List of MKDS Quitters

I hate quitters.

and by the looks of things, so does everybody else on the Serebii forums.
It was indeed mentioned in a recent NOM that making a list of quitters is a good idea on your own. If we could all list the quitters we've experienced in one place, such as this thread, we could avoid those annoying quitters if we see them come up.

I understand that it's possible to change your name and emblem, but then again, who wants to change their name and emblem every time they start a new Wi-Fi race, because people could recognise them?
I doubt the quitters would be Serebii forum users anyway as most of the users here are noble enough to accept defeat, so quitters are unlikely to see their name on here.

that IS very annoying. I had a wi-fi race this afternoon...a guy from Asia disconnected right before I was going to cross the finish line on the last course. he had Japanese characters as his name, but his emblem was something like "I Love (japanese characters here)."

Right, I started a list of all the quitters I came against when I played the game the other day... Though I didnt note down the Emblems...

Seriously, everytime you start a game are you really going to log on to the forums just to look up names that might not even be there? There are 100's of quitters, and by the time you have looked through the list the race would have already started.

There's plenty of honest disconnections, how can you differentiate between them and intentional quitters?

I qualify someone as a quitter if they disconnect after the first race, or on the last part of the last lap of the first race. Also if you are miles ahead and they quit, They cant hack the fact that they are going to loose...
Also you can quick search the people that you come up across by pressing Ctrl+F, then typing in the name of your contender (though I see your point, it seems silly to check everyone that you come against). Though this list is here to name and shame quitters, but shame them especially and to deter them from re-commiting this atrocity. Also the list is to warn all you out there that we are doing something about this epedemic and that people will be caught...

I see your point, but I still find quitters so annoying that i feel naming and shaming is a nice bit of catharsis.
You must have felt that anger when your doing well and some idiot rips you off of and quits. People should work out that as quitting gives you instant losses, they might as well allow their adversary the victory.

2 Very important points here...
1.

I feel naming and shaming is a nice bit of catharsis.

Didnt think of that... And for all you that dont know what that means, It means Releasing your negative energy/stress/etc in a socially acceptable way... In this case shaming those people that have made you want to tear out your cartrage!!

2.

People should work out that as quitting gives you instant losses, they might as well allow their adversary the victory.

Cos if you are going to loose, and you get a loss from quitting anyway... Why quit??

Yes Mabie, But is Bloody annoying whan people quit on you and this is only doing what NOM said to do... Compose a List of all the quitters...

xD I raced you yesterday and it said you disconnected sometime after the first race.

That was because of the connection though.

Usually if they disconnect at the beginning of a race it means there are conenction problems.

I know this.
As i've hinted at before this is not a checklist, but a means of naming and shaming. It's a way of releasing your anger of an annoying quitter.

It's also in respect of the ideas of the late NOM crew.
