Do not steal, or Kyogre will eat you and pass you through his digestive system as he sits on the can reading the New Yorker. :p Okay, that was disgusting. I apologize. I know the flippers look a little off; they looked awkward staying paddle-shaped. I generally imagine this as an alternate ending to Sapphire. oO

That's one nice drawing/art/whatever. What city is that supposed to be?

It could use a bit more of a medium color scheme, it'll make things stand out a bit more. Other than that though it looks cool. You have your lights and darks, but not enough mediums...

In fact, the resemblance is a little TOO close for comfort. Er… well, I hope you got the artist's permission first!

No, that art is completely different subject wise. The idea is the same (silhouette, sun, etc) but it's a fairly common technique from what I see. I've seen that artwork a long time ago, and the basic gist has stayed with me, but I consider this 100% original work.

I don't mean to start anything now, but… I just can't stand by like that!
But that one is a Kyogre about to destroy a City by the Sea.

The DeviantArt one is a Lugia in front of an angry Mewtwo.

There's a difference, though the style of drawing and coloring is eerily similar. Like that dude said, hopefully you got permission from the Artist who created the other picture because that might count as Art Theft... Unless the artist on DeviantArt and you are the exact same person...

How is it art theft? oO Our styles are similar, yes, but that doesn't equate art theft. I've made a lot of art and posted them here in the past, and I don't stoop to stealing art. -.-

I would otherwise believe you. However, due to the similar 'flow' of the pose between the two subjects, and the almost matching shape of the wings/flippers, well, to be blunt, it seems you just traced the wings and body of the Lugia, threw on a Kyogre head, replaced the ledge with the splashing water and city skyline, and used the exact same lighting. Even the lens flare seems ripped off!

Now for my critique (other than the tracing): Well, since I can't comment on the Kyogre, I'm gonna say that the skyline is nicely done, with proper reflections and such. Well done on that aspect. :)

:/ Meh, I know they look similar, but I assure you, I made that scene from my scanned drawing and added in Photoshop effects and colors. It isn't traced, nor is it a Kyogre "thrown on" a Lugia body. But if you won't be convinced, I can't do anything to change your mind. Thank you for your critque, and thanks goes out to all others for commenting and critiquing it.

Yeah, that could be possible... Maybe even vectoring on Photoshop...

Ah, whatever. It looks great, but the waves look too much like fire, in my honest opinion. The city looks fine, though I don't get what the radar-like circle on the lower right corner of the City is for. Kyogre looks alright, but it somehow looks too gray... It's supposed to be blue, right?

Trust me, if I knew how to use the Vectoring tool on Photoshop, I've have come up with something better than a cheap copy. The circle is a "lens flare" effect on Photoshop, (still trying to figure out how to prevent that). It's grayed-out because of the intense light behind it, so the colors are overwhelmed.

Then maybe you should also make a Kyuubi-Ninetails parody as well. That would make for a great piece of... "Inspired Art". :p
