More balanced? Latios and Latias have the same base stats; the difference is that their offensive and defensive stats are switched. So they're equally balanced. =/

Latios is stronger then Latias in all stats. But I like Latias more because it was the first I caught out of the two. I remember the night me and my friend were searching for the birds. I found Latias on the route near Mauville and caught it with my Master Ball. My friend then found his later on after hours of searching, Latios, and also caught it with a Master Ball. Good times.

Latias, better defence, lacks normal attack, but I just use Dragon Claw and status moves (CM, Recover, Safegaurd)

For the sake of being on topic, yeah, I still like Latios better and still think Latias has the most horrendous Shining form in existence.

^ Latios' isn't much better. Green + orange = Emo Evanji. Latias' shiny looks worse because there's so much obnoxious orange.

As I said, purple and gold would be much, much nicer.

Which pokemon is the smarter one of the two? Please give answers that are based on the 5th movie cause you can hardly tell any of the pokemons skills in the games apart from its attack and condition ect.​

I agree with you, master power kirby. also, in the japanese version of pokemon heroes latios can turn into a human AND communicate with people using telepathy. at least, thats what i heard.

I would go with Latias because I like the Stats she has. I chose Latias in my Emerald Version. I trained her up to Lv. 74, then I entered her in the Battle Frontier. She won me a lot of the Frontier Symbols I have! I have 6 Symbols. I need the Battle Factory one...

I lean toward the Latios side, being a more offensive person. Latias is the one who has all the better stats and natures in my games.

I have multiple Latios and Latias, and also Metagross. I've seen that Latias is better for endurance competitions, and Latios is better for quickly dispatching pokemon. Metagross is almost like a combo of the two...
