Looking for Translator for Pokemon Ranger Translation

Hi guys,

It seems I have attempted to translate and edit the Pokemon Ranger comic as stated in the earlier thread:

However, because of my amatuer level of self-studied Japanese, I find I am unable to continue with the project because of my inability to translate properly.

So I've decided to share the project with the forum and ask if anyone with a decent knowledge of Japanese would like to continue the project with me.

Basically as the Japanese translator, you'll be required to:
- Translate Japanese text into literal translation
- Re-edit the literal translations into an equivalent English translation appropriate for an English speaking audience.

What I'll be doing on the other hand will be the Graphic Design stuff which will be:
- Pasting the edited text into word bubbles
- Exporting the translated pages into graphics
- Encoding them into Flash for easy browsing.

There are loads of pages to translate: 96 so far (but we'll work in installments of 32 pages a chapter)

If you think you're up for the challenge, would like to sharpen your Japanese translation skills or if you think you know someone who is up for the challenge, let me know.

Remember! If you guys wanna see this comic in English, it'll only be possible if people take the trouble to work at it : )

In the PokeCommunity forums under the Pokemon Manga section I believe there have been people translating (past tense). You could try there, otherwise I don't know if they've just been getting it from here.

I'll go ahead and vounteer then. I have more than enough time, and it'll count as my summer homework, according to Shishou. When do you need the first part done, or am I under my own time constraints?

My Japanese is not good enough to translate a whole comic, mostly because my reading of kanji is terible, but I can to Hiragana and katakana, but who cant?

First off, Grimsg has already had the translation going on for a while, and no one has botherered her about it.

Besides that, you just replied last month semi-pledging your support, and now you're telling her it's not allowed? How does that make sense?

To top it off, Coronis was the one to put up the scans anyways... I don't get what you're getting at.

That is a real mystery, I'm confused as to the logic of the situation because Coronis has put up pages of the *webcomic* they're not even scans, they're found online at the official site.

Okashira and I are just doing the public a nice favor by having them in English that's all.

As I just posted under the Ranger comic sticky, these Ranger images don't fall under the category of scanlations because they are technically free material. I guess EE didn't know about this when he closed Grimsg's other thread.
