See the sad thing here is, it's true ;_; I swear people just conform to be in the "in crowd". That's why the PS2 and games like the GTA series are so popular besides the games being unbelievable overrated -_-;

What part of that is a shock? Nintendo things are generally very popular in Japan, plus the fact that it's almost Christmas, plus the fact that Animal Crossing WW is so popular. So really I'm not surprized at that at all.

Nice numbers. Whips the 360 by 400,000, PS2 by about 353,000, and it's main competitor, the PSP by 313,000. Plus 6 DS games out of the top ten. Sony, give up and go to hell.

On December 1, 2005, Media Create stated that Animal Crossing: Wild World sold 325,466 copies in Japan in its first week of availability, beating the previous mark set by Jump Superstars and becoming the best selling title for Nintendo DS.

My guess is yes.

WOW! The DS is getting really awesome sales, and Animal Crossing is probally the reason. Hopefully the DS can keep these sales up, with the upcoming 2006 games.

Even though Japan recieved huge numbers of 360 consoles, sales of the GBA SP or Micro handhelds, have each been above sales of 360 consoles in every week since release. That's got to be somewhat embarassing for Microsoft. I wonder how the PS1's are doing. I know they used to regulary beat the XBox, but I don't see them on the list above.

If my calculations are correct, this means Nintendo controlled a full 74% of the console market last week, very impressive.

I see even the dying GCN managed to beat out the 360. So much for Microsoft's attempts to appeal to a worldwide audience

Sadly, the chav thing is true. Somebody I know told their mate not to get a DS because it goes moody on everyone. Way to think up something stupid. Some lad I hate because he went on about the DS being crap hugged a PSP sign.

Shock for the DS to get so high. Shows that it's reigning in most places. Even the Gamecube's beat the Xbox 360.
