Leeds/Reading Festival 2010
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in the United Kingdom and are run by Festival Republic (itself owned by Live Nation and MCD). The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend, sharing the same bill. This year the festivals are running between the 27th August to the 29th August 2010.
Before they sold out, full weekend tickets that allowed the ticketholder to set up camp onsite were at a price of £180 (Approx $287). 'Day tickets' that permitted entry for a single day only (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) were at a much lower price. Due to the high demand for tickets, they sold out within 24 hours of first sale and can now only be found on third party site such as eBay or Viagogo, reaching prices as high as £300 ($479) for a full weekend ticket.

They always have killer line ups and headlining bands across multiple stages and this year they aren't going to disappoint.
There are over 150 bands/artists playing this year including Blink 182, Paramore, Guns N' Roses, Queens Of The Stone Age, Pendulum, Arcade Fire, LCDSoundsystem, Klaxons etc etc. Full lineup for Leeds is here. Full lineup for Reading is here.
This is just a topic for anybody going (or who wanted to go but couldn't get a ticket) to discuss as each venue can cater for at least 70,000 people so I'm guessing there's at least some forum users who are attending.
As for myself, I'm going to Leeds with a couple of friends. It's my first time going to any festival so I'm really excited, even moreso because there is such a large amount of great bands playing that I've been wanting to see for quite a while! ^^

*I couldn't see any other topics about this and I'm assuming this is the right place to post it as it's about music. Correct me if I'm wrong though.*
