Legends Arceus shipped! But unfortunately I got told that the delivery method got changed as to not have it arrive early as per Nintendo's request

Knew they were clamping down on early shipments. Oh well wasn't gonna have time to play it tomorrow anyway so suppose it doesn't matter too much

Is that what’s happening now? Nintendo are stopping games arriving early? That’s a shame, one of my best memories is having time off school for an operation but heart gold arriving 2 days early so I was able to play my game before my op on the day of release

I've been hearing fans talk about wanting an open world Pokémon game for many years now, in fact since Ruby & Sapphire. While Legends isn't entirely open world, it's enough for fans to have their long-awaited dream come true.

Well of course it doesn't. The Switch must connect to the Nintendo eShop server, which runs on its own clock. It utilizes whatever time zone your IP address is linked to. Unless you're using a private VPN to change your time zone (which is legal in the US), you're gonna have to wait.

Well that’s made me jealous, although by the time it is 9pm in your time zone I will already be playing in mine. But I do wish there’s was somewhere near me doing either a midnight release or selling it tomorrow

I’m so excited! This will be my last newly released game I’m buying for a couple months as I bought so many the past three months alone. The new Kirby game will have to wait until April when I get a gift card for my birthday. Legends will be so much fun to explore and I think everything shown in the trailers looks great. I’m going to choose Rowlet for my female game and Cyndaquil for my male game. I do like Oshawott as well but I’m saving that for any third game should I decide to start one.

Speaking of, I think it's safe to say Legends will be the final game of Gen 8, and Gen 9 will kick off in 2023.

Pokémon has never released more than one main series game a year, and with Legends being a massive open exploration experience, I'm sure Game Freak is expecting players to be consumed for all of 2022.


I do hope this is the case. They need all the time they can get for Gen 9.

I've never played a game on the Switch that didn't lag. It's a worn out complaint at this point.

I don't think the graphics are that bad. Are they fantastic and define the current gen capabilities? No, but I think they work for Pokemon.
There may be some pointing out that they could technically be better, and I think that can be a fair criticism.

Then you have one person comparing Legends to games in late 90's/early 00's, and I'm not even sure if that's supposed to be a parody or not.

Most reviews said this game was anywhere from good to amazing with a couple "above average" reviews.
This game is pretty well received at the end.

Well you see a few trees are not hyper realistic enough. Honestly, I dunno either. From what I've seen the games look really pretty. It could be that it's because the art style looks like a painting and not everyone likes that which I can get I mean I wasn't a huge fan of Okami's art style at first. I just wish people wouldn't act like it looks horrible.

Personally I'm more worried/excited about finding my way through the areas. Even if I can only walk around in a certain section it's still a large section, I'll need to learn to depend on the pins for guidance.

Had an email to say my copy is shipping Thursday…..I’m desperately looking for somewhere which is open for a midnight release. My brother has his pass out parade on Friday so we gotta drive for 4-6 hours to see it so I won’t be able to get my copy from the post.

This is why I canceled my physical preorder & got the game digitally. I went through the same problem with Brilliant Diamond and I wanted to try avoiding worrying about whether or not I’d get it on release day this time
