Okay, I think my team is finally steady enough to ask for help. I've been doing a Nuzlocke challenge of Leafgreen, and I think my team is steady enough now to get help without too much worry of losing team members. Here's my (hopefully) final team. Please note that this team is already complete, so I wont' be using egg moves, nor will I change natures or abilities.

Replace Swords Dance over Slash on Sandslash

Fearow looks good I guess..for Fearow..just give it Agility.

Slowbro looks good too..but..Give it Surf, Psychic, Calm Mind, Thunder Wave/Rest. (Bold Nature)

Ninetales...Bleh. Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Grudge, Will-O-Wisp, Faint Attack/Hidden Power Grass.

Give Lapras Sing/Confuse Ray over Psychic.

Please dude, make it easier on us to post Items/Natures.

Thanks for the suggestions, I made many of the suggested changes. Also, I forgot to mention it at first, but I won't be using egg moves nor will I be changing abilities or natures on my Pokemon, as I already have my whole team. Lastly, I won't be using Grudge on Ninetales for two reasons: First, I've already evolved Vulpix and it's too late to learn it, and second, it would be practically useless in a Nuzlocke challenge.

Double Edge on a Nuzlocke Ninetails? Interesting. And like WillsPokemon said Agility is the best option for that last slot on Fearow. I noticed you only have three moves on it so I'd keep Steel Wing to hit Rock types.

Good point about Double-edge on Ninetales. Would Body Slam be better? Or is there another better option altogether? Also, there was supposed to be Pursuit listed on my Fearow, I must have just forgotten to type it. Which would be better, Pursuit or Steel Wing? I'm guessing probably Steel Wing, since Fearow is a physical attacker, but I want to be sure.

Ice Beam>Psychic for better coverage.

~ Return / HP Grass
~ Will O Wisp

~ Confuse Ray

Why hasn't anybody mentioned Return? You don't really need to paralyze wit hBody Slam once you already burned the foe.Return has a base power of around 100 at max happiness,so run it ;)

Now that I think about it... give it Calm Mind and Rest if you're doing a Nuzlocke challenge..

Duh, should've thought of Return myself. I'll definitely go for that if I can't get HP Grass. I'll consider both options for Slowbro, I'm really not sure which direction I want to go. I pretty much never use Rest in-game before, I'm more of an all-offense kind of guy, with just the occasional stat booster or status inflicter. Still, if you guys think Rest is the best way to go, I'll try it.

I'd suggest something else on Fearow instead of agility. Maybe fly, so it can fly you places. Agility isn't very useful on fearow.

Right now, I've just got Fly on it because yes, it's more useful right now. But at the Elite 4, it's useless to have Fly when Fearow already has Drill Peck, so I'll replace it with Agility then.

EDIT: Also, I've now realized that Hidden Power is unobtainable in Leafgreen outside of Pickup, so I guess that rules that out. I've also just realized that there is only one TM for Return in-game. So that leaves my big question: Who needs Return more, Fearow or Ninetales?

EDIT 2: Never mind all of that. By all the crappy luck in the world, my poor Ninetales got killed by the last pair of trainers in Victory Road. R.I.P. Foxface, Lv. 32 - 46. My new final team member is the Onix that I caught in Victory Road:

Onix
-Rock Head-
-Dig (because I already used Earthquake on Sandslash)
-Rock Tomb (because I already used Rock Slide on Sandslash)

-Iron Tail/Dragonbreath

Sorry for your loss.

Just for the joke, would it be appropriate to have a funeral?

The set for Onix is fine. Iron Tail would obviously be better once you can get Steelix but that'll be a while from now obviously.

Suggestions up in BOLD.

I'll make this argument with anyone who wants to, but Frenzy Plant, once the access to it becomes available, and it clearly is at this point, is Venusaur's BEST MOVE AVAILABLE IN GENERATION III. The turn of recharge really doesn't affect it, as it's of no hassle to switch out the turn following the KO. Let's face it, nothing ingame bar that Level 60 Chansey on Island 7 or something with moderately decent Special Defence or a higher level (both of those two factoring a resitance to Grass-Type moves) is going to live a STAB Frenzy Plant from your level 55-ish Venusaur. If it does, then recharge, I highly doubt it poses much of a threat anyways. Body Slam and or Return make a hell of a better option for Venusaur. If you use Leech Seed, then SubSeeding is really the only way to go. Otherwise, you're wasting your time. Use Sludge Bomb once you get the opportunity.

For the love of God, do not waste your TM 29 on Slowbro. It learns it naturally (Level 54), which is not too low of a level for you to have pre-Elite Four. Thunder Wave makes for a great supporting move, especially for Venusaur, giving it that opportunity to get a Frenzy Plant off first.

You can run Psychic over Confuse Ray on Lapras if you want. It's extra coverage, and in a pinch situation against Bruno / Fighting Type Pokemon for example, may do you better than just using a STAB Surf. Totally optional, its just good to have a 'Plan B', especially if Slowbro is to die off prematurely.

Generally, Onix is horrible without Earthquake or Rock Slide, and here, we have no exception. Evolving it (if you're willing to negate the no-trade rule) and giving it Iron Tail is your Onix's only shot at being a 'decent' Pokemon. Is it too late to take a replacement suggestion? It will be a b*tch to train, but Rhydon is much more favourable (if you cannot trade Onix). Here's a set:

112.gif

Rhydon
-Double Edge
-Megahorn
-Earthquake
-Rock Blast

Rock Blast is actually a fairly decent move, guaranteed you hit more than twice. The minumum damage output is half that of Rock Tomb, but the maximum is that of DPP's Stone Edge. Defense and Special Defence stats are about equal, and this thing packs a much bigger punch. And please, for the sake of humanity, get one with Rock Head. The big risk is that it is a Safari Zone Pokemon, meaning you may not be guaranteed to get one. Do try though. Good luck with the rest of the Nuzlocke. A quick question though. Are you going to be continuing on with the post-E4 side story? If so, I'll be happy to make a change or two regarding your Pokemon.

Thanks for the suggestions. My Venusaur actually does have Frenzy Plant. My problem is that it can't just stay out against Lorelei to use Frenzy Plant on everything, which just doesn't work out for the rest of the team, who can do very little against her Slowbro, which can OHKO my Venusaur if I try to leave it out. I'd love to use Return on Venusaur, but I already used that TM on Fearow, so I'll consider Body Slam. However, Leech Seed has worked out very well for me thus far, so I might keep it.

Don't worry, I didn't use the Psychic TM on Slowbro. And for the record, Slowbro learns Psychic at Lv.44, not 54. Thunder Wave is also a definite.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck with Onix. A Nuzlocke challenge means that you can only catch the first Pokemon you catch on each route, and I wasn't lucky enough to get a Rhyhorn. So, I'm stuck with the Onix that I did get.

Lastly, no, I won't be continuing post-E4. It's been tough enough as is, and I've still got a ton of level-grinding to do before I'm ready to take on the Elite 4. I challenged them once and got creamed by Lorelei, only taking out her Dewgong and Slowbro. (Alright, so I cheated and just went back to the last place I'd saved rather than treating it as a game over. Sue me!)
