So we have a Dark Type...
An idea that´s been following me since the second gen introduced new types is that we should have a light Type.
Dark and light almost always go together. Yin and Yan...
And it could be a nice adition to the series given the fact that we could have more types combinations, attacks, legendaries, gyms, etc.
Besides we have a set of previous Pokemons that could fill in this new type like:
Togepi/Togetic/Togekiss
Pinpuku/Chansey/Blissey
Cleffa, Clefairy, Clefable
Igglybuff/Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff
Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir etc...

So what do you think? it´s another idiotic thread? or it´s a good idea coming from this ahole after all?

to be honest a "light" type sounds kinda like a weird type you would only see in pokemon hoaxes. And if we did have a "light" type a lot of pokemon would have light as their 2nd type ex. pikachu,sentret so on

edit:what i think is that every normal type pokemon is sorta like a "light" type

Yes...as a matter of fact it IS better, it would bring new life to the whole franchise...
I would understand why you would wanna remain the same for the next set of years but IMO it would be a nice adition, if you don t like the idea just move on...its all i´m saying gee

Psychics our pretty much light types, and are the foil to Dark types.

No need to bother adding a crappy new type. What's next, Sound Type?

Seriously, what's the point? Just because we have a dark type, doesn't mean we need a light type. We have a water type, but do we have a food type? Or an oxygen type? No.

Light types have been discussed ever since Gold/Silver introduced dark types. There's no point in introducing a light type, and one of the reasons dark types were introduced in the first place were to balance out the utter cheapness of psychic types in the RBY days. Such a balance isn't needed now.

I suggest we discuss a Drywall Type instead. At least that's something that hasn't been discussed a gazillion times before. (At least I think not... 0_o)

Yeah, there are enough, but a new one would bring new life, sure there´s no need for one, but there has to be? they could just add it just for the heck of it, seriously people stop taking Pokemon so seriously...gee

Gosh... Ok, just for the record I´m not stating there will be...I´m just putting out there the possibility.
And it wouldn t necessary broke the whole balance if they did it properly. It would actually make better the whole system adding new attacks, and new gyms, new legendaries but it´s just a thought don t rant about it

It's a stupid idea.

There is no reason to create a new type. There is no logic behind it.

The game is perfectly balanced as is, and doesn't need a Light type to possibly screw it up. Are you not satisfied with all the ones we have now?
