• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

am I the only one who wanted Dragon/Bug and for Zygarde to get Attack Order/Defend Order/Heal Order

gettit

'cause order

Don't take the in-game size so seriously. It's scaled anyways.

Dex says it's 16'08 and 672 pounds. So it's pretty big.

To be fair, height for serpentine Pokes in the Dex is generally their length.

well, interesting. zygarde is dragon/ground. xerneas (fairy) is immune to dragon and yveltal (dark/flying) is immune to ground. what does this imply?

I hadn't noticed that. Wow, that's just bullying.

Maybe it means it will get a new Forme?

Well to be fair, Zygarde's ability makes Xerneas and Yveltal's abilities turn essentially useless. Lowering the power of their main stabs? Owch.

Though I do expect Zygarde getting another form like Giratina and Kyurem. Didn't kyurem have that weird bit of code in b/w implying it had room for a form or two?

Xerneas probably learns ice beam though...like in that trailer...

I don't recall if the code specifically indicated that there were Formes ahead for Kyurem - or that we were able to accurately interpret them as such if it did - but it definitely indicated that there would be more to the beast than just what we saw in B/W.

Remember, though, that we can't see into the inner workings of X/Y in that same fashion (yet) and so if there are similar indications about Zygarde, we won't know of them.

So no pixie pokémon? Weak...

Remember that we can't see event Legendaries. Almost certainly National #720 and perhaps more, following Zygarde, is/are the Kalos equivalent, they're simply hidden from us at this stage. Just like they were always meant to be.

I find it difficult to believe that there are so few legendaries in the game. I can't really remember a Gen that had so few. But perhaps most are being reserved for Events or they hid quite a few in the game in a really well-done fashion.

It would be hilarious if one of the ways to come across a legendary was by moving a truck with the HM move Strength as a callback to those horrendous rumors way back in Gen I.

But you catch them earlier than Zygarde, no? So, it's useless in-game.

But people who use Xerneas in hopes of hitting it SE will have a hard time when that pokemon isn't as powered up as normal. Not entirely useless.

Oh yes, I forgot about that, right... It has a really narrow field where its ability has any effect in-game. (And that only if you battle with Xerneas against it...)

So, what are we thinking it's name means?
The only thing I can find is zygapophysis, which is some vertebrae or something, but I'm unsure. Any thoughts?

Zygarde's name? People having been throwing things like Zygote and Midgard, but I'm not really sure what the basis could really be. I guess the latter is to do with the Norse-stuff but I don't know if it ever was actually a thing.

Maybe Zygote and (also it is a little farfetched) Cicada? :)
Also, someone mentioned yesterday-> En garde (French) = On you guard (warning...)
