Last move for salamence

Going for gold symbols now, I decide to use an oober team. Over used, I know. But they get the job done. Anyways, I'm stuck on the last move of my (physical) sweeping salamence, although its special attack ain't half bad either. Here are its moves.
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
aerial ace
???
There are three I've been considering: Flamethrower, rockslide, or dragon claw. Of course, there may be something I'm overlooking. Please help. If its any help, I'll list the rest of my team.

Starmie @ shell bell (Sp. sweeper)
Psychic
thunderbolt
ice beam
surf


Metagross @ brightpowder (tank)
meteor mash
shadow ball
brick break
earthquake

Don't go off telling me "HOMFG totaly OVARUSED!!!111one!" I chose this team, so deal. My main concern is salamence, but you could suggest movesets on the others, but NOT other pokemon.

nope rock slide is physical + takes dragon claws place(unless against kindgra,flygon) and on metagross maybe replace brick break with agility

Oh, one with high special defense? Metagross kinda does, but nothing an overheat couldn't take, especially those who use white herbs.

You're kinda right. It's a huge flaw. An opponents special sweeper could use ice beam on mence, thunderbolt on starmie, and when metagross beats it, it could switch to a flamethrower-ish pokemon.

Recover helps you a lot more. All the other moves cover what Psychic does anyway. Seeing you want your Metagross as a tank, CBgross would be a better choice.

I chose bashful on mence because I didn't want to sacrifice too much sp Attk due to I might need a sp. Attk move. I think flamethrower helps a lot more. Since it covers steel and pesky megahorning heracross, while rock slide covers flying and bug, but flying is already covered by starmie, so rock slide only covers bugs, which are better handled with special moves (flamethrower) and it has more base power...

I've experimented with recover... it's definitely not worth it because when someone manages to hit starmie, it is usually fatal, so half health is almost never enough.

Sludge bomb and explosion = used. All nice suggestions though.

... why would a flying-type with 135 base attack and aerial ace be worried about heracross?

And that flying type in questions got 110 base Spec. Atk as well. Even with a - Spec. Atk nature like Adamant mence can OHKO a Skarmory with Fire Blast.

Fire Blast is only needed in the metagame. Rock Slide is better ingame.

I couldn't care for strmie, and imo it's ****.
Gardevoir is bad too.

Special Sweepers can't be mentioned without a picture of Gengar coming up.

Trust me, if I had access to it, I would get it in a heart beat >>. I have firered, but I'm not buying another gameboy and a link cable just to have a better chance of beating the frontier. Rather wait for D/P.

F_M just doesn't like Psychic special sweepers coz they own his fighting pokemon. :D

I was explaining about how Fire Blast was better than Flamethrower for mence because you asked why before, and yes, I think Rock Slide would be the better choice ingame.

Flamethrower is better for mence in-game because of the simple fact that it has more PP.
