Episode 1: Strength to Move
Episode 1: Strength to Move
May was still outside, standing in the darkness of the night with endless thoughts of a friend going through her mind. She began walking slowly and mindlessly with a face of emptiness- her usual friendly and exciting eyes dark in fear and sadness. Continuing her slow walk, it was as if she was under a spell, her hands moving in front of her instead of beside her; May’s head staring straight ahead ignoring the rotting corpses to the left and right of her. Walking through the forests were several trees in the way, but she always would turn to the clear direction without tilting her head even once, but not caring on what she would step on, whether it be the bones of a dead person or their rotting bodies in her way. The trees grew taller and taller, images of hatred and loneliness traveling through her mind, not aware of her slow gait.
May turned around, noticing she wasn’t anywhere near the wooden shack she was living in for about a month already. “I can’t see it anymore…but then again, why would I care? Nowhere’s worth living if I can’t see him ever again.” She continued walking through the night, with the strange sound of giggling behind her coming from the dark ghosts of the forest, probably trying to make her fear, but she was impervious to it.
“Join us…” a moaning voice.
May ignored it, shedding a small tear down through the eyes of a skull, then stepped on it without any caring to myths and such.
“Join us…” it went again, but this time, a cold wind brushed through her, sending small leaves from above down to her feet, which she walked through.
“I don’t really care…what the freak…”
“Join us!” the voice was now louder. This time, a small dead tree fell quickly and was now in front of her, a few branches on her feet, which she kicked off.
“I don’t give a damn about your crap, so leave me alone. I couldn’t care less about what you have to offer me, so go to hell already. Dumb crap.”
The eerie voice amplified itself. “I thought you wanted to see him again…am I right?”
“What would you know?”
“Don’t try and hide it from us. We all know you miss him, you mortal.”
“What? I just want to be alone, idiot.”
“Well it looks like you’re ruining your one and only chance to meet your friend again, for if you pass up this opportunity, it will be gone forever.”
“What can you do? There’s no way he can come back.”
“Who said? After all you’ve been to, you should know of all people…nothing is impossible…now follow me, and you shall get what you want.”
“How can I follow you if I can’t even see you?”
“Use your ears to follow me and not your eyes, for sight of the mind is more vital than sight of the eye…if you don’t get it, just follow my voice…”
“Okay, whatever.”
She began walking over to the source of the voice, it leading her way to the words from where she heard before, the creepy wind not affecting her one bit, and the fact it was completely dark outside right now with the overwhelming trees covering the moonlight made the feat somewhat fearful to the regular traveler, but not affecting her. The trees carved patterns on to the point you could see illusions, strange faces carving into the wood of the tree walking, seeming to be alive and laugh at her.
“Hee, hee, hee…” went the trees.
“Whatever, you’re not creeping me out.”
“Of course we’re not, little girl. This is just my voice to lead you, but one wrong step, and the eternal darkness of this forest shall trap you here forever…”
“Just stop trying to scare me already, no-face, and keep talking your crap if you really want me to come with you.”
“Whatever. Come over here…you loser…”
“I’m not a loser, idiot.” May followed the voice, making a turn to where she heard it and was now down a new path, one with the rotting smell traveling through the air as she saw a sword stabbed directly through the stomach of a man, along with a hung person in a tree, lifeless and swinging in the air as if the rope was somehow alive.
“You’re getting closer, fool. Just keep coming to me…”
“Some nice décor you have here, whoever you are,” May said sarcastically, but not fearing the location in one bit. “You’ve got to give me your recipe.”
“Why thank you…it took me years to get the place to look as beautiful as it is right now.”
May made yet another turn, seeing more cadavers along the way- one with a sword poked through his eye and the other one with his head off, rotting onto the ground.
“Yes…be a good girl and keep walking…”
“If this is your hobby, then I think you need to get a new one, whoever you are. This place looks really nice, the way you make it.”
“Why thank you, little girl. Just keep going.”
She did as asked, and suddenly after a few more steps in the direction she was heading she jolted to a stop, freezing as if she saw something actually able to scare her unlike the other already fearful things. There was nothing where she was standing, but for some reason, frozen in the spot, she felt something go through her body.
“There’s something here,” she muttered.
“Is it what you’re looking for, you fool?”
“I-I just d-don’t understand…something’s here to give me a feeling…but what…what is it…? Please, I can’t bare the feeling!” she screamed loud in the forest, causing the Murkrow in the trees to flee away from her voice. She then looked down, and noticed green shining and pink glitter sprinkling all over her. “Is that what I…?”
The green shining and pink glitter slowly rose to a stop, and during the pause materialized a Roselia standing right in front of her, to her delight and fear.
“A Roselia…? But no…this isn’t…I can’t believe this…” May thought to herself.
No, why a Roselia…? This isn’t fair…life is…NO! How can this be…? Past memories of Roselia and a friend coursed through her mind- her friend had green hair shaped like the petals of a rose, a purple blazer atop a black shirt and jeans. She kneeled down to the disgusting ground and began crying intensely, almost insanely.
“So you like your memory?”
“Is this your idea or a joke, you fu¢king JA¢kašš? Stop this šhit already and show your face to me like a real person!”
“I assume you don’t, so one of your best friends are about to go bye-bye now!”
Roselia glowed green, and began to run away into the dark trees. May tried chasing after it, but to no avail, her feet were moving, but she didn’t run at all- rather like when you’re trying to run up in an elevator heading down.
“No, stop Roselia!” ordered May.
Roselia walked slowly back to her, but right when she touched it gently; it shattered into glass like a bubble in contact. May screamed again in fear.
“No, please! Stop doing this to me!”
“Why should I? Give me what I want and I’ll give him back.”
“What do you want?”
“Your life!” with those words, the many skulls and bones from the ground began to shake, and form back into each other as living skeletons beginning to walk, slowly advancing towards May with the flesh of their bodies slowly falling off as they did so. Swords materialized through the middle of their hands as if they couldn’t get a grip on one. The disgusting monsters began advancing slowly, May not afraid of them for the second. Some of them laughed evilly and had worms through their eyes.
“Wow, I’m really scared,” May say sarcastically. “After all the crap I had to go through in life, you have to be retarded to think this is frightening to me.” May unwrapped her bandana, and sifted it through the air with her eyes closed; the slicing was like a wind’s razor, slashing through the air and onto the skeletons to destroy them into dust this time. She wrapped it back on without any caring to the event occurring.
“So you’re better than I thought you were…I should know, you’ve beaten me so many times already, and I’m already feared by many. Now follow the light at the end of the cave, and you’ll get your freedom out of this place.”
“Are you blind, or just retarded, whoever you are? This isn’t a cave, it’s a forest!”
“Wow. You really can talk, can you?”
“Just shut up and show me wherever the freak this place is you’re talking about, and it better not be another prank or else.”
“Or else what?” with those words, a green light was shown through the edges of the trees, she walked through them as if they weren’t there, and saw something in a rather large opening after getting past those foliage.
“So now what?”
The opening was completely unoccupied by anything but leaves, it was strange how the other parts of the forest had dead body parts scattered randomly all over, while this area only had the cadavers on the edge of the field. She turned back around to where she arrived, then turned back, noticing this time there were many statues of the familiar person she loved- that original rose hair, the blazer with a shirt underneath, and his trademark poses whenever he walked away or arrived.
“This isn’t fair! Stop this $hit right now or else!”
“Okay then!” with the sound of a snap of a finger, the statues disappeared in a flash of a shatter, and May was even more miserable.
“What did you just do?”
“I thought you didn’t like them!”
“I never said that. Just stop your torturing already!”
“Okay, you two-face! Whatever.” Another snap of a finger was heard, and they materialized again, in the same poses.
May ran up to one of them, trying to touch the being, but each time she did, they shattered. She kept trying and trying, but they kept breaking whenever she got near. She decided to try and get them from behind, but to no avail.
“You’re scared now, right?”
“Shut the fu¢k up already!” she kneeled down and cried even more. “Why can’t you just stop this $hit already?!”
“Because I’m having too much fun to quit now…”
A glowing version of the one May was seeking began walking towards her, and suddenly from out of the sky, a dark-green pointed spear shot out through the center of his heart, making him bleed, then shattered like glass.
“No…why that…not again…”
“You remember when that happened, right?”
“Of course I do…he saved me from an enemy of mines. And if you’re really my friend, then you’ll stop making my life worse right now than it already is.”
“Why would he save you in the first place?”
“Because he’s my friend, you idiot. Why else would he save me? And because I’m his friend, so get that in your head already and stop bothering me.”
“Is it because of friendship and trust and the other cheesy stuff you love to talk about everyday? Or is it more than that…?”
“Where are you getting at? We’re friends, and if that’s not a good enough reason to convince you, then I’m afraid nothing will!”
“Maybe you’re right…or maybe he saved you only for the fact he knew he couldn’t live without you…isn’t that another possibility? After all you two have been to, don’t you think there’s a more powerful bond than anything else?”
“You are so right- we’re best friends.”
“There’s more than that, I can see through your mind. You’ve been with each other in Hoenn countless times, Contesta, Sugo, Orre, Zuki- you’ve been for each other for countless years already…there’s more to it than that…”
“So? Does that make a difference?”
“I want to kill you. You’ve beaten me so many times already: from the time we met in Hoenn, to the ranks of Kanto, the Orre Tower, Zuki Kingdom…it’s been countless times already- even at my very own humble abode.”
“But if I’d beaten you that many times, then that means…”
“You’ll find out…”
The picture of the forest began to wiggle as if it was made of water, and spiral like a whirlpool, draining away into a pipe, as the entire screen became one of utter darkness except for the clear appearance of May. A picture began to appear slowly: the waters of the wide ocean; the sands of a beach; the people vacationing; a marble staircase to her left leading up on the white walls to the sidewalk of a city; a large hotel; a Pokémon Contest hall was seen on the horizon. She was on the beach itself, with the wavering water by her feet, and nobody seemed to notice her as she began to slowly walk, looking as if she was in an hypnotic state, her hands waving below her. She kept walking, even directly through the bodies of the people she saw, and the waves didn’t even wet her at all. But the most astonishing sight she saw was…her.
“Silver Wind, Beautifly!”
Beautifly shot out silver waves from its wings, and then flew back down next to her.
“Good job, Beautifly!”
“What is all this?” May could see Ash, Brock and Max alongside ‘herself’. She went next to them, and when she tried to touch her ‘friends’ and ‘herself’, they shattered into glass right before her. “No…how can these events happen…?”
“I’ll tell you how this stuff happens…this was the first time you met him, right?”
“How did you know that…?”
“I can peer into your soul and learn everything about you- your friends, your family, you, everything. And soon I’ll get revenge on you.”
“Why would you even want revenge on me? You’re acting like I did something really, really, really bad to you before, especially since I’ve never even seen your face for one time. I think the only thing you’re worth is by being a lowlife and making me go to places so I can relive my past, right? Get out of there and show yourself!”
“Okay, but only if you battle me.”
“Fine then, but you have to get outta here, right?”
“Nah, I’m staying right here.”

Coordinator May vs. Mystery Man
=================================================
[No entrance occurs, but two PokéBalls are thrown from out of nowhere, releasing Rafflsite, the Grass, Poison, and Virus Parasite Pokémon that seemed to be a flat plant with huge purple petals and a face that was in the middle with an empty expression, with stems and roots hanging out below it to make it look like a plant that was dug up carelessly and put on land, except that it was living in dark state; and Roselia]
“Double Battle? Fine, go Blaziken and Delcatty! A Roselia…$hit.”
“Rafflsite, Life Drain on Delcatty; Roselia, Petal Wing!”
“Blaziken, Blaze Kick on Rose--” May pictured Drew next to Roselia, and instantly stopped her command. “Blaziken, Blaze Kick on Rafflsite; Delcatty, use Assist!”
Blaziken was definitely the quickest, charging a fiery kick and then slammed it on Rafflsite, but for some reason, Rafflsite healed before taking on the fire, and Blaziken’s moral was cut in half.
“What happened?”
“Rafflsite drains half the remaining HP of whoever’s attacking it, and since you just did, Blaziken’s life is cut in half, and Rafflsite gets that much.”
Delcatty used Assist, making a white orb appear on top of its head before a Petal Dance was formulated; barely damaging the Roselia considering it was a Grass-type.
“Bad luck there, eh May?”
Rafflsite made the next move, launching onto Delcatty and draining its HP until it only had one left, recovering the damage done by Blaze Kick.
“So much damage…how did you do that?”
“Yoo-hoo. Life Drain takes the HP of whatever the target is until it only has one left, meaning the slightest touch is going to eliminate your Delcatty from the equation, so tough luck getting it to survive. Oh wait! I forgot- Roselia’s just about to use Petal Wing and take it out- too bad!”
“Oh no!”
Roselia materialized a green and pink wing behind it, suddenly unleashing a large amount of petals to barely damage Blaziken and knocking out Delcatty for the count; the wings disappeared and it looked on with the grace of the move.
“Return, Delcatty, go Blastoise!” she released Blastoise.
“Rafflsite, Life Drain on Blaziken; Roselia, Petal Wing.”
“Blaziken, Flamethrower Rafflsite; Blastoise, Ice Beam on Rafflsite!”
Blaziken unleashed a huge dose of flames from its mouth at Rafflsite, knocking it out- without the special ability activating.
“Grr…how did you…”
“Your Rafflsite’s special ability only works if it’s a contact move!”
“Go Anglerite!” a new one appeared as a long grey body like a Remoraid, but it has a long jaw which is always open. Its eyes are wide-open and icy blue with no pupil. The top of its mouth has two long sabre-like teeth. Its fins and tail are like spikes of ice. Underneath it there are two spikes that fold backwards. On its back are a series of spikes that get smaller as they go along.
Blastoise shot out a light-blue beam of ice from its mouth at Anglerite, but it didn’t do too much damage considering the target was a Water-type.
“Looks like you couldn’t predict my moves! And Blastoise is about to take a chunk!”
Roselia materialized a green and pink wing behind it again, unleashing a large amount of petals to barely damage Blaziken and super-effectively damage Blastoise; the wings disappeared and it looked on with the grace of the move.
“Blaziken, Sky Uppercut that Anglerite and Blastoise, Protect! I know your Anglerite’s an Ice-type, and I’ll bet my next cheeseburger’s it’s going down!”
“Shut up. Angerite, Thunder Break that Blastoise; Roselia, Petal Shield! Time for you to go down for the count, little girl!”
Why would he use an attack on my protecting Blastoise? He has something up his sleeve, I can tell…I better be careful. “Don’t try your trick on me!”
“But it’s gonna work so well…”
Protect always struck first, so Blastoise put a green shield to ‘protect’ itself. Anglerite ‘swam’ through the air, charging itself with thunder and smashing the barrier Blastoise put up, knocking it out.
“But how did you--”
“Thunder Break pierces all shields, so there!” he laughed familiarly.
“Go Munchlax!” she released her eager Pokémon. May’s Blaziken ran all the way to Anglerite, giving it a powerful uppercut to send it flying, and then fainted. However, after that move, Blaziken was frozen in ice.
“How did Blaziken--”
“When Anglerite’s attacked, the user becomes frozen!” the unknown voice summoned Whombus, what looked like a fat version of Wobbuffet and had four tails.
Blaziken is frozen solid. Roselia generated a barrier of petals around it, moving around it like a repelled magnet as it stood in the center of the ring.
“Roselia, Petal Dance!”
“Blaziken, Flamethrower on Whombus; Munchlax, Metronome!”
Blaziken is frozen solid. Roselia did a spin and released a whirlwind of rose around it, trapping Munchlax and dealing a lot of damage before they stopped. Munchlax wiggled both its index, and suddenly a Hyper Beam came out of its mouth- but when it hit the shield of petals, nothing happened.
“What’s the deal?”
“Petal Shield protects my Pokémon until you use an attack that does super-effective damage on Grass-types- looks like you’re stuck because your Blaziken’s frozen!”
Roselia used Petal Dance again, hitting Munchlax at full blast to deal great damage to the hyperactive critter. Whombus used Cross Defense, but it failed!
“That must mean Cross Defense is a counterattacking move…Blaziken use Flamethrower and Munchlax, Metronome!”
“Your Blaziken’s a stiff, so don’t think it’s gonna be moving anywhere for the rest of the battle, little girl! Roselia, dance on! By the way, I think there’s gonna be a little surprise for you the next move when one of your Pokémon go down…”
Blaziken is frozen solid. Munchlax waggled its fingers once more, and a huge wave of fire emerged from it, destroying the leaf barrier and hitting both Whombus and Roselia hard, it was a Heat Wave attack. Roselia was greatly damaged but Whombus released a cross shot that knocked out Munchlax upon contact, pushing it back and having returned back to its PokéBall.
“That attack was so powerful…What did you just do?”
“Cross Defense is like a combination of Counter and Mirror Coat, except it does three times the damage done when attacked…It makes the already uber Wobbuffet looks super-uber, so watch out! But don’t you think it’s amazing how even Heat Wave didn’t manage to take out Roselia?”
“Well then why didn’t you give out orders to it?”
“That’s because when you’re saying a counterattack move, you’re not supposed to make it obvious, that way the opponent can be caught off guard. I thought a ‘talented coordinator’ like you would already know that.”
“Nice move. Go Beautifly!” May released Beautifly. “You’re the first Pokémon I caught in the wild, and I’m trusting you on this. And I know Roselia was the first Pokémon Drew ever caught so this is gonna be a good battle!”
“Hey, usually in a tournament whenever three of someone’s Pokémon’s cut from the show, they make a little stage change. Let’s do one right now!”
“But this isn’t an official league battle…”
“Who cares--here’s a little something I cooked up for ya! So if you turn to your left you will see a little $lut performing for a crap appeal.”
May was powerfully throwing a pink Frisbee into the air at her floating Beautifly. Max, Brock and Ash were alongside her as well. Her Beautifly messed up the act by making the overpowered Silver Wind go out of bounds as May jumped and tried to catch it in her hands, knocking the Frisbee off target. The flying disc was quickly traveling to the high sidewalk atop of a staircase, targeting a familiar looking boy.
“Oh no! Watch out!”
The man about to be attacked with the Frisbee quickly caught it in his hand without opening his eyes. I hope you’re not planning to enter the contest with a cheesy act like THAT. If you must know, I’m Drew, Pokémon Coordinator.
“Drew?!”
