( lost? ) Pokémon 2001 Trailer

Has anyone heard about this trailer?

I found these old screencaps of a trailer for a Pokémon movie only know as ‘Movie 2001’ hidden within Serebii’s archives:

Cool. I'll try to see if some old movie sites still have Quicktime, AVI, or RealVideo copies of Pokémon trailers. Maybe one will have this trailer.

I'd never seen this before, but it's reminiscent of the first teaser trailer for the Mewtwo movie back in the 90s in the sense that it shows scenes that weren't in the final product. The CGI in these screen-shots looks rather horrible, though.

Weirdly, I'm kinda nostalgic for the old-CG look. If the animation was good, I'd like to see this. Usually tho, the folks who made Pokémon had kinda stiff CG-work in 1999-2000.

I did find an old trailer for Pokémon 4Ever, but I cannot get it to play. It's probably the English version anyways. I did some digging for a few hours to see if I could find anything on this. Apparently this was an early trailer for the fourth movie with a working title, and there was an existing video of it on YouTube at one point, but it's no longer available. (edit: if anyone's wondering, it was archived here, but the video doesn't work.)

I also found an old official Nintendo website with the URL "pokemon2001.com" on the Wayback Machine. All the images and links are broken, but I thought it was still worth noting since it might be relevant. It seems like "pokemon2001.jp" also existed at some point, but it's not archived. (source)

I'm kinda stumped, but I'll keep looking since a video of it is definitely still out there somewhere.

Just watched the Japanese trailer for Pokémon 4Ever, & noticed that there was a website for the movie. Here it is, archived: Pokemon2001.com (archive.org) Maybe the older, CGI trailer's on there, somewhere. That first capture doesn't appear to work beyond the first page; here's a list of all their captures of the site: Wayback Machine (archive.org)

I also emailed the person who submitted the pics to Serebii. Probably won't amount to anything, but it doesn't hurt to try.

EDIT: That email no longer works. I'll try searching Google to see if it shows up in any old websites. Maybe one of them will have alternate contact info.

EDIT2: Neither Google nor Bing could bring up any site listing that email address.
