LOTR...re-written to star...me!!!

BulbasaurB.k.

Rainbow Trainer
Ok everyone here is my LOTR story...finally. wel this isn't the first forum I've posted it on and I hope you will all enjoy it....

I was running through the woods as fast as my little elf feet would carry me. Something told me he was in danger. i had seen it in a dream, him, dead killed by orcs, it was up to me to stop him. I reached the top of a very large hill
and looked down i saw him...fighting with orcs and leaving his backside open, an orc was coming in fast with a orc sword. heading straight for him. I ran down the bank, stringing an arrow onto my bow as i went. He didn't even see me coming! The orc prepared to take a swipe at his head. "LOOK OUT!" I called firing my arrow. The arrow hit the orc dead in the chest, killing it instantly. He looked at me a startled look on his face. "You saved my life." He said. "Thank me later, help me kill orcs now." I said. We stood side by side, me shooting arrows from one side, him from the other. "My name is Elwyn by the way." I said.
"My name is..." He began. "...Legolas, i know." I finished his sentence. He gave me an odd look and continued shooting orcs. I smiled to myself. If only my sister could see me now.
when the orcs finally stopped coming he turned to leave and motioned me to follow. "We've got to go help Aragorn and Gimli." He said. Friends of his Perhaps? They sounded familiar.
We ran through the woods together, bows at the ready. He obviously knew where we were going, i sure didn't. Suddenly, an orc came up beside us he swung out with an axe breaking my bow. Uh-oh. He went after legolas next. i watched their battle unsure what to do. He dropped his bow as the head of the orc's axe flew off into the opposite direction. I couldn't help but laugh a little. Then the orc went at him with the handle of the axe. I leaped to his defense standing in front of him as the orc thrust the axe handle at him. He hit me instead. the handle hit me in the back of the head knocking me down. Blinding pain shot through my skull. Legolas grabbed an arrow out of my pack on my back and thrust it into the orcs gut. I lay there, i couldn't possibly move, the light was already fading. He kneeled beside me after picking up his bow.
"I'll get help." He said. "...Whistle..." I coughed. He had a confused look on his face, he didn't understand! Then all went black for me.

Legolas ran through the forest. he had to get help for the beautiful she-elf who had saved his life. He had to find Aragorn. "oh please don't let her die." he said to himself. he couldn't live with that guilt. He stood on a hill looking down at Aragorn. he began to call for him but saw he was leaning over the body of somebody. It was Boromir. Elwyn out of his mind for the moment, he said an elvish prayer for his friend. Aragorn walked up to him. He listned impatiently to Aragorn's tale of what happened.
"We have to go save merry and pippin they've been kidnapped by orcs." Aragorn said. "No, first we have to go help Elwyn." Legolas said.
"Who?" Aragorn said, confused. Legolas explained about the she-elf who had come out of no where and saved his life twice.
Against his better judgment aragorn allowed himself to be led away from his duties to help her. Legolas led him through the forest where gimli the dwarf caught up with them and he explained what happened once more.
when they arrived at the spot where i had been knocked unconsious Aragorn knelt beside my still unconsious body and felt my wrist for a pulse. "She's still alive, just knocked out, she needs medicine." Aragorn said. "Let us take her to Lothlorien." Legolas said. "How do you suppose we get there? We have no horses." Aragorn said slightly annoyed. Legolas remembered what i had said slightly before i passed out. "...whistle." He murmmered. Legolas let out a high-pitched whistle. A white horse with a beautiful silver mane stepped nervously out of the trees. she had a wild look about her. Aragorn walked up speaking softly in elvish to the horse. He layed his hand on her muzzle. she drew back her head and bit Aragorn. The horse saw me, laying there, and neighed loudly. she walked over and nuzzled me with her head trying to arouse me. The horse stopped and looked at Legolas as if trying to read him. she neighed loudly a few times at him. He didn't quite understand but got the general idea. He walked over swiftly and picked me up gently. He climbed on the back of the horse, setting my unconsious body in front of him. "I'll ride back to Lothlorien. i'll send horses for you." Legolas said riding off.
The next time i awoke i was in a strange un-familiar place. I didn't remember anything. well i remebered getting knocked out by an orc but before that i couldn't remember anything! Not even who i was. My head hurt. really bad.
"Are you awake?" a voice asked. a female voice, another she-elf. "I think so, i don't remember...anything..." I said. My voice was hoarse like i hadn't had anything to drink in a long time. "My name is Galadriel. Legolas brought you in a few hours ago." The other she-elf said. "Legolas...?"I wondered aloud. It sounded familiar. Suddenly a new voice entered the room. "Someone call...Elwyn you're awake!" An elf cried in delight. After explaining to him that i didn't remember, Galadriel sat down. "I think we would all rather like to know what happened exactly." She said.
After explaining to us both what happened, Legolas left and returned with a human and a dwarf. "This is Aragorn son of Arathorn and Gimli son of Gloin." He said introducing them to me. Aragorn looked at me with dislike. I could tell he didn't like me very much. Gimli surveyed me with interest. I nodded my head to each of them and realized my head no longer hurt. I listned as they recounted their tale for me starting in Rivendell...
The next day i was feeling better. My head didn't hurt at all but i still didn't remember anything. The fellowship was preparing to leave. i located Legolas who was packing some stuff up.
Aragorn was sitting nearby smoking a pipe. "Hello elwyn how are you..." Legolas began. "I want to go with you to find your friends." I intterupted. He looked taken back. He glanced at Aragorn who was mouthing 'no way' behind my back and waving his hands frantically. Legolas looked troubled, he wanted to let me go but didn't want to displease Aragorn.(Elvish translations can be found at bottom of page.) "Mani umea dos oren ita lle?"I asked quietly in elvish. He looked at me, thought for a moment and then sighed. "You can come." He said. "YAY!" I said happily, like a elf child.
I gave him a big hug. He looked startled and Aragorn looked disgusted. I skipped away happily to get my stuff. "why...never mind." Aragorn said to Legolas who shrugged his shoulders and continued to pack his bag.
We left later that day. I whistled twice and the horse from before came to me. "Is that your horse?" Aragorn asked. I thought for a moment trying to remember. "I think so...Frostrose...that's her name." I said petting her. Frostrose nickered happily and snorted at Aragorn. I laughed. "What's so funny?" Aragorn asked. "She dosen't like you." I said. "How is that funny?" He protested. i just laughed and climbed onto my horse. "That is kind of funny you know, she didn't bite me." Legolas said climbing on his horse.
"That was only because you are an elf and i was in trouble." I said to him. "Let's go find the hobbits and stop wasting time," Gimli said climbing on behind Legolas. We took off in the direction the orcs had gone before. "Pardon me for asking master dwarf, but why do you not ride your own horse?" I asked Gimli later that day. "I don't like horses and horses don't like me,lady Elwyn." He replied. He was the only one who called me that. I rode next to Legolas and Gimli's horse most of that day avoiding contact and conversation with Aragorn ,or perhaps he was avoiding me.
"Mani's nith yassen Aragorn?"I asked Legolas in elvish. "I uum'n now' ro donea lle Aa'ne nighala oryi inyamellon." He replied. "inyamellon?" I asked. "Arwen. Galadreiel's grandaughter. she lives in Rivendell with her father Elrond.."He said. Aragorn turned his horse and rode on the other side of legolas for a moment. "I ilue teni lle I neis now' lle nid a pandien Arwen a rua!"Aragorn said angrily then rode away. "Hmm." Legolas wondered aloud.
"You sure he dosen't just hate me because of me?" I asked returning to common speech. "I should probably appologize or something." Legolas said sighing. I shrugged my shoulders. Legolas rode up to talk with Aragorn leaving me by myself.

About noon the next day we heard riders coming. Afraid that they were spies of Sauron we hid in some rocks. we saw them ride past and Aragorn obviously knew who they were. Aragorn stood on this big rock and shouted, "Riders of Rohan, What news from the mark?" It confused me a bit. i'd only seen Rohan on Araforn's map and hadn't realized that is where we were. Anyway the riders circled back and surrounded us. Aragorn asked them about their hobbit friends and the orcs. The leader of the horse-people told him they had battled with the orcs and burned the bodies. So we rode off in the direction the smoke was coming from.
We arrived there and saw a pile of dead orcs burning. Legolas muttered something in elvish as Gimli poked through the pile with his axe. He pulled something out of the pile.
"It's one of their wee belts." Gimli said sadly. I stood there unsure what to do. Aragorn was looking at the ground. "A hobbit lay here...and the other..." He said touching the ground. We all looked at him. He went on saying something about their bonds being cut and them being followed. "Tracks lead away from the battle...and into Fangorn forest." Aragorn said stopping outside of a spooky looking forest. "Fangorn? What madness drove them in there?" Gimli wondered aloud.
"Del' noss autuva e' eller?" I asked Legolas in elvish. "Yes," Aragorn said, "We're going in there." I shivered slightly as we entered the forest. It was dark and i could barely see anything. i wimpered slightly as the trees spoke to each other. A hand grabbed mine gently and i almost screamed but the warmth told me it was Legolas. "This forest is old...very old." He said to no one in particular. He listened for a moment. "Aragorn, nanewendas." Legolas said, which means'somethings out there' in elvish. I listened to the trees speaking to each other. I listened closely to them and i understood what they were saying. "The white wizard approaches." I translated, confused. Legolas squeezed my hand. "Saurman."Legolas whispered.
They had told me about the wizard Saurman who had betrayed them and tried to have the halfling killed. The halfing Frodo who carried some ring of power that had to be destroyed. Aragorn raised his sword, Gimli his axe, Legolas and i strung our bows. "do not let him speak or he will put a spell on us." Aragorn said. A white light shone from behind us. we all four turned. Legolas and i shot our arrows and Gimli through something. The white light disentegratd everything that was thrown and caused Aragorn to drop his sword. "You are traking the footsteps of two young hobbits." The voice said, "They passed this way yesterday, and they met someone...they did not expect." The light dimmed and we could see the person who was speaking. "Who is it?" I whispered to Aragorn. "how can it be? You fell." He said ignoring me. "Yes, through fire ...and water, from the lowest dungeon to the highest peak i fought with the balrog."The person said. "Who is that?" I demanded quietly. "Gandalf." Aragorn said in awe. they had told me also about Gandalf Greyhame, friend of the valley elves and the halflings.
Gandalf told his story about the balrog as well as the story of Merry and Pippin. "I have sent them to stay with treebeard, the ent." Gandalf said. "A tree-herder!" I said excitedly. I actually remembered something from when i was a kid. They all looked at me.
"Who is this?" Gandalf asked. So I had to listen to that story for the billionth time in the past two days. When they finished telling the story Gandalf led us out of the forest. It was still light outside and immensly bright. Legolas released my hand after Aragorn glared at him warningly. Gandalf whislted really loudly and a large solid white male horse came running. "This is Shadowfax, lord of all horses. He has been my friend for many years." Gandalf said. Our horses had gone into the forest followin Frostrose who seemed to know her way everywhere. After realizing this i whistled for her and she came running followed by the other two horses. "That white horse..." Gandalf began but stopped. "Frostrose."I said. Gandalf walked over to her to pet her. I tried to warn him but Frostrose bit him. I snickered quietly. "Sorry...She's...a bit...wild." I said.
"She dosen't like me either." Aragorn said lifting up the hand where Frostrose had bit him a few days ago. I laughed some more as we all climbed onto our horses and rode away.

Del' noss autuva e' eller?-Are we going in there?

As we rode along Gandalf explained there was war in Rohan and we were riding to Edoras to warn them. "Who is king of Rohan?" I asked.
"Theoden." Legolas said. "Why are they making war in Rohan?" I asked. "Sauron and Saruman are trying to get rid of the last free kingdoms of men;Rohan and eventully Gondor." Gandalf said.
"who's king of Gondor?" I asked. Aragorn gave me a cold, evil look and rode ahead. "There is no king of Gondor...yet." Gandalf said. I gave Legolas a 'did i miss something here?' look. "Aragorn ten' kolind naa'en i haranas a Gondor. Aragorn onine ampen mernien a' na harana. Manka ilya auta cre ro nauva na harana a Gondor." Legolas said in elvish. I thought about that for a moment. I heard Aragorn and Gandalf talking about me further ahead. "What do you think of the she-elf?" I heard Aragorn ask Gandalf. "Elwyn? She's alright, not a spy of Sauron if you're wondering." Gandalf said,"Why?". Aragorn sighed. "I don't like her." He stated. "Why not?" Gandalf asked. Everyone was silent for a moment. "She reminds me of Arwen." Aragorn said finally. I nearly choked on my own oxygen. Me? Remind him of Arwen? I didn't know wether to be flattered or sick. "Hmm, Interesting. Legolas seems to like her though dosen't he?" Gandalf said. Aragorn made a weird noise. "That displeases you, why?" Gandalf asked. I never heard his reply because at that moment Legolas shouted, "There is Edoras!" very loudly. I don't think he wanted me to hear Aragorn's answer. Maybe i didn't want to hear either.
We rode our horses through the gloomy streets of Edoras. "You'll find more cheer in a graveyard." Gimli said. We reached the castle and climbed the stone staircase. There were soldiers waiting at the top. "I cannot allow you before Theoden King so armed Gandalf Greyhame...By order of Grima Wormtounge." One of the soldiers said. Gandalf nodded and we handed over all of our weapons. "Your staff." The man said. "Oh, you wouldn't seprive an old man of his walking stick now would you?" Gandalf said. They let us through. Aragorn smiled slightly at Gandalf. It was dark and gloomy inside. In the throne there was an old man who looked very troubled and tired. a greasy black haired man stood beside him whispering to him. The black haired man, Grima, exchanged some unpleasent words with Gandalf then Gandalf threatened him with his staff. "I told you to take the wizards staff!" Grima called to the soldiers angrily. They moved in to take the staff but the rest of us battled them. we punched and kicked and clawed and bit until each of us had at least one pined down. Gimli had gotten Grima who had tried to escape.

Aragorn ten' kolind naa'en i haranas a Gondor. Aragorn onine ampen mernien a' na harana. Manka ilya auta cre ro nauva na harana a Gondor.-Aragorn's forebearers were the kings of Gondor. Aragorn gave up wanting to be king. If all goes well he will be king of Gondor.

Gandalf approached Theoden King. "Too long have you sat in the shadows my friend. I release you from the spell." Gandalf said. It seemed to work but then Theoden began laughing. "Your spells have no power here Gandalf the Grey." Theoden said. "Silence!" Gandalf said throwing back his cloak and filling the room with the white light. He raised his staff and Theoden said something elde but i wasn't paying attention. A girl, human not elf, had appeared and Aragorn was holding her back from Theoden. Then it seemed Theoden was no longer possessed by Saruman. Theodens body went limp and began to fall fowards. Aragorn released the girl who ran fowards to him. she prevented Theoden from falling. Then his hair got shorter and turned a blonde color. "Breathe the free air again my friend." Gandalf said to Theoden. I smiled at Legolas who smiled back. Another life saved from the powers of Saruman. suddenly i looked up and noticed Theoden was no longer seated. He had his sword and was now going after Grima. We released the soldiers we had pinned down after saying sorry for beating you up when you attacked us and then went after them.
Theoden was standing over Grima with his sword raised high. Aragorn leaped fowards grabbing his arm. "No, my lord! No my lord. enough blood has been spilt on his account." Aragorn said. "Grima wormtounge.. I banish you forthwith from the kingdom of rohan." Theoden said. The girl from before, i soon learned, was named Eowyn. she was the neice of Theoden.
We got to know each other while Theoden went out to visit the tomb of his recently deseaced son. eowyn told me how her brother had been banished from the kingdom of Rohan and now all the family she had left was her uncle. She told me how she wished to go away to war when all the others went but how her uncle wouldn't let her. Then she asked me a question that made me laugh. "Do you think that lord Aragorn is cute?" She asked me. I laughed a little. "No, he hates my guts for a strange reason, besides he has a girlfriend." I replied. "Oh." Eowyn said sadly. "Why? Do you like him?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders. "you might have a chance. His girlfriend is an elf but Legolas told me she was sailing to the undying lands." I said. She looked a bit more hopeful.
At supper that afternoon we were joined by two children who had come from a village that had been attacked. Gandalf said something to Theoden. "I know what you are asking Gandalf, but i will not bring further death to my people. I will not risk open war." Theoden said. "Open war is here; whether you would risk it or not." Aragorn said. Theoden turned to glare at Aragorn. "When last i checked, Theoden, not Aragorn was king of Rohan." Theoden said coldly. I laughed to myself. Legolas glared at me softly as if saying 'don't make fun of Aragorn, he can't help it.'
"So what is the kings decision?" Gandalf asked. "We will flee to Helm's deep." Theoden said. Gandalf walked away and we followed him.
"Helm's Deep." Snorted Gandalf, "They turn and run when they should stand and fight!"
We entered the stables and Gandalf climbed on Shadowfax. He said something to Aragorn then rode away almost trampling poor Gimli. I looked around. "So we are staying here?" I asked. "We're going with the rest of Edoras to Helm's deep." Aragorn said. "That's what i meant." i said quickly.
So we left for Helm's Deep shortly afterwards. I rode beside Legolas. Gimli, for some odd reason, had his own horse and was riding beside Eowyn, who was talking and laughing with him but kept looking back at Aragorn. "So what exactly is helms deep?" I asked Legolas. "It's this big fort that's outer walls are made of stone." He replied. "So we're going to hise in Helm's Deep and they are assuming that war won't just follow us there?" I asked. "That's why we're here. In case war follows us." Legolas said. I had been looking absent-mindedly at the mountain and realized something was up there. It disapeared quickly. "did you see that?" I asked. "What something is up there." I said stringing my bow. The thing reappeared and i shot it. It fell down to us. Legolas went over to it. "A scout." He said. Then arrows flew over the side of the cliff. "It's an ambush!" I cried out. "Riders to the front." Theoden said, "People continue to Helm's deep."
Legolas looked at me. "Please continue to Helm's Deep." He said looking worried about me. "No way!" I said then saw his worried expression, "I'll be fine." I strung my bow once more and Legolas and I charged into the battle. We were shooting of arrows in every which way. After about ten minutes I saw Aragorn battling with a particulary nasty orc. I ran to help him. I shot an arrow at it but missed. I'd reached the end of the cliff. I shot another arrow at it. It charged at Aragorn and knocked him off the cliff. I reached out to grab him but only succeeded in getting myself pulled over. As Aragorn fell into the water below i grabbed onto a hand-hold in the side of the cliff. I looked around i couldn't climb up. I guess i'd just have to wait until the battle was over.
When the battle was finally over it was all quiet. I thought perhaps i had been forgotten, Then i heard Legolas's voice way above me. Sounded like he was talking to an injured orc. "Where are Elwyn and Aragorn?" He demanded. "They're...dead." The orc said. "You lie!" Legolas said. "They took a little tumble off of the cliff." Orc replied laughing. I heard Legolas gasp and sob. "It's alright Legolas." gimli's voice said comfortingly. "This is all my fault. I let her stay and battle." Legolas said. "Hey! I'm down here! Hello! Someone gonna get me off this cliff?" I called. Nobody answered me. I cursed softly in elvish. Then, i heard a voice above me and felt a rope hit me in the head. It was Gimli! I grabbed the rope and he pulled me up. "Where is Legolas?" I asked immeadetly. Gimli pointed to Legolas who didn't seem to realize i was alive. He was crying softly with his back turned to me. I ran over to him. "Whatcha cryin' for?" I asked. "Because you're dead." He said. He paused for a moment and obviously realized how odd that sounded. "And how often do you talk to the dead?" I asked suspressing giggles. He turned around and saw me. Then, He hugged me to him and kissed my forehead. Then he kissed me for real. Gimli wolf-whistled and we broke apart blushing. "Alright lovebirds, lets continue to Helm's Deep." Gimli said. "What happened to Aragorn?" Legolas asked quietly. "I tried to save him...i really did...but...he..." I said, my voice breaking.
Legolas made hushing noisies and told me it was okay, i had tried and failed but that it was okay...
When we reached Helm's deep all the people who weren't soldiers were already there. Eowyn approached Legolas and I. "Where is lord Aragorn?" Eowyn asked me. "He fell." Legolas said quietly. Eowyn cried silently on my shoulder startling me. Legolas gave me a 'what is that?' look. i shooed him away. "I'll explain later." I whispered to him. I comforted Eowyn until she stopped crying then went to find Legolas. He was with the king and some other soldier people. "Set a watch, get the women and children into the caves." Theoden was ordering to his people. Legolas looked at me funny. "Don't even ask me to go into the caves! I will not!" I said harshly. "wouldn't dream of it." He said. He looked me over. "You have a cut on your arm." Legolas said worried. I looked at my left arm and noticed for the first time the bleeding cut. "Huh, would you look at that." I said examining it. He rolled his eyes then lead me away to a healer.
By the time i returned from the healer with my arm bandaged there was a crowd in the main hall. I spotted Gimli trying to get through. i ran up to him. "What's going on?" I asked. "Aragorn, He's not dead." Gimli said.
Aragorn spotted me and walked over. "You aren't dead." I said. "No such luck," He replied jokingly. Then his tone got serious. "You tried to save me from falling off the cliff." He said. "And you responded by pulling me over and almost killing me." I said. "Why did you save me?" He asked. "You are Legolas's friend, what else would i do? Besides i'm a nice person." I said smugly. "Your arm." He said. "It's nothing." I said. Then he walked away. I found Eowyn and began to tell her but she saw him approach Legolas first. I held her back. Legolas said something and Aragorn replied, then Legolas gave him something and Aragorn left. I allowed Eowyn to go after him.
"What was that?" I asked Legolas. "The evenstar. it's an elvish necklace Arwen gave Aragorn so that their lives would be shared." Legolas replied. "That dosen't make too much sense. oh well." I said sighing. Legolas went after Aragorn and i followed Legolas. Aragorn had found the king. We listened as he said something about seeing an army of Isengard with 10,000 soldiers at the least. We followed them listening to their conversation. "Send out riders my lord, you must call for aid." Aragorn was saying. "And who will answer? Elves? Dwarves? We are not so lucky in our friends as you Lord Aragorn." Theoden said. I flinched at the bitterness in his voice. "Gondor will answer." Aragorn said surely. "Gondor?! Where was Gondor when the westfold fell? Where was Gondor when..? No, my Lord Aragorn, we are alone." Theoden said.
Later before nightfall, we saw their 'army' preparing for war. "Farmers...stableboys...these are no soldiers." Aragorn said. "Most have seen too many winters." Gimli said. "...Or too few." Legolas added. I nodded in agreement.
"Look at them...they're frightened, you can see it in their eyes." Legolas said. everyone stopped talking to look at him.
"Dae' aen naivae na neld ecar ne dan' vimindae?!" Legolas said to Aragorn in elvish. "Aen cael ner estel sinome taga aen caele ie' Edoras."Aragorn replied. "Aen iluenid yul Aragorn! Aen del' ilye atuvua a' fianwa!" Legolas said Angrily. "Then i shall die as one of them!" Aragorn said. Legolas stomped away. I looked at Aragorn, then at Legolas' retreating back, shrugged my shoulders and skipped after him. I followed him to a deserted hallway. "Legolas." i whispered softly. He sighed and sat with his back against the wall. I put my arm around him and tried to comfort him. "We cannot win this war, Elwyn." Legolas said. "There is still hope." i said. "It would take a miracle." He said. "A miracle is coming. I have foreseen it, just have hope. Trust your heart." I said rising and leaving.
Legolas went and apologized to Aragorn who was preparing for battle. "There is nothing to forgive my friend." Aragorn said. I nodded to Legolas and winked at him. A horn sounded in the distance. "That's no orc horn." I said grinning. "Is that your miracle?" Legolas asked. Aragorn looked confused. "Miracles don't blow horns." Aragorn said. I motioned for them to follow me. We left the room and went outside where there was an army waiting. "Valley elves and forest elves." I said. "How did you..." Aragorn began. "Not me, Galadriel and the other one...what was his name?" I asked trying to remember. "Elrond." Aragorn said. "Yes, Galadriel and Elrond sent them. The time of the elves is over but that dosen't mean we leave middle Earth to it's fate." I said grinning happily.

The elf who was leading them spoke to Aragorn about something. "Who is that?" I asked Legolas.
"Aragorn's friend, Haldir, from Lothlorien." He replied. Legolas and i stood in line with our fellow elves. Aragorn lead us to the wall around Helm's deep where we stood atop it waiting for the army of Isengard to come. I stood beside Legolas and Gimli and Aragorn. We saw them march in, Orcs and Uruk-hai, as far as i could see. "Expect no mercy, because you will recieve none." Aragorn said to the elves. "What ever luck you live by, laddie, lets hope it lasts the night." Gimli said to aragorn. "Your friends are with you Aragorn." Legolas said. "Let's hope they last the night." Gimli added. The orcs began pounding the ground with their spears. "I still don't think we can win this, Elwyn, even with your miracle." Legolas said. "We will win Legolas, I hope." I said quietly. "If we don't win this i want you to know something...I love you..." Legolas said. I looked at him, i had suspected that was coming. "I know Legolas, I know." I said. We raised our bows and took aim. "I can't see anything." Gimli said, struggling to see of the wall. He accidently hit the edge of my bow causing my arrow to fly off. "HOLD!" Aragorn shouted. My arrow hit an Uruk-hai dead in the chest. "So it begins." Legolas said. I restrung my bow and when Aragorn ordered us to, shot my arrow. It went on like that for sometime until a loud explosion told me they had blown away part of the outer wall, thankfully not the part we were on. We continued shooting.
After a while everyone started shouting, "Fall back to the keep." I looked around to let Aragorn know but i didn't see him. I looked for him, but saw his friend Haldir instead. I saw Uruk-hai with arrows. I shouted a warning but he didn't hear me. I watched as the arrows peirced his body. Then as Aragorn went to him. Legolas showed up behind me and pulled me inside. Pretty soon, Legolas, Gimli, Aragorn, Theoden, and i were inside. "Find a way to get the women and children out of the caves." Aragorn was saying to a soldier.
"There is no way to win this, Elwyn, i knew it." Legolas said quietly and angrily. He stomped around for a minute then kicked over a small table. Nobody seemed to notice. "The sun is rising." Gimli said. "We will ride out together, one last time!" Theoden said loudly.
"Trust your heart." I whispered to Legolas.
We charged the Uruk-hai and orcs on horses. Shooting arrows and slashing swords we all went. It seemed there was no way to win. Then by chance or fate i looked to the East and saw Gandalf riding towards us with thousands of people, who i later learned where the Rohirrim, those who were banished from Rohan when Saruman had taken over the king. "It seems there is still hope after all Elwyn." Legolas said. I nodded in agreement.
After many hours of fighting we finally won. The army of Isengard retreated to, well, Isengard. "The battle for Helm's Deep is over." Gandalf said, "The battle for Middle Earth is about to begin."...
As we rode along on our horses in the woods towards Isengard we talked about the battle we had just fought. "I almost beat Legolas, he only won by two orcs!" Gimli was saying. "Why are we going to Isengard?" I asked no one in particular. "The ents had a battle with Isengard this morning and we need to retrieve Merry and Pippin." Gandalf said. "What about Saruman?" Aragorn asked. "According to the message from Treebeard, he has locked himself in his tower." Gandalf said. "So we are going to see the ents?" I asked happily. "Yes, why?" Gandalf replied. "I like ents. They've always fasinated me." I said. "How can you remember ents if you cannot remember your past?" Aragorn asked. "I...do not know." I said. Suddenly i heard laughter and voices. "Do you hear that?" I asked. Legolas listened closely. "I hear it!" He said triumphantly. The rest listened closely but couldn't hear it. Legolas and i trotted ahead. They hurried to follow us. We followed the sounds of the voices. "Welcome, my lords, to Isengard!" Said a very small person. He startled me, i had not seen him there before. There was another one there.
"Del' sern periannath?" I asked Legolas in elvish. He nodded his head. They were smoking something and it seemed as if they had been drinking. "Oh well that's nice. We track you for days and now we find you here, feasting and, and...smoking!" Gimli said to the hobbits. They laughed a bit and then talked some more about Treebeard being in charge of Isengard or something, then they lead us in to Isengard...

Del' sern periannath?-Are those hobbits?

Isengard certainly looked like it had been in a battle. there was water and giant boulders everywhere. There were ents marching around cleaning up. One large ent approached us. "Hello, Gandalf, my old friend. I can undo rock and stone but there is a wizard to manage here. Locked himself in his tower." The ent said. "That's Treebeard." Pippin whispered to me. We had already been introduced and i now knew the younger hobbit was Pippin and the older was Merry. I nodded to show i understood. We approached a large tower, Saruman's tower i figured. Water surronded the tower and i took me a minute to convince my horse nothing was going to get her. Gandalf and Saruman had a shouting match and then Grima appeared and Theoden spoke with him, than Saruman said something to Grima, then Grima attacked Saruman. Anyway, the way that ended was Saruman falling onto some large spike sticking up out of the water. "The filth of Saruman...is washing away." Treebeard said.
Pippin jumped into the water. "Pippin!" Aragorn called. Pippin waded in the water then reached down and picked something up. "Give that to me Peregrin Took." Gandalf said to Pippin. Pippin handed it over and Gandalf wrapped it in his cloak. "A palantir is a dangerous thing." Gandalf mutttered. "Where are we going now?" Merry asked. "Back to Edoras to celebrate our victory." Theoden King said. "Works for me." Merry replied.
That night in Edoras, we celebrated indeed. There were many soldiers there and my friend Eowyn as well. I watched Gimli and Legolas as they had a drinking contest. Somehow i hadn't pictured Legolas as the drinking type but even your friends may suprise you. After a few drinks Legolas was drinking them like water in a dessert. After Gimli passed out i watched Merry and Pippin, who had climbed on a table, do a funny little dance and sing about a bar.
I figured they were definintly drunk. I had only had a few glasses of elf-wine but i was feeling a little dizzy. Legolas found me and pulled me out of the room. I think he was probably drunk as well. He led me into a deserted corridor and kissed me. Then his kiss became more demanding and...(I'm going to save you the details of that part of the night and skip to later that night.)

I was standing on a balcony with Legolas looking at the stars, everyone else was asleep and we were speaking in whispered tones. Aragorn came outside. It startled me as i had thought him asleep as well. "Something isn't right. The atmosphere of Middle Earth is...not right." Aragorn murmmered. I continued to look at the horizon. I felt Aragorn looking at me. Suddenly there was a scream from inside. We all ran inside to see Pippin struggling on the floor with the Palantir. Then Aragorn rushed in and grabbed the Palantir from him. He struggled with it for a minute then let it fall to the floor where Gandalf threw his cloak over it. "Fool of a Took!" Gandalf said angrily. Then seeing Pippin had not moved went over to him and said some spell to wake him. He spoke for a moment. "What did you tell him about Frodo and the ring?" Gandalf asked. Frodo, the little hobbit who had offered to take the ring to Mordor, as they had informed me long ago. "Speak!" Demanded Gandalf as Pippin had not yet answered him.
-The next morning-
It was the next morning and Gandalf was telling Theoden King about the events of last night. "There was no lie in Pippin's eye. A fool, but an honest fool he remains. He told Sauron nothing of Frodo and the ring." Gandalf said. "We were however fortunate. Pippin saw in the palantir, a glimpse of the enemy's plan. Sauron plans to strike the city of Minas Tirith." Gandalf added. Aragorn's expression changed to an unreadable stare. Gandalf turned to Aragorn. "Sauron will die before he sees a king return to the throne of Gondor." Gandalf said. "Let me go. They must be warned." Aragorn said. "And they will be, but not by you. You must go to Minas Tirith by a different road." Gandalf whispered to Aragorn.
Gandalf turned again to look at Pippin. "I will ride to Minas Tirith, but i will not be going alone." Gandalf said. Gandalf and Pippin, followed by Merry, left the castle. "So what exactly is Minas Tirith?" I asked Legolas. "It is a city in Gondor. There is a big white tower where the king sits at throne." Legolas replied. "And a white tree...in a courtyard of stone, that will not bloom until a king returns to the throne of Gondor." Aragorn added. He suprised me, i thought this would be one of his 'I'm not going to talk so don't even ask.' kind of things. "Hmm." I said aloud.
Over the next few days things were rather boring. I talked with Eowyn mostly and she told me about how she was planing on fighting next time they go to war. Eowyn talked to Merry alot now that Pippin was gone. On the second day of Gandalf's parting i foresaw something i wasn't so sure i wanted to share with anyone. It was confusing for me so i decided to go and find Eowyn. It was late in the afternoon and the sun was setting. Looking around i saw Eowyn and Merry sitting on the steps, talking. I walked up to them. "Hello, Lady Elwyn." Merry said. "Hello, young master Merry. Eowyn i need to speak with you." I said urgently. "Alright, Merry perhaps you should go, i believe it is almost dinner time." Eowyn said. After Merry scampered off i turned to Eowyn. "Is there somewhere we can talk where the chances of being overheard are less likely?" I whispered. Eowyn nodded and led me around behind the castle, where there was an orchard. "What is troubling you my friend?" Eowyn asked me. "This morning, i foresaw something, and i...i..." I said hesitantly. "You, what Elwyn? You can tell me." Eowyn said soothingly. "...I am with child." I whispered fearfully. Eowyn looked at me and smiled then told me it was a good thing. "Who's child is it?" Eowyn asked giggling. I blushed and gave her a sneaky smile. "Legolas's child?" She asked. I nodded. She squealed with delight. "There was a part in my dream i didn't understand though." I said. She looked at me eagerly. "Well i was...a queen." I said confused. "Makes sense." Eowyn said slowly. "Does it?" I asked. "You do know Legolas is prince of the woodland realm?" She asked. "No i didn't know that." I said softly. What kind of mess had i gotten myself into? Falling in love with a prince. "Of course he does keep it quiet. I doubt even the hobbits know." Eowyn said. "How is it that you know?" I asked. "My uncle is a king. I know these things." She said. I nodded my head. "Have you told Legolas yet?" She asked. "I'm waiting for the right moment. Like when this war is over." I said. "Yes, then he won't stop you from going to war." Eowyn said.
The next morning, i was sitting atop one of the gaurd towers staring out at the mountains, when i heard Aragorn come up behind me. I felt him staring at me. "What is it that you want?" I asked. "Nothing." He said. I was still staring at the mountains and now a small bright dot had appeared. "What is that?" I asked Aragorn pointing to the mountains. "The beacon." he said suddenly. I watched as he ran like a girl, towards the dinning hall where everyone was. I followed quickly. "The beacons are lit! They're lit, Gondor calls for aid." He said reaching the dining hall. Everyone looked at Theoden King waiting for his answer.
"And Rohan will answer." Theoden said. He turned to Eomer who was standing beside Eowyn. "Assemble the Rohirrim," He called, giving orders to others as well. I noticed Aragorn smiling to himself. "We ride to Gondor in a few hours." Theoden said to Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and I. Aragorn nodded to show he understood and we went to prepare our horses.
As we readied our horses i noticed Eowyn packing her horse close to Aragorn. "Will you ride out with us then?" He asked. "It is tradition in this land for Women to ride out with the men to bid farewell." Eowyn replied. I noticed a sword hilt under her saddle bags. "Is that why you have your sword hidden under those bags?" I whispered to her, where Aragorn couldn't hear. "You shouldn't be going in your condition either." She whispered back. I looked around fearfully in case someone had heard, but it seemed no one had. We giggled softly. Then Theoden came and said it was time to leave and head for the battle camp.

We arrived at the battle camp early the next morning. Theoden was riding on his horse looking all kinglike and talking to a soldier. I looked around at the soldiers. There were many of them but not as many as the enemy had according to Aragorn. I got off of my horse and allowed Frostrose to wander. "uum' nak ai quenat." I told her in elvish. She nickered and pranced off. I heard Aragorn laughing behind me so i turned around. "Telling that horse not to bite anyone is like telling a fire not to burn." Aragorn said. I smiled at him then went to find Legolas. He was walking around with Gimli looking at things. "The horses are restless." I said noticing a gaggle of horses stamping their feet nervously. Eomer turned and looked at us. "Everything grows nervous in the shadow of the mountain." Eomer said. "What's down that path there?" Gimli asked pointing to a path between the mountains. I didn't hear his reply because i had just spotted Eowyn. I walked over to her. "I've got a seceret too." whispered Eowyn. "What are you pregnant with Aragorn's child?" I asked jokingly. "I wish." She muttered. "What seceret then?" I asked. "I'm going to ride to battle, i'm going in disguise dressed like a man." Eowyn said quietly. "Good for you Eowyn." I said. We giggled and then Eomer called her and I returned to Legolas.
That night, Theoden told Legolas and I that we had look-out duty, since elves don't have to sleep and our eyes are better than anyone else. We accepted our duty without arguing. We walked to the edge of the battle camp together. He scanned the horizon. I decided i'd see better from up a tree so i climbed up. I sat on a very sturdy limb and looked out. After a few minutes of looking i saw a rider on the horizon. He or she had a black cloak on and was riding a black horse. "Legolas, A rider in black." I hissed stringing and arrow and pointing it. He aimed his arrow at the rider. When the rider got to us it stopped. "Legolas." He said. Legolas put down his arrow and motioned for me to do the same. The riders eyes flicked up towards me then back down. "My Lord Elrond, what brings you here?" Legolas asked. I searched my memory, Elrond of Rivendell, father of Arwen, sender of the elves that helped us win the last battle. I jumped out of the tree. "Who is your friend Legolas." Elrond asked. So we had to tell that part of the story to Elrond which, frankly, is getting a little boring. "But surely you didn't come here just for that?" Legolas asked after telling the story. "No indeed though it is highly enjoyable, where is Theoden King's tent?" Elrond asked. I pointed it out. "I must also speak with Aragorn." He muttered to himself. Then rode off. I decided to follow him. "Get back here." Legolas hissed. "You can handle lookout duty by yourself for five minutes." I said sprinting after Elrond. I heard Legolas sigh.
It was lucky for me Elrond wasn't looking to see if anyone was following him. He entered Theoden's tent and they spoke for a minute about battle and junk then Theoden sent a soldier to arouse Aragorn. I hid when Aragorn came so he wouldn't see me. I climbed a tree behind the tent and made myself as small as possible and listened. "I take my leave." I heard Theoden say when Aragorn entered. He left and there was a brief silence in which Elrond removed his cloak. "Lord Elrond." Aragorn said bowing. "Arwen is dying." Elrond said. I almost fell out of the tree. "The light of the Evenstar is failing. Arwens life is now tied to the fate of the ring." Elrond said. I noticed I wasn't the only one eavesdropping, Eowyn was sneaking around below my tree. I threw an acorn at her and she looked up. I motioned her up and she came and sat on the branch below me. I told her what they had been saying and she looked a little less gloomy when i got to the part about Aragorn's girlfriend dying. Then we stopped talking to listen. Elrond talked about Aragorn having to go get some ghosts or something. "They will not help us. They answer to no one." Aragorn said biterly. "They will answer to the king of Gondor." Elrond said, there was a sound of a sword unsheathing. When Aragorn finally agreed i scampered off to tell Legolas and Eowyn went to hang around Aragorn's horse in hope that he would show up. After telling Legolas I went to tell Gimli whilst Legolas got their horse. I noticed Aragorn talking with Eowyn and listened. "...It is but a shadow and thought that you love. I cannot give you what you seek." Aragorn was saying to Eowyn. I watched as Eowyn ran off. I hesataited and then went after her after telling Gimli to tell them not to wait for me.
I found Eowyn in her tent, laying on the bed sobbing. I patted her back and comforted her. After a minute or two she said she would be okay and i should hurry or they would leave me. "Are you sure you'll be okay?" I asked. "Yes, In fact i think i'm going to go and talk with Merry." She said. I nodded and left.
I whistled for Frostrose and went in the direction Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli had left in. I caught up with them quickly. "Took you long enough." Gimli said. Legolas looked at me in silent question. "Eowyn...caele da elle n' breumur." I said in elvish glancing meaningly at Aragorn. Legolas nodded to show he understood. Aragorn smiled to himself. I picked an acorn out of my bag and threw it at him, hitting him in the head. "I can't believe
You did that to her!" I said. Aragorn looked at me, his expression unreadable. "Eowyn melea lle." I said softly in elvish. He rolled his eyes and didn't answer me. I decided to make him angry. "A nowe Arwen nea entyea' aut a' iuu fianwien dor." I said to Legolas, softly but loud enough for Aragorn to hear. Legolas shrugged his shoulders. "This is between you and Aragorn and I'm going to stay out of it." Legolas said.

rest of story....

We were headed down the long path that Eomer had warned us about and Legolas was talking about how the dead betrayed Isildur so he cursed them. In fact it was the most i'd ever heard him say. I was still throwing acorns at Aragorn every time his back was turned. I was getting bored so i stopped throwing acorns.
When we reached the door of the dead Legolas read the words on the door. There was a cold gust of wind and their horses ran off. Frostrose stayed in place but stamped her feet nervously. I looked at her and sighed. "Go," I said in elvish. She neighed then took off. Aragorn was the first to go inside the dark cave. It didn't seem scary to me. Legolas went in then me. Gimli stayed out. "This is preposterus, an elf go underground, where a dwarf dare not...I'd never hear the end of it." He said to himself darting in. We walked along in sheer darkness for a while then we went into a slightly lit tunnel. I felt something beneath my feet and looked down. Skulls. My stomach slitered. I grabbed Legolas' hand and looked down again. "Eww." He said. I pointed them out to Aragorn. "Gimli, don't look down." Aragorns said. Gimli slowly looked down. He looked like he was about to be sick. I took a deep breath and continued walking. Everyone else did the same. I walked slowly hanging on to Legolas' hand for dear life. We reached a room where a lot of weird ghosty hands were swirling around us. Gimli tried to blow them away and the rest of us just let them be. Then glowing green ghosts appeared. "The way is shut," The king of the dead said. Then he and Aragorn spoke. Legolas and I were rather calm but Gimli was being pessimistic. Then the king of the dead tried to kill Aragorn but Aragorn pulled out a really long sword and pressed it against the kings neck. "That line was broken." The ghost said. "It has been reforged." Aragorn said. "Who are you?" The ghost asked. "I am Isildur's heir, and i come to you now, and ask you to come with us to battle, if you do i will hold your oaths fulfilled." Aragorn said. There was muttering amongst the other ghosts. "What say you?" Aragorn asked. "Aragorn, these words are perilous, we should go back." Gimli said nervously. "What say you?" Aragorn said loudly. The floor started shaking and more skulls came. I hung onto Legolas but the skulls swept us apart. "Legolas," I called struggling through the skulls. I didn't see anyone, i was surrounded by skulls. The whole world seemed to be spinning then i realized i was being tossed in circles. Then all went dark...
"Elwyn? Elwyn where are you?" I heard a voice call. I was here wasn't I? Where was here? I looked around and saw skulls. Dang! "Elwyn wherever you are say something!" It was Legolas, the first voice had been Aragorn. "Elwyn?" Aragorn called again. "You're standing on my hair," I managed to say. Above me Aragorn jumped back and saw my blondish hair sticking out. Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli managed to dig me out and brush off what i hoped was dirt, from my clothes. "What happened?" I asked. "The dead agreed to help us," Aragorn said. "Where to now?" I asked. "To the river. Gandalf said there was an ambush at the river, last time we saw him." Legolas said. I nodded remembering the conversation. "What are we waiting for?" Gimli asked. So we headed off towards the river.

From a distance we saw a ship coming ashore. There were orcs, uruk-hai, and i think a troll or two. Aragorn talked with them and then he told Legolas to fire a warning shot right over one of their ears. He strung his bow. "Careful of your aim, now." Gimli said. As Legolas released his arrow i noticed Gimli had hit the end of the bow causing the arrow to fly into the gut of the nearest orc, killing it. "Well we warned them," Gimli said. Then we rushed fowards and the dead appeared out of thin air and ran through us. It was an odd feeling, freezing cold. I watched as the dead fought against our enemy. When all of them were dead we got on the boat and left to go wherever the orcs were supposed to go in the first place....
As the ship approached what Aragorn announced to be Pellanor fields we saw dozens of orcs and uruk-hai fighting with the armies of Gondor and Rohan. I also noticed several huge animals parading about with orcs on their backs. "What are those?" I asked Legolas. "Oliphants," He replied. Aragorn motioned for us to crouch down as the ship pulled to a halt. "On the count of three jump over the edge," Aragorn whispered. "Why?" I demanded.
"Because it'll look cool," He replied. "Well i'm not going to jump over," I replied. Who knew what a bad fall would do to my unborn child. Aragorn looked at me then shrugged his shoulders. "What if i fall?" I asked. "Legolas will catch you," Aragorn stated calmly. Legolas looked at Aragorn as if about to say something, but thought better of it. "1...2...3!" Aragorn shouted. They jumped on three and i waited until they were on the ground before jumping. As suspected i was off balance and started falling at an odd angle. Legolas caught me just in time. His arms felt strong and safe and i felt peaceful, like a small child who was about to fall asleep. Legolas set me down but i couldn't help but want him to pick me up again. I heard Aragorn talking to the orcs but the words didn't register. Eventually we charged foward weapons at the ready. When we got close enough the dead appeared from nowhere and charged through us. I sarted shooting at orcs and things and Legolas and Gimli were playing some kind of killing game where the winner was the one who killed the most. There was point in battle where i stopped long enough to watch Legolas spring upon an oliphant and take out the whole beast. As the oliphant was falling he jumped onto the head and slid down the trunk and jumped off, looking at me he flipped his hair. A warm sensation spread through me and i felt a light-headed feeling again. Which was brougt back to a present by a cluster of orcs charging at me.

The dead were a great help to us in battle, if it wasn't for them we probably would not have won. But we did win and everyone was happy. It was the next day and we were all sitting around looking resh and clean. I had started to feel the baby begining to move around inside of me and it was slightly painful but i ignored it. Gandalf was talking to Theoden in low tones. "Frodo is on the very doorstep of Mordor as we speak," Gandalf whispered. "We could help him," I suggested. They all looked at me. "How?" Aragorn asked. "Draw out Sauron's armies," I said quietly. "A diversion," Legolas said. They all began to nod in agreement. "Certianty of death, small chance of success,...What are we waiting for?" Gimli asked drawing in on his pipe. I giggled softly.
"Are you sure you want to go?" Legolas asked me later that day. "Of course," I said confidently. "I'm worried about you," He whispered softly drapping his arm over my shoulders. I wondered why, I hadn't told him about the baby so what reason had he to be worried. "Don't be," I said giving him a hug. He leaned down and kissed me. We stood like that for what seemed like an eternity in the fading twilight. "ELWYN!" A voice called snapping me into the present. We broke apart and i looked around dazed. It was Aragorn. He motioned me over to him. I left the warmth of Legolas' arms and headed through the fading light to Aragorn. "What do you want?" I asked coldly. "Are you going to fight the armies of Mordor?" He asked. "Of course," I said. "I just wanted to tell you to be careful," He said looking at me. I wash of pure annoyance came over me and i kicked Aragorn in the knee. "Don't be concerned about me!" I shouted stalking away. "I know your little seceret," He whispered. I whirled around. "You know nothing," I whispered angrily. "Better be careful or little Legolas jr. could get hurt," Aragorn said tauntingly. "Hush!" I demanded. He started laughing and i kicked him again. "Careful or i might let something slip!" He said rubbing his knee. "Fine, I care not, if you do i might have to tell Arwen something i over heard between you and gandalf," I said stalking away. I had planned on returning to where i had left Legolas but he was gone. I sat down where he had been. How did Aragorn know? Eowyn would not have told him. I sat there silently hoping that Aragorn would not tell anyone, especially Legolas, not yet, I would tell him in my own good time...

We stood before the black gate that lead into Mordor. My heart was racing fast for i knew that in a few moments orcs and uruk-hai would swarm around us. Legolas was right, I should have stayed behind. I looked over at Aragorn, he hadn't told my seceret to anyone...yet. He looked at me and grinned innocently. I turned and looked at Legolas he smiled and took my hand confortingly. I couldn't help smiling to myself even as a large Orc came out of the black gate. Gandalf and Aragorn rode foward to speak to it. "The great Sauron bids thee welcome," The orc said tauntingly. They spoke quietly for a moment and then the orc pulled out a shining shirt made of Mithril. I looked at Legolas for an answer. "Frodo's," He said softly. This was a shock to everyone as it meant he was dead. Aragorn and Gandalf rode back as the black gate opened revealing the inside of Mordor. We were outnumbered by thousands. I saw a large red eye sitting atop a tower. Sauron. Sauron spoke to Aragorn trying to tempt him into being evil. Aragorn turned to us and raised his sword. "For Frodo," He said and charged at the orcs. Next to follow were the small hobbit creatures, Merry and Pippin. Then we all rushed fowards at once and nearly ran over the poor hobbits...
Fighting thousands of orcs was terribly boring. It seemed we were going to be taken over. I looked around. Many of ours had died, I saw my friends were okay, still fighting for their lives. Legolas grinned at me as he shot his arrows, but his grin did nothing to reassure me of the terrible fate i felt coming. I sighed and then to my astonishment i heard someone shout 'The eagles are coming!' over the racket. It was Gandalf who had shouted of course.
We fared little better with the eagles on our side. It seemed the battle would go on forever. The eagles were battling the flying ring-wraiths which only prevented us from being attacked by the dragon-like Nazgul. Suddenly there were deafening crashes and fire shot off of the mountain, Sauron's screaming was horrible beyond descreption. "Frodo's done it!" Someone shouted. Although i didn't see how as Frodo was supposedly dead. "The orcs lied!" Aragorn shouted. The ground started splitting and the orcs began running for the hills. I wasn't fond of the way the Earth was trmbling beneath my feet so i sought refuge in the nearest tree i could find. I watched as orcs and uruk-hai fell into the cracks in the Earth and then as large rocks came from Mount Doom and wiped out the flying ring-wraiths. Then lava began flowing from Mt.Doom. I felt someone climb up beside me in the tree...It was Legolas. Together we watched as Sauron's eye fell with the tower and was gone. I leaned my head on Legolas' shoulder and sighed. He put his arm aroud me and stroked my hair. "I need to tell you something..."I said. "What is it?" He asked. "I'm going to have your baby," I whispered in his ear. He didn't look especially suprised or upset. "I need to ask you something now," He said. I looked at him wonderingly. "Will you return to Mirkwood with me...and become my wife?" He asked, holding a silver ring in his hand he extended it to me. My eyes filed with tears. "Of course," I said smiling. He put the silver ring on my finger and whispered some elvish engagment vows. (that would take too long to write) We watched silently as Gandalf got on the back of an eagle and flew off towards the mountain. I felt someone tugging on my foot...It was Aragorn. "Gandalf has gone to get Frodo or his body off the mountain," Aragorn said. "Aren't we the optimistic one?" I asked smiling. "The time has come for us to return to Gondor," Aragorn said. We all smiled and Legolas and i climbed down from the tree.
Gandalf returned to Gondor with Frodo and Sam, who looked extremly thin and worn out. It was two days yet before Frodo woke up. When he did awaken we were all summoned in to see him. The other hobbits all went in first after Gandalf who had never left his side. We all entered and stood as the hobbits all hugged each other and all tried to talk at once.

I woke up one morning, about two weeks after the final battle, to find Legolas waiting for me. "Hello, Elwyn," He said smiling. I returned his smile. "Hello, What is going on?" I asked. "Today is the day that Aragorn is to become king," Legolas said. I didn't reply, We had talked about it some over the two week and i decided i had to attend. Legolas had gone to Mirkwood for a few day and had returned yesterday. "I have something for you," He said. "What?" I asked sitting up. He motioned for someone to come in and in marched three elves bearing a beautiful light pink dress. "Oh Legolas it's beautiful," I said flinging my arms around his neck. "Promise me you'll wear it today?" He asked. "Promise," I said. Then he left to allow me to try on my new dress.
Legolas and I walked in the garden together for a while when we heard the approaching hoofbeats of many horses. We knew we had nothing to fear for it seemed there was little evil remaining in the world. We went to see who the visitors were.
As we approached the many riders, who were clearly elves, i noticed a young elf-maiden wearing a pale green dress, with dark hair. Something deep inside of me stirred and my stomach flooded with dislike, unknownly caused, at the beautiful she-elf. I also noticed Lord ELrond amongst them. "Our friends from Rivendell," Legolas said. The horses stopped and many dismounted. Elrond and the she-elf approached us. "Lord Elrond, we bid thee welcome," I said bowing slightly. "A star shines on the hour of our meeting," Elrond said, with what could be considered a smile. "Brightly doth it shine," Legolas said. "My friends,...News hath reached mine ears of thoust engagement," He said. "Yes," Legolas and I said together. The she-elf smiled at us. I forced myself to return her smile. "Ah,yes," Said Elrond,"Elwyn, this is my daughter, Arwen Undomiel." My stomach turned. This was Aragorn's girlfriend? And he told Gandalf i reminded him of her. blech. "Nice to meet you Arwen," I said. "I've heard of your joining the fellowship, Elwyn," Arwen said. I nodded my head. "I must say Legolas i thought you could make do with someone much more...wiser,"Arwen said to Legolas. That did it, now she had me angry. I balled my fists and was about to lunge at her when i felt Legolas' hand on my arm. "I'm perfectly happy with whom i have chosen," Legolas said. After a little more small talk Elrond and Arwen left. "I don't like her," I said to Legolas. "Well she is Aragorn's girlfriend," He said. "What are you implying?" I asked. "Nothing," He said quickly. I was fixing to retaliate when we heard trumpets sounding from atop the tower. "Come it is time to see the king," Legolas said leading me away.
I didn't pay much attention to the ceremony. My eyes remained on the oh so perfect Arwen who was carrying a flag. I heard Aragorn singing a calming song in elvish then he walked into the crowd. I noticed his crown was very girlish. He stopped beside Legolas and I and we bowed slightly. He continued on towards the elves of Rivendell. When he reached Arwen, she began to bow, but Aragorn stopped her and they kissed very passionately in front of the large crowd. My stomach turned but i clapped along with Legolas and everyone else. Arwen then joined Aragorn in his stroll through the crowd.

Legolas and I returned to his home in Mirkwood a week after the day of Aragorn becoming king. We left early in the morning from Gondor. There was a large crowd there to bid us farewell. The small hobbits were sad at our parting,Aragorn just stood there with a stupid grin on his face, and Arwen was smirking. Instead of punching her in the face like I wanted to, I climbed on Frost Rose and we rode off together.
At noon that day, we entered the forest of Mirkwood. "It's really dark," I commented more to myself than Legolas. He looked at me and smiled to himself. "What?" I asked.
"Nothing,"
"Well obviously something or you wouldn't be smiling,"
He didn't respond.
"Are you making fun of me?" I asked.
"How could I?"
We were quiet until we got to the castle where his parents live. There were hundreds of elves crowded around the castle draped in black robes.
"Something is not right," Legolas said with a frown. He got off of his horse and made his way through the crowd. I stayed where i was.
Legolas returned after a moment with a sad look on his face.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"My father, Thranduil, went away to battle and...he was killed." Legolas' voice was melancholy and sad. I wasn't sure how to react to this. Our returning was supposed to be happy not sad. We were supposed to be married.

I followed Legolas to the castle. He hadn't spoken since and was probably trying to sort out his emotions, as i was.
"So this is where you grew up?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"Yeah," He said smiling slightly. I tried to picture a small Legolas running up these very stairs we were climbing. I smiled to myself.
We went into the castle and he lead me to a room in which to put my stuff.
"You know this means I'm king now," He said quietly. I nodded my head.
"My mother died when i was little, killed by orcs," He said softly.
I had a feeling Legolas was talking more to himself than to me so I didn't say anything.
"I have some stuff to go sort out," He said suddenly.
"I'll...stay here,"
"Okay,"
Legolas left the room after giving me a kiss on my cheek.
I lay down on the bed and placed my hand on my stomach. I felt my baby growing in my stomach.
I must have fallen asleep because when i looked up it was growing dark outside, and there was a maid-elf putting away some clothes.
"Er, Do you know when Legolas will return?" I asked sheepishly.
"Oh you must be lady Elwyn. Yes, Legolas is out in the garden, would you like me to show you there?" She asked kindly.
"Yes thank you,"
I followed the maid outside.
"My name is Luin," She said as we went down the flight of stairs Legolas and I had climbed earlier.
"There is the garden, miss," She said.
"Thank you, Luin,"
I saw Legolas standing in a garden surronded by roses. He looked really sad. I walked over to him and out my arm around his shoulders and kissed him on the cheek.
"Did you have a nice nap?" He asked.
"Yes, Are you okay?" I asked concerned.
"I"m...fine...I guess,"
I sighed and gave him a hug. He was a horrible liar.
"You're not fine, You're sad," I said.
"You are right. I feel really bad that i wasn't here for my father."
"You were away, saving the world, and getting the girl," I said.
"You're right, my father would have been proud of me,"
I nodded my head.
"So when are we going to g et married?" I asked.
"Whenever you want,"
"Well I need a wedding dress,"
"It's being made, along with your crown," He said.
"Okay, How about tommorow?"
I woke up the next morning with butterflies in my stomach. My wedding was today!
"Good morning beautiful," Legolas said kissing me as i got up.
"Good morning,"
"The elven tailor brought your wedding dress earlier and the dwarves brought your crown late last night,"
"Okay, I want to see my dress,"
Legolas led me to a different chamber where there was a changing place. A beautiful whitish-silver dress was draped over a chair.
"That's it," Legolas said proudly.
"It's so beautiful,"
Legolas and I walked down to the garden together. The roses were opening and there was a strange mist.
"I want to get married in the garden," I said suddenly.
"That's fine with me," Legolas said.
We were quiet for a moment.
"Have you thought about what we're going to name the baby?" Legolas asked.
"Not really," I replied.
"I like the name Emile,"
"Nice,"
We walked back up to the castle to prepare for the wedding.
Later we were out in the garden with at least 200 elves surronding us.
"What's wrong?" Legolas asked gently.
"Nothing, I'm really happy, except...I wish that some of my family, whoever they are, could be here," I said quietly.
"We're your new family," Legolas said, "And besides look who's in the audience,"
I looked out and spotted the four hobbits, Gandalf, Aragorn, and the dreaded Arwen in the audience. Eowyn was there as well with Faramir. My heart jumped at the sight of Aragorn.

After the wedding, We went and talked to our friends.
"We came here to ask you something, we didn't expect to show up on your wedding day," Pippin said with a foolish grin.
"That's good then, that your here." I said smiling at our dear friends.
"We met up with Gandalf as we entered Mirkwood and he said he was heading here as well," Frodo said.
"I'd heard from an old friend that the wedding was today," Gandalf said, "I met Aragorn and Arwen on my way here as well," He guestured to Aragorn and Arwen. I aknowledged them with a nod of my head. "Gimli
was here i don't know what happened at the gate but they would not let him in," Sam said.
"Let us go see what kind of mess our dear Gimli has gotten himself into now," I said.
We went to the gate of the city and we saw Gimli sitting miserably on a stump, his hands bound with elven rope, and two guards standing beside him.
"Gimli," I said calling to him.
"Legolas, Elwyn, this treatment is perposterous, I will not accept it," He said glaring at the guards angrily.
"Oh, My king, we were unaware that this dwarf was of your accompinement," One guard said with a bow.
"He is one of our dearest friends, whom we traveled far with in the War of the Ring," I said.
"Please release him," Legolas said.
The guards bowed their heads and untied Gimli.
We walked back to the castle.
"You must be hungry after your travels," I said.
The hobbits all nodded their heads happily, Gimli who was still looking angry perked up slightly at the mention of food, and Aragorn nodded his head sligthly.

"So, Pippin mentioned you came to ask us something," I said as we ate.
"Oh, well yes you see there is trouble in the shire," Frodo said.
"That's your home?" I asked.
"Yes," Frodo replied.
"Well lets hear it,"
"Grima Wormtounge has come to Hobbiton, He brought orcs and wild men who have come to take over our lands. It looks almost as bad as Isengard did," Frodo said.
"And you would like our help?" Legolas asked kindly.
"Well yes, but i wouldn't ask it of you on your wedding day,"
"We'll leave tommorow," I said at once. Legolas nodded in agreement.
"Thank you Elwyn, thankyou Legolas," Frodo said.
The next day we all left for the shire. I wondered what to expect from the little hobbits hometown. I was almost certain i had never been there before.
"What are you thinking about?" Legolas asked. He was riding beside me on his horse. I shook my head and blew him a kiss as he we nt to talk to Gandalf. Aragorn trotted up beside me on his horse Brego.
"So congratulatons on your wedding," He said with a pained smile.
"Yeah, thanks, congrats on yours as well," I said. We both smiled nervously. The baby chose that moment to kick the inside of my ribs.
"Ow," I said.
"What the baby kicking you?"
"Yes, she does it at the most unnessecary times," I replied glad to have something else to talk about.
Our conversation went on like that for a good while.
We reached the shire the next day. It was dark there and there were dead flowers all over, and lots of metal and machinary.
"Oh my..." Gandalf said.
I got off of my horse, Frostrose and examined a dead flower.
"These plants were once well cared for and loved as were these lands," I whispered softly.
Legolas put a comforting hand on my shoulder and whispered a few consoling words in elvish.
My sadness was converted to anger at the orcs and Grima Wormtounge.
"I will destroy the creatures that caused this much damage to a place that was once full of green plantlife," I vowed.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
As we were headed into the shire we were stopped by two orcs who demanded payment to enter the shire.
I strung an arrow and released it into ones gut as Legolas did the same to the other.
"How's that for payment?" Aragorn said grinning.
I turned to smile at Aragorn and saw a gaggle of orcs rushing at us from behind.
"Look out!" I said to the company.
We all drew our weapons and rushed at our attackers head-on.
After fighting for hours i noticed we had been joined by a brave group of elderly hobbits.
Sooner than i thought we came face to face with Grima Wormtounge.
"This is a disgrace! Destroying these lands! What has come over you?" I demanded angrily.
"The she-elf has a temper," Grima said coldly.
"Do not change the subject!" I said.
"Tell me Legolas. How did a mighty elven prince warrior end up with someone so horridly stubborn. Although i suppose there most be something good about her, her face is beautiful," Grima said slyly.
I was preparing to retaliate but was not given the chance for at that moment a sword slashed off Grima's head as an arrow was imbeaded in his stomach. The arrow had of course come from Legolas who glaring angrily at Grima's corpse, The sword had been Aragorn who was staring at Grima with a mixture of hate and satisfaction on his face. Legolas looked at Aragorn unblinkingly and Aragorn shrugged.

After a while we had gotten rid of all the bad guys in the Shire. Without orders from Grima they were pretty helpless. We all sat outside of Frodo's practically destroyed home as the sun was setting and talked.
"We'll help you fix your house back Frodo," Merry said cheerfully.
"We will too," Aragorn said.
"As will we," I said. I looked around for Legolas to agree but he wasn't sitting with us.
"Where is Legolas?" I asked suddenly.
Everyone looked around and shrugged.
"I think i know," Aragorn said. I looked at him expectently.
"He has always been fasinated by the sea, i would suggest looking there," He said. I looked at him blankly.
"I'll lead you there," He said quietly. While everyone else went inside to salvage what food was left in Frodo's home i followed Aragorn down some paths.
"It's getting dark," I stated.
"Scared?" Aragorn asked grinning.
"Of what?" I snorted indignately.
"Me,"
"Should i be?"
"Depends,"
I rolled my eyes but kept my eye on him.
Finally we reached the ocean where Legolas was standing singing softly to himself.

"Sea, oh sea, someday i shall come to thee,
were it not for the elf maiden who has captured my heart, i would come to thee...

I waited until he finished singing before approaching him.
"Elwyn," He said startled.
"Hi," I replied.
"How did you find your way here?"
I turned to point to Aragorn where he was watching us bitterly. The moment he saw us looking his facial expression changed and he waved, but his smile was a forced one.
Legolas shrugged.
"We will go to the sea one day," I said confidently.
"Yes, after the baby," Legolas said.
"We will make the trip to the undying lands together," I said.
"With Gimli," Legolas said. I looked at him quizicly.
"I made a promise," He shrugged.
We sat down together and stared at the water.
"The sea has been calling me all day," Legolas said.
"Really?"
"Yes, a slight tugging at my mind,"
"Oh, i felt that as well, the moment we entered the shire. I thought perhaps i had lost my sanity," I said.
All of a sudden there was a splash and three creatures jumped out of the water.
"Princess Elwyn...." Said an eerie voice.
The creatures finished their dive through the air and fell back into the water.
"What were those?" I asked incrediously.
Legolas shook his head as if in disbelief.
"Merfolk," Aragorn said from behind us.
"Sea-elves," Legolas said.
I had never heard of them.
"What did they say?" Aragorn asked Legolas.
"How should i know? I am no sea-elf," Legolas said.
"Only sea elves can understand each other?" I asked.
"Yes," Legolas and Aragorn said.
"They were calling my name," I whispered.
They both looked at me.
"You understood them?" Aragorn asked.
I nodded.
"Maybe you are half sea elf. That would explain your green eyes," Aragorn said.
I looked at him blankly.
"Most elves have grey eyes," Aragorn said indicating Legolas who was deep in thought.
"How can that be? The sea-elves made the crossing to Valinor long before i was even born," Legolas said.
"The Undying lands? why?" Aragorn asked.
"The waters were being polluted so they left. If they had come back we would hear something," Legolas said.
We all stood in silence for a while.
"They called me princess Elwyn," I said.
"We will figure this out one day. For now i grow weary and the Valar are calling me to sleep," Legolas said.
We all walked back together.
"Speak nothing of tonight to the others," I said suddenly. I felt it wouldn't be wise.
They both agreed not to.

We stayed in the shire for the next few weeks helping Frodo fix his house. Many of the elves from Rivendell came to help including Lord Elrond himself. After a while we had the Shire looking beautiful.
"It's perfect," Frodo said on our last day in the Shire.
"Better than before even," Pippin added.
"It was our pleasure to help friends," Aragorn said.
"Legolas, Elwyn, might i have a word with you in private before you leave?" Frodo asked.
"Of course," We both said. Frodo led us inside where his book that he was writting lay.
"I want to thank you for helping fix, not only my home, but the Shire as well. You will be greatly remembered by all hobbits for generations to come." Frodo said.
We bowed our heads in thanks.
"There is something i wish to tell the both of you. I have been given special permission to travel with the elves to Valinor shortly. Naturally I had to speak with the Valar and they wish to know when you plan to make the crossing to Valinor as you are expected to do so," Frodo said.
"After the baby is born," Legolas said confidently. Frodo nodded.
"They also said you may bring Gimli and Aragorn with you," Frodo said.
This suprised me. Even i knew humans weren't allowed in Valinor.
"He is a desendant of Elros, brother of Elrond. One of the half-elven. Also he is highly admired among many elves as well as humans for his contribute to the war of the ring. He is allowed a desicion, however and he must be asked this by an elf whether or not he will go to Valinor," Frodo said looking dead at me.
"I will do it," I said cheerfully. I walked out of the house leaving Frodo and Legolas to talk. Aragorn looked at me questioningly.
"I must speak with Aragorn alone," I said to no one in particular.
Aragorn and i walked together down a dirt road.
"What, can't stand to be away from me?" Aragorn asked jokingly. I made an 'ick' face then turned to him in a completly serious manner.
"Aragorn, The Valar have given you a choice; Go to Valinor with Legolas and I in a few years OR remain here and die," I said seriously. I realised this was very funny but decided now was not the best time to laugh.
"Are you serious?" Aragorn asked. I nodded my head. He thought for a moment.
"I will make the crossing to Valinor," Aragorn said. I slight breeze picked up and sweet-smelling flowers drifted around us.
"Okay....that was weird," I said when the breeze died down.
"Yeah..." Aragorn said.
"There is a flower in your hair," I said.
He removed the flower from his hair and placed it behind my ear. My heart jumped into my throat. I smiled at him.
"If you had not just been married to one of my greatest friends i would kiss you right now," Aragorn said truthfully.
I punched him playfully on the arm.
"Elwyn, You have given me a chance for eternal life with my kinsman of old, I will never be able to thank you," Aragorn said.
"I hate it when you sound all kingly," I said annoyed. Legolas i could deal with but not Aragorn. He smiled at me and i smiled back.
"So we are friends now?" I asked. He looked at my quizicly.
"Well when i first requested permission to travel with you guys in Loth lorien you weren't to eager for me to do so." I said.
Aragorn shrugged and so did I.
"We may be friends but somehow i doubt Arwen and I will ever be friends," I said.
"Why not?"
"She hates me," I said simply.
"Maybe,"
"And ever since I first saw her there has been an unannounced dislike on my behalf,"
"So you hate each other,"
"Pretty much yeah,"
"You could have just said that,"
We both laughed.
We returned to Frodo's house where Arwen was waiting for Aragorn and Legolas for me.
"I am going to Valinor," Aragorn announced as we approached our friends.
Legolas embraced me and kissed my cheek.Aragorn and I had our moment but now it was over, the elf i truly loved was holding me, our child growin steadily inside me, and our home waiting for us.
"Let's go home," I whispered.
And so we returned to Mirkwood where we lived for many years patiently waiting for our chance to go to join our kin in Valinor and possibly discover more of my past.
