Amen!

I've always been an advocate for championing the little pokes that don't get love, and are frowned upon by the Smogon crowd. Basically if I like a pokemon, and it has a decent moveset, onto my team it goes. As Karen said, skilled trainers try to win with their faves...!

Among some of my best have been a Kabutops (who once OHKO'd a Dragonite over wifi!!), an Armaldo, a Houndoom, a Lanturn, a Pidgeot, Jumpluff, Absol, a Seismitoad, a Whimsicott, a Swanna, and a personal favourite of mine, both the Nido Royalty. And none of these pokemon have ever let me down.

For me, the greatest joy is training a pokemon you thought you would rubbish only to see it slowly improve until it's carrying your team. No feeling in the world like it, especially if you raised it from an egg :3

i always use the coolest looking pokemon in game. never the strogest (although some like salamence, scizor and metagross are both) although i have to say one thing i do is i always get the 600 pokemon (dragonite/tyranitar/salamence/garchomp/hydregion) as soon as i can. i had hydregion on black when i went through the leauge the first time and he was ten levels higher. he OHKO'd reshiram!
