You can do that or you can put them in a daycare and bike around Kanto but I't takes a bit longer because Fire Red Leaf Green has no mudslides x_x

Screw the E4. Go to 7 Island, and down to the house with the Chansey in it. You can fight the trainers outside and the chansey can heal you. I got my whole team and more to 100 this way. Good luck! ^^

Use the second wave of E4. If you have a lucky egg, then that is even better. Wild chansey have a 5% chance of holding one, and you can also get it in pokemon XD. You can also use the vs. seeker on certain trainers. I like the battle with the nidoroyals, and also the girl on 7 island with a chansey.

Second Wave Elite Four, or on Island Seven go to the Sevault Canyon and go to the Chansey Dance house and keep on fighting the Cool Trainers outside using the VS Seeker

just keep beating the elite four they give you soo much experience points and cheese

You can also battle wild pokemon as well, but I suggest the other ideas the others gave.

And yes I know, wild pokemon do not give you alot of exp. >.>
