Hey, my friends recently told me that when you go to Southern Island, you have a higher rate of shininess for Lati@s. I've looked around for information about this, but I have gotten nothing. Can anyone help?

Sorry, but the Latias/ Latios on Southern Island have the same shiny rate as any other Pokémon. However, you can soft reset for one, which with the Latias/ Latios which flee is more difficult to do (soft reset before the TV announcement).

He probably ment it's less work (easier) to get one that's shiny there.

It depends on how they ment it the rate of catching a shiny Lati@s is still the same but it isn't like the one you see on the TV report. The Lati@s you see on the report is determend Shiny or normal at the start of the game (The Moving Truck) On Southern Island you can soft reset every time it is not shiny

Actually it's nature, shinyness and (low) EVs are determined after you watch the tv report.

I don't have a Shiny Lati@s, but good luck! I do have the Eon Ticket E-Reader card. ^^
