Light ball. You can get it in any version with Pikachu (I think). In RSE, you get it by catching a pikachu in the Safari zone holding one. Bring a pokemon with compoundeyes to get it more often.

Actually, I'll correct you by saying that it was actually quite a rare item back in the days G/S/C, and it could only be obtained by trading the well-known Pikachu from Yellow into one of those games. It was deifinitely not on every wild Pikachu .

As far as I know, this works only in the Emerald version, not in Ruby or Sapphire.

you can get it in RS or else my game is glitchy. It's a 5% chance to get it as an held item on a pikachu(I think).

Magma Leader Maxie meant the method of getting Light Ball, I think (it's for Emerald only, because of the Sp.Abilities' usability in world map). But you're right, too.

In emerald:

Catch a electrike with static and a nincada with compoundeyes.
Put electrike first, nincada second and deposit all other poke
Goto safari where you catch pikachus
Catch the until you are out of balls.
Always your party in the first four. If you get a lightbal in your party, then stop. Not then go mad until outta balls.

RS:

Go and catch a whole bunch of pikachus. And this is a torture from hell.

Yes, of course, but the secondary ability effects (for example Lightningrod to get more calls) is something that happens only in Emerald like Finnmonster said.

In R/S/E, the chance of finding a Pikachu with Light Ball is outweighed by the chance of you going crazy while trying to find one with it. Use Emerald if you have it.

Light Balls are ONLY on Pikachu in R/S/E.
