• Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.

However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

We always recommend using unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if possible. Make sure you are secure.

Phoopes

There it is.
This really isn't news. People break the rules all the time because they don't read them. What happens? The get infracted. Then they hopefully learn from that. There's nothing you can really do to force people to read the rules. It's their decision whether they read them, and then again their decision to follow them or not. For the most part, it shows who reads the rules and who doesn't by getting infractions or having a "clean record." However, there are people who read and follow the rules for the most part, and do slip up. I think that's most of the people here. Not everyone's perfect, but not everyone is ignorant of the rules either. Those who don't follow the rules are a minority, and are moderated. There's nothing absolutely terrible going on on the forums, and I think you're making a big deal out of something that's not really that huge. The staff definitely has it covered.
