Hello and welcome to the general shipping thread for Kuroshitsuji, also known as Black Butler, a manga/anime series about a boy named Ciel Phantomhive who basically sells his soul to a demon and gets a loyal butler in return. Might sound odd, but if you read/watch it, you'll see that it makes perfect sense. Anyway, if you're here, you must already know about it, since we're here to discuss shipping!
Rules: The rules are very basic. Follow general SPPf rules and be respectful. Everyone is bound to like different things, and you need to deal with it. Also, since this series is as of now not licensed, there are bound to be spoilers if you haven't finished the anime or kept up with the manga. For now I'd say read at your own risk, cause it's either everything in spoiler tags since it's Japan only or none, so let's go with none.
To start off, here's a basic question everyone can answer no matter when you reply: What is your favorite couple and why?
For me, it's Sebastian x Grell, the wonderful and one-sided result of a gay reaper crushing on a very uninterested demon. *yes, biased with the thread pic* There isn't a ton going on in the manga that didn't also happen in the anime to be honest. But the anime, oh the anime! Grell's extended appearance lead to even more lovesickness, as well as seeing that Sebastian can manipulate him to a tee. "I tie cherry stalks with my tongue" indeed! I know SebastianxCiel is the most popular ship in the fandom without a doubt, but I routed for Grell the whole time, and I continue to hope he'll reappear in the anime. It's very doubtful he'll ever change Sebastian's mind, true, but I can keep dreaming. ...Though I'm oddly okay with it staying the way it is. It's too amusing not to like it one-sided too.
...It's been a looong time since I made a thread, so I hope I'm not missing anything important... Well, please, feel free to jump and and answer topics/make your own/fangirl (or fanboy) to your hearts content. I have plenty more couples I support, but I'll sit tight and hope someone else on SPPf is into this epic series before I go further. Oh, and have fun!
