Yes. Why wouldnt they. The Soul Dew is an item that only can be got from having the EON TICKET. So that means that about half of you dont have it.

Actually, Hallnavy is wrong. Latios and Latias are only considered uber if they are holding the Soul Dew, never without. Without holding it they are OU.

Statwise they don't have what it takes to be ubers. If they were to be considered ubers without soul dew then you'd also have to include pokemon like snorlax, swampert, salamence, etc. With the soul dew they surpass the others. Without it the just make it into the overused rank.

Ubers are only considered ubers by their excessively high stats. A lot of other pokémons have good movesets and still,they are not considered ubers.

hey I got a question, when catching lati@s in ru/saph do they have set IVs from the start of the game or can they be changed as long as you don't save after battling the league like in emerald, and their natures are fixed aren't they because I have been restarting again and again for a timid one and still nothing.

their powerful w/o soul dew you know, and with soul dew, with pretty much no evs you can get it something like 450 sp attack stat and 400 sp defence stat which is why its uber with it. Otherwise as it has been said already, its just another 600 base stat pokemon like tyranitar, dragonite, metagross or salamence, though they are considered to be legends but so are zapdos moltres and articuno...

You know, pikachu learns a few good moves; thunder, surf, focus punch etc but its still not an uber.

the latis are only uber with soul dew, otherwise they're like any other overused pokemon... I do admit to using soul dew in Battle frontier but still they have an awesome moveset! just give em something like the I dunno lefties or peta berrie and bam a super non uber sweeper!

I just found out what uber was on this forum when I came and signed up. And since they are legendary soul dew or no soul dew they are uber.

Lati@s are considered uber without Soul Dew.

Their base stat total equals to 600, which is on par with the "pseudo-legendaries" Salamence, Metagross, Tyranitar, and Dragonite.

Dragon/Psychic with Levitate is a sexy typing; it resists Thunderbolts, Focus Punches, Psychics, Earthquakes, and Surfs. The only Bug moves used are random HP Bugs and Megahorn (the latter is seen coming from a mile away), Shadow Ball is the only Ghost move, Ice Beam is the only ice move, the only Pokemon that can stand up to Lati@s with Crunch is Tyranitar, and Dragon moves are nearly nonexistant. Also, Lati@s has sick Special Defense, which only increases with Calm Mind, so good luck OHKOing/2HKOing it with a special move.

Let's look at the "OU" moveset:

Lati@s @ Leftovers
-Calm Mind
-Dragon Claw
-Safeguard
-Recover

With Lati@s's decent/good HP/Defenses, no special attacker will touch this after a few Calm Minds. Blissey won't do much to it either; Thunder Wave is blocked with Safeguard and Ice Beam is shrugged off. Physical attackers are usually 2HKOed with Dragon Claw, and Lati@s can take some physical hits and shrug it off with Recover. If Metagross gives you worries, tech HP Fire > Safeguard. The same goes for Shedinja, but Spikes/random status are rampant in OU.

So, the only plausible OU counters that can switch in safely and defeat Lati@s are Snorlax, Regice, and Metagross with no HP Fire.

It's been tested, and it's broken in OU. Do we really need this monstrosity?
