Last Eclipse - The Worlds´ Collapse
Due to Lithi´s disappearance for several reasons, I´ve found myself unable to start up the RPG The Ark. --; I´m sorry about that, but I´ll be able to handle this by myself.
The second is the Crystal Pallasch Rheinstar, ruled by the middle-aged Grand Minister, Cain L. Wolte, at the top of the Cobalt Tower. Rheinstar is much busier and bustling than the lazy Céribe, and therefore more technologically advanced as well. It is a kingdom living in quick prosperity and everyday advances in science and technology.
They exist individually in the cosmic sea known as the Great Fate, an eternal flow of energy. Many different worlds have flourished in the Great Fate, with Céribe and Rheinstar, homes to the human species, as the largest.
But then, why are Céribe and Rheinstar in the middle of a secret war? They both need something, and that something only exists in limited quantities.
Ore.
Ore is the material by which the Great Fate flows; without ore, the Great Fate stops moving, and, while it is unknown as to exactly what would this cause, all scientists agree that it would result in a dimensional collapse, a truly catastrophic event. The problem is in the fact that ore only exists in one place: at the center of the Great Fate, in an area called the Prime Mover. Before, both Céribe and Rheinstar had nothing to worry about regarding ore; it replenished itself, and the Great Fate moved without problems.
But the great growth in size and population of the two kingdoms has upset the balance between them and all the other smaller worlds along the Great Fate. Now, the eternal flow of energy does not cycle properly, and in order to sustain Céribe and Rheinstar, it needs to use a much greater quantity of ore. Now, the Holy Material is not replenishing at the same rate as it is being used.
Ore is running out.
Predictions as to when no ore will be left vary among experts, but it is not expected to last more than five years. Then the World Collapse will occur, and we certainly don´t want that.
However, ancient theologists and ceremonial prophecies point to a solution. They point to the Twelve Deities. The Deities are strange, yet incredibly powerful beings that travel across the Great Fate. Each Deity is different, but all twelve were created from residues of ore, eons ago. Now they drift through the Universe without much of a purpose.
However, if a Deity is destroyed, it will release all the ore in its body, and the ore will immediately travel to the Prime Mover. If all twelve Deities are killed, experts agree on the fact that all the extra ore will manage to maintain the kingdoms.
So then, both Céribe and Rheinstar have a common goal. What´s the problem?
Greed.
Sure, if Rheinstar gets six Deities and Céribe gets the other six, there will be enough ore for both to be sustained. But what if Rheinstar got all twelve? The massive increase in ore would turn the kingdom into a haven of glory, a utopia of things never imagined. And Céribe would fall into decay and, ultimately, be reduced to a drifting piece of rock.
Of course, the inhabitants of Céribe have also thought of this. It is now a full-out mad search for the Deities, for the greed of the kingdoms´ leaders.
For this, the two kingdoms have unearthed their greatest treasures: ancient weapons, the only things capable of harming a Deity. For years they had been training those who had been born with the symbol of the Rhythm marked on their bodies: strange, black signs on different body parts for each person. Knowing that they were the key to the Deity prophecy, they were trained in the art of battle, and now have been chosen by their respective weapon. They will soon set out and search far and wide for the Deities, across the Great Fate in a search for their own salvation and each other´s demise. The fate of Céribe and Rheinstar rests on their shoulders, as they compete against each other to find and slay the first Deity...
Of course, you are one of these chosen individuals.
Great Fate: Think of it as the RPG´s equivalent of outer space, it is a black, infinite area of cosmic flow that can only be traveled with the help of some kind of vessel. On the Great Fate are all the island-worlds, as well as Céribe and Rheinstar, floating.
Céribe: The Emerald Reign. It is a paradise-like island with a prosperous kingdom on it, and the Jade Fortress is the home to its ruler, 19-year-old Zephyr.
Rheinstar: The Crystal Pallasch, a prosperous kingdom much like our world regarding technological advances and the like. Rheinstar is ruled by the Grand Minister, 53-year-old Cain L. Wolte.
Ore: Also known as the Holy Material, ore is needed for the Great Fate to continue flowing across all worlds. Currently ore is running out because of Céribe and Rheinstar´s huge populations and size, which is a rather big problem.
Prime Mover: An area in the middle of the Great Fate, where all the ore is.
World Collapse: What will happen if ore runs out. Nobody knows exactly what will be its effect, but experts agree on one thing: all worlds will disappear.
Deities: The last hope for salvation from the World Collapse. They are mysterious entities hidden throughout the Great Fate, and made out of pure ore. If killed, their ore will flow to the Prime Mover. There are twelve Deities, and if all are killed the flow of ore will be restored. However, both kingdoms want all the ore for themselves, which is why now they are fighting.
Chosen One: The twelve chosen humans who will wield the Sacred Weapons and destroy the Deities.
Sacred Weapon: There are twelve sacred weapons, six in Céribe and six in Rheinstar. Only they can harm a Deity. The Chosen Ones wield them.
Rhythm Mark: Each Chosen One has a Rhythm Mark somewhere in his/her body. It is a black circle with intricate signs in it, and it proves that the person is Chosen One.
RHEINSTAR WEAPONS (Weapon Name - Element - Trinity)
Aguni - Fire - Rage: Aguni consists of two ruby-red short swords, connected to golden gauntlets by silver chains. The short blades can be used in melee combat, or shot forward with the power of fire, to then return thanks to the chains. Though it is one of the quickest weapons, each individual hit from Aguni isn´t too powerful.
Power: Create tiny flames.
Indra - Lightning - Rage: Indra is a long, decorated spear of silver with a wide, arching blade like the crescent moon, excellent for melee combat. Alternately, it can also be thrown like a javelin, and teleports back to the user after a few moments. This, however, leaves the wielder weaponless for several seconds.
Power: Weak electric currents.
Gu - Metal - Rage: Gu is a slow, but groundshaking arm. A hulking, pewter cannon filled with exquisite carvings of all kinds of people and animals, it is to be hoisted on the shoulder to fire extremely powerful cannonball shots. Regarding ammunition, the weapon relies on the wielder´s control over metal, who can gather nearby metal particles to form cannonballs (or other small things if necessary). The entire process takes time, but can destroy fortress walls.
Power: Gather nearby metal particles to create small objects.
Fenrir - Shadow - Umbra: Fenrir is long-reaching and imposing. It is an agito katana, the obsidian hilt wrapped in dark bandages extending to the long, polished blade of steel. Fenrir´s blade reach is great, but because of this, it is also difficult to wield and its blade isn´t as earth-shattering as it could be if it were shorter.
Power: Create black mists around self.
Fafnir - Chaos - Umbra: Fafnir consists of two things: a small, short, blood-red dagger and a necklace amulet of similar colors. As long as the wielder is wearing the necklace, Fafnir can be thrown as a kunai, and immediately another identical knife will appear in the wielder´s hand. With concentration, multiple knives can be summoned. Because of this Fafnir has limited close-range capabilities, as well as possibly the highest firing speed of any weapon. However, because of its nature, it is difficult to defend oneself with it.
Power: Cause slight feelings of hatred in others.
Marduk - Matter - Umbra: Marduk is rather unique. An ancient, blunt baton color gray, full of strange carvings and symbols, Marduk can only be used to defend in melee combat. However, the wielder can alter the form of Marduk in any way: make it much longer, or wider, or even twenty times heavier or lighter or more resistant. Although as of now these powers are limited, much can still be done. However, because of Marduk´s strange nature, it´s difficult to use it directly as a weapon, as it is a rather versatile item.
Power: Slightly change the shape of inanimate objects.
CÉRIBE WEAPONS (Weapon - Element - Trinity)
Charybdis - Water - Calm: Charybdis is a long, cobalt blue mace ending in a large sphere with ancient markings. A rather heavy weapon, strength is certainly required to manage it. However, its blunt power can shatter even large rocks when wielded correctly, as well as defend quite profficiently. Its slowness makes it rather sluggish when compared to other weapons.
Power: Create and control small amounts of water.
Rhea - Nature - Calm: Rhea is a large, metallic ring with spike-like blades coming out of the outer edge. Ancient vines that never seem to die wrap around the ring, giving the wielder many places to grasp this weapon without fear of self-harm. Rhea is light and quick; it can be used for close combat or thrown great distances, as it will come back like a boomerang. However, all of Rhea´s outer edge is spiked, and thus can be unwieldly if used unappropriately.
Power: Grow small plants.
Roldan - Air - Calm: Roldan is an armor set, actually: two gauntlets (arm guards), two greaves (leg guards) and a chestplate. They all have a light blue and gold color scale. Roldan has the ability of extended hits; when the user punches, wind carries the impact forward, so that a punch can hit a foe several feet away. The same goes for kicking. However, while Roldan´s defense is good, the wielder still takes the hits´ impacts.
Power: Create weak wind currents.
Uriel - Light - Holy: Uriel is a beautiful, golden longbow that hits quickly and with impressive accuracy and can be used to defend thanks to its sturdiness. It comes with a quiver of seven arrows, and to reload, a prayer that lasts about twenty seconds is required, the weapon´s only downside.
Power: Illuminate nearby areas.
Metatron - Order - Holy: Metatron is a rapier with a golden hilt and a shining, silver blade. Do not be fooled by its frail looks: its sublime blade can pierce almost anything without trouble. However, being so thin, it may give in while defending.
Power: Cure small wounds.
Tiamat - Time - Holy: Tiamat would normally be considered an ordinary, white-hilt saber, but it is always in its ivory sheath. This is to conceal Tiamat´s power: when the sword is unsheathed, its blade shines strongly, which for a moment completely stops the movement of everything around it except for the wielder. However, Tiamat´s blade itself isn´t very strong, and several slashes are required to do great damage.
Power: Make organisms move a bit slower than normal.

Kingdom: Your home kingdom, either Céribe or Rheinstar.
Appearance: It has to be at least four lines long, as usual. Céribe´s attire usually consists of what would be ancient clothing in our world, while Rheinstar´s clothing is more contemporary. Make sure to include where your character has the Rhythm symbol.
Personality: Again, four lines long at the least. You know the drill with this one, I´m sure. Chances are you don´t get along with people of the opposing kingdom.
Weapon: The weapon that your character wields. Make sure to look at the Weapon Claims first. Obviously, your weapon should be one from your kingdom.
RPG Sample: A sample of your RPGing. I´ll accept things from other RPGs, or if you want, you can make a short sample of your character being informed of the RPG´s current events (The current situation with ore and the Deities has been hidden from the general public) or training with his/her weapon. My Sign-Up:
Name: Cairo E. Phaedra
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Kingdom: Céribe
Appearance: Cairo´s hair is pitch black, and falls down to the base of his neck. It becomes bristly and thorny toward the bottom as he doesn´t comb it all that much, and some stray bangs hamper his vision. His eyes are jade green are are usually fixated on a single objective. His skin is very lightly tanned due to Céribe´s glimmering sunlight, which he usually avoids while being inside of the Jade Fortress´ walls, a place he has rarely ever left. He may seem a bit frail for a Chosen One, as he has neglected his physical training a bit, but has enough to hold his own and is quite the swordfighter. For clothing he wears a black, sleeveless shirt under a navy blue cloak, concealing most of his other clothes. The cloak has a golden insignia on the center of the neck. His pants are black as well, with shoes ringed by metallic bars. On his right arm are three identical, silver bracelets. Tiamat is concealed under his cloak, strapped to his left hip. His Rhythm Mark is on his right shoulderblade.
Personality: Introverted. Cairo doesn´t enjoy going out any more than is necessary, and usually stayed inside the Jade Fortress´ walls, drawing or reading the infinite numbers of books contained within the castle. Because of this he never did manage to establish much of a relationship with any of the five other Chosen Ones from Céribe, and is a bit of an outsider even among them. Regarding the recent turn of events, he feels like it is a bit of an absurd mission to go and kill twelve monsters whose locations he has no idea about--mainly because he has no wish to stray out of the Jade Fortress. And yet and he is bound to follow the King, who he has great respect for, and thus has quietly accepted the mission. Cairo feels no personal aversion toward Rheinstar, but will do what is necessary to succeed for his kingdom. Intelligent to a fault, he will sometimes stay behind and muse about the reason why they have to do something instead of go and do it; one could say he thinks way too much.
Weapon: Tiamat, Time Element, Holy Trinity.
RPG Sample: I´ll have to add this in later.

THE LAST ECLIPSE
There are two great kingdoms in existence. The first is the Emerald Reign Céribe, a paradise-like island with a prosperous kingdom growing on it. The young King, 19-year-old Zephyr, rules over the realm with justice from the Jade Fortress. Each weapon is different from the next, and is bound to a particular element or force: the power of this element will increase as the RPG progresses.
