Any ball will work. It's just easier to use a master ball because Latias/Latios will try to flee first turn. There is a thread on Latias/Latios/Feebas in the R/S/E FAQs though.

Use something like a Wobbufett (sp?) to make sure it can't run, and then just catch it in an Ultra Ball. That's what I'd do.

Thats true but more SPAM

The best way is Master Ball. But if you dont like that idea, then get a fast pokemon hit it. Let it escape. Find it again, and hit it again. Repeat cycle until you got Latios to red. Then make it go to sleep somehow (fast pokemon) then catch it. But you can use arena trap with Dugtrio or something. Use Ultra or Master

You could do what I did and just put Wobbuffet first in your party, find it, and then just start chucking PokéBalls at it. You could use Ultra Balls if you really wanted, I suppose.. I just prefered using the PokéBall. :p​

I don't think Arena Trap would work, because Lati@s has Levitate. Shadow Tag works, though. I used an Ultra Ball to catch Latias, by the way.

On Emerald I used a ultra ball to catch it by using wobbufet in the front.

Arena trap doesn't work if the other pokemon has levitate.

You can trade for a Latios from a friend,then trade it back.Then Latios will be recorded to your dex.You can use the repeat ball.
However,it's better to use a master ball.

use wobbofet at level 40 find latios use mirror move make it red them chn¡ange to a fast pokemon the have ipnosis,sleep power or somethin them make it sleep.find it again with wobbofet and use ultra balls.
