I have been meaning to start a thread about this 4 a while now. Since there is a dark type there should be a light type. I got that from seeing Togetic. I was like, what, normal!? It looks like it could be a light type!

Sp what do u guys think?

I see Psychic type as an equivilent of a "Light" type. But that's just me I guess.

Well, light really ain't a good type cause it would be super effective agaisnt Dark, and Ghost what what could could beat Light

Strawberry.

Strawberry fields.
I could totally imagine there being a Light type. Blissey is godly, and it has wings, so why not categorize it as a Light type? Angel Bliss sounds like an awesome name for a "Light" attack.

I've been thinking they should do that since gold and sivler came out I suppose that Togetic Sunflora and Bellosom could all become light types and they ould make light and dark legendary sometime as rivals a bit like Groudon and Kyogore the type avantages and disadvantages could be

Attack Advantage
Dark
Ghost
Water(on the basis of evaporation)
Ice

Attack Disadvantage
Psychic
Grass
Bug(Dont know why)
Light

Defend Advantage
Light
Ghost
Ice
Psychic

Defend Disadvantage
Dark
Bug
Grass

Something like that but I dont know

IMO, a light type is not really a good idea. Just the regular types are good enough.

If there was a such thing as a light type, what pokemon would be that type? I think Togetic and Lugia.

There will NEVER be a Light Type. EVER!

Dark Type is called 'Evil' Type in Japan, thus Light would be called 'Good', which is improbable because technically all non-Dark types are good.

Plus Hidden Powers would be screwed up from past generation Pokemon. There was no problem from RGBY to GSC with 2 new types because Hidden Power didn't exist in Generation 1.

Learn your facts before you make bulls*** theads like this

The Light Type is a purley n00b Fantasy.

If we need a new type,we need one that's weak to grass, ice and poison, and is ineffective against each.
We dont need a light type, but could use a new one to help balance out the others which were left behind when dark and steel were introduced. Ice is weak to fighting, fire, steel and only resists ice.
We dont need a new type that touches, dark or ghost. Those are fine.

what I stated in the light type V2 thread.

Why are there two topics?

For a long time, I have believed (and still do) that "Light" should be a special condition with its own attacks, much like "Shadow". How it would come about, I have no idea. Just that like Shadow, it would exist only in one game, and the Pokémon with that condition would have to be de-powered before it could be traded.

That is the most plausible way we'd get light pokemon. I actually think it's a good idea.

THERE WILL NEVER BE A F***ING LIGHT TYPE!!! >:O

I've already stated the reasons.

Dark Type =/= The Element of Darkness

Ghost is more closer to Darkness then the Dark type ;P

No more types will be created. Steel and Dark were added to balance the game. PERIOD.

How many topics like this does there have to be... In Japan the Dark-type was known as the Evil-type so a Light-type wouldn't fit in.
