I've heard about this,I'd like to get it so I can breed Pikachu and get a Pichu who knows Volt Tackle. But,my question is,how do you get the Light Ball?

Catch pikachu in safari zone and theres a 5% chance of it holding it it is very rare so i suggest use a pokemon with spark(increases rate of electric type pokemon) stock up on pikachus and check to see if there holding light balls

Yes,luckly I already have a Pikachu and a Raichu,I even have a Pichu.
I bred the Pikachu and the "Raichu" (it was Pikachu before and after breeding, then evolved with my Thunderstone)
When I had a Pichu I found out there was no Volt Tackle ability.
Then I found out you need a Light Ball....a waste I must say. -_-;;

1. Catch Pokemon with Static.
2. Put in front of party.
3. Go to Safari Zone.
4. Catch all the Pikachu you meet.
5. Check your boxes when time's up.

I had to catch about eight pikachus from the Safari Zone before I got the Light Ball. Now I have two Pichus with both having Volt Tackle. I named them Picho and Picha, the Pichu Twins. ^_^

8? It's talking me about 10.
I looked on serebii and I think it says you need a Ditto or something...

I think that's for if you can't get another pikachu or something. You have to give it and everstone so that you can get a pichu instead of a pikachu, but it won't get Volt Tackle that way.

Man,I've been using my catching technique. It works really well.Sometime on Sapphire I found Shiny Latias and threw a pokeball at it.I used my technique....and CAUGHT IT.
The tehnique is quite special, although it seems a bit weak on Emerald. It still works really awesome like though.
If you through a pokeball or whatever at the pokemon you want,as soon as the pokeball opens up to drive the Pokemon in,slam down on the B and Down arrow at the same time.Oddly,it raises chance for a catch higher.

E♥A, Are you sure that's not just coincidence? Seems like they wouldn't do something like that. Dunno. I can't get it to work.

On topic, if JAA comes to your neighborhood, the Pikachu that you can download there comes with a light ball.

whats JAA?
No it isn't.I just caught 29 Pikachus using this ability and caught all of them with no escapes.Pretty sure is isn't.Latias would've immidiately broke free.It didn't it never escaped and such.It stayed and I caught it.That was in Sapphire though.Sapphire and Ruby versions are the only real games that harness this real good.I've caught very many pokemon with this, and no escape. It may be just pure luck,or coincidence, maybe even a glitch. It does somehow work very well on my games...maybe it is a glitch or something.

I doubt it would here.Plus,if it did I wouldn't be able to go anyway.
I'll just try old school. All this helped me,I just caught shiny Pikachu male. ^^

Come along, dear
I don't mean to be some new guy being off-topic but here's some info:

catch Pikachu in the safari zone with a lite ball. (very low chacne). Breed any forms of Pikachu or one with a ditto, have any Pika with a Lite ball. The Baby will have Volt Tackle, the most broken attack in the game!
