Okay, excuse me everyone but I need some advice. I have this Relicanth;369; i'm trying to train to level 100 and I need someone to help me on this: Should I teach my Relicanth, Double-Edge? Here are the moves it has:

Ice Beam
Hyper Beam
Hydro Pump
Rock Slide

I'm thinking of replacing its Hyper Beam with Double-Edge, but i'm not so sure I should do that. It does have the Rock Head ability so if I teach it the move and it attacks with it, it won't recieve any recoil damage. Right now, it's at level 77 and i'm gonna use a heart scale to erase its Hyper Beam attack for it's Double-Edge attack (In that town with move tutor who wants heart scales to give a pokemon's move to them) for anyone who agrees that it should learn Double-Edge.

Double-Edge is a lot better choice tha Hyper Beam, which generally should be left alone. Go with D-E, since Relicanth has Rock Head.

Thanks mam, but i'm gonna need more than one person who says I should use Double-Edge. If more than 3 people agree that I should teach it Double-Edge, I will change my pokemon's Hyper Beam to Double-Edge. Thank you for the answer though.

ima gonna smile now!
i agree, go with the double edge, it's powerful and you won't get hurt by it, hyper beam, on the other hand, forces you to wait a turn. definetly go with double edge.

Hmm, maybe I will go with Double-Edge...Just one more person who agrees and Relicanth will be learning Double-Edge...Are you guys sure it should learn Double-Edge? Hyper Beam is stronger than Double-Edge even though you have to wait a turn once its used.

Hyper Beam can cause issues, I agree with the other two. Double-Edge anyday, Rockhead ability or no. Rockhead certainly helps, though..

If it was up to me, I'd say get rid of Hyper Beam. Extra power sometimes isn't the best way to go!

Okay then, you guys convinced me. I'll go ahead and teach Relicanth it's new move: Double-Edge.

Back I guess??
I know, you already put double edge, but look this:

DE base damage: 120
HB base damage: 150

1st turn: uses DE (120)
2nd turn: uses DE again (120+120=240)

1st turn: uses HB (150)
2nd turn: nothing (150)

so you´ll deal 1.6x more damage with DE.

Since you've already made up your mind I'm going to close this, but next time, as the Rules sticky says in the title, ALL threads relating to movesets on Pokemon belong in RMT.
