League, Elite 4, Both?

This is just asking what you'd rather have? Would you rather have a Pokemon League that you enter, battle until you win or lose? An Elite 4 that you battled until you win? Or Both?

I'd of course would like both. The Elite 4 could be an after quest. I like the idea of a league because then your skills as a trainer gets fully tested. You battle different Pokemon. Different types without knowing. Another reason I like it is most people only train six Pokemon. With a League, You can choose between a few different Pokemon. The Elite 4 doesn't allow you to do so, so, your stuck with same six, without healing (at a Pokemon Center), for five six on six battles. But with a League I could train multiple Pokemon without not using some of them.

And the first person who directs me to the "Ideas that Won't Happen" thread, says "anime /=/ games" or anything like that, I will rip your face off, okay.

I'd like to see both, but not for the actual final challenge. I'd like to see the traditional Elite Four/Champion mix, but I'd like the pokemon to change after each rematch. Later, I'd like the game to have another Battle-Fronteir like area, with a Battle Dome/Tournament style challenge.

I've always wondered why the games don't have a league, it seems pretty stupid. The closest we get to a league would probably be the Battle Dome in Emerald.

I agree that the Elite 4 should come "after" the league, as some sort of final challenge with Lvl 90+ Pokemon.

Essentially the Battle Towers are leagues. I like the current system they have now, though it could stand to be improved. I would like to see them modify the Battle Tower with different divisions and "cups", like we saw in Pokemon Stadium - Pika, Petit, Poke, Prime, etc. Then again, some people would argue that they should reserve the "league-style" cups for the 3D games... I don't see why the games can't offer both.

I can see where you're coming from though. It was pretty cool in Pokemon Stadium to narrow your 6-strong team into 3 for each battle, and a League would make sense.

I like both. I love to battle the Elite Four, and the League is usually even more challenging. So, both.

I'd like to see a league type system, and then the option to go to 4 new areas and battle the Elite 4 one by one to gain the title Pokemon Master (rather than Champion). It's very much like the show, which I think has a much better approach to the finales. You could maybe have more than just the new regions Elite 4, but also include various prior Elite 4 members throughout the game, with the option to battle them as well. Maybe make it into a post-game quest, to find all the Elites and defeat them all. Kind of like Gold/Silver had the Kanto region to do, but without having to include an entirely seperate region.

I'd often thought of liking to see an actual Pokemon League with rounds and such. I always had the idea that it would be a way of either:

a) Qualifying to enter the Elite 4
or
b) Qualifying to enter another land mass' tournament (ie, Johto to Kanto, etc)

I remember once writing a list in which there were 10 - yes, 10, countries and 1 challenge at the end of each. I'll see if I can dig it out. I wrote it when I was about 6 so it would be quite amusing.

So in other words you're content with them rehashing the same concept for the 4th time? The Elite 4 should return, but the concept of the game is beyond stale.

The Battle Frontier was a step in the right direction, hopefully we get more of that.

True, but the games could incorporate some things from the Anime, such as the Lake of Rage in the Metal Generation. (Or did the Anime take that from the games?) Or take Yellow Version, for example. (That WAS a joke.)

Elite Four would be suitable. A new & improved Battle Frontier should be available as well, including the 'League' as a new event, and possibly some new battle features.

And Kanto's Elite Four wasn't challenging?
I personally like the Elite Four being easier, but I'd like to see something you could do afterwards that's not Battle Tower or Contests.

Definetly both. I like to train using the elite 4 most of the time and a league wouldn't be a bad idea for it.

If they were going to change it. It would have been changed before now. Although I wouldn't mind Higher Levels for the Elite 4.
