Contary to popular belief Anime with the word 'Love' in it can also be for boys.

As you can guess by my sig. i'm into Love Hina and Love Hina Again.

Is there anyone else out there who shares my view?

What is your fav. Love Hina or Love Hina Again episode/s (not the movies)?

Mine are:
1) Keitaro's First Kiss Is with...?: Journey
2) Changing After the Wedding? Swordmaster Motoko's Sunday Best: Feminine
3) Monkey Performance at the Seaside Teahouse Hinata: A Kiss?

......... Ok, you need a brain check. It's ok, I can help you. That "trash" must been ruining your mind. lmao.

Seriously though, I hate it. I see nothing good of it. Just another generaic and overated harem series. I'll see Ai Yori Aoshi over this any day of the week.

I liked that episode more in the manga. It got mangled up with filler in the anime...

I would think a Legendary Coordinator would know better than to bash.
You disappoint me TSC.

Come now. The number of posts does not exemplify the intelligence of any forum poster.

Anyway, the only thing that I'll say about it is that I would've enjoyed it if Akamatsu had bothered to not include fan service every dozen or so pages, tried to make the characters actually develop, made a coherent plot, and didn't rely on cliché humor throughout the entire series. This is coming from someone who forced himself to read through all fourteen volumes. From what I've heard, the manga is preferred as oppose to the anime from the fans of the series.

But this is just me rambling. Continue on with those happy discussions, Love Hina fans. :D (Yes, I'm sarcasticly condescending.)

I did read and I made my opinion on it. If you're saying there is something wrong about that then that's your problem. The first comment wasn't suppose to been taken seriously. Just joking around.

For your infomation, I, like Hellkorn, have read all 14 volumes of the manga. Yet it never statify me one bit. If you want a Good Harem series try Ai Yori Aoshi or Oh My Goddess where the relationship between the girl and boy protoganist aren't going in love/hate realtionship that's becoming cliche.
I made my judgement that the manga isn't good. Though I haven't seen the anime I admit, from what I have heard is that the anime is worse than the manga. So if I think the manga is bad, then I can make the assumption that the anime is even worse.

I'm usually open minded and have watch/read loads of manga. I can make a fairly good judgement for myself what's good and what's not. Love Hina isn't one of em. What even piss me off more is "How brillient Ken Akamatsu" is or "This is the BEST series EVER!!!". That's not true to my to my eyes.

Ranks mean crap like HellKorn said. And as I said before it was rather a crude joke. I'll apoligize anyway. but next time you'll know. Don't pressure me today. I'm in a bad bad mood.

I remember that I pretended to like that show out of spite against someone else.

In hindsight, I really wasted about 600 minutes of my life.

I kinda liked it awhile back. Not too bad of a "bishoujo" (I think?) anime.

I was hooked on the manga, and the best parts are:

-When they're trapped on Para-something island (can't remember the name...)
-The last few chapters

You have to stick with series for awhile to start liking it. It doesn't pick up until about volume 6 or so. Although one of my favorite early volumes of the manga is volume 3. Probably one of the funniest ones I've ever read. XP

Although TSC is right about the overuse of perverted scenes. This series is just filled with them, and it should really be renamed to, "Watch Keitaro get pummeled a billion times by girls."

Yeah, it's overrated, but I still enjoyed it to a degree.
The characters were pretty funny and colorful, and it wasn't awful, but it did lack some substance of story.

*sigh...* and he never did get to have sex with Naru at the end of the manga. ;_;

A Shadow of Darkness
As Love Hina was one of the first things I watched when I first started to really get into anime and manga, I'm rather partial to it. I much prefer the manga over the anime though.

While it may not have much semblence of a plot in places and is pretty cliched and perverted, it's still pretty funny and a good way to just shutdown and laugh. My only real problem with it is how unneeded the last two chapters of the manga really are. You go from this serious moment that makes a perfect end to the series to something that seems repetetive, non very funny (in my opinion), and that really ruins the mood.

I'm sure they did, we just never get to see or hear about it. They do get married after all.

I could've sworn there was another Love Hina thread...Oh well! Scary_Clefairy, you're out of line! You may state your opinion, but not in such a radical manner. Watch it next time, or else I will report it. I may like Ai Yori Aoshi as well, but I like Love Hina just the same. There are some anime that I don't like but you don't see me going around bashing it.

*ahem* Sorry for that. Anyhoo, I also like Love Hina; I have volume one of the manga, volume 1 of the anime, the Xmas special, Spring special, and Again. There's one thing about this anime that I can never get over; the fact that me and Keitaro are pretty much the same (except when it comes to women).

I agree, it would have made a better H series... but then Akamatsu would have to learn to draw breasts that don't have locks of hair pasted to them.

I haven't seen the entire series so far(only about half), but I do own all 14 volumes of the manga. I don't know about anyone else, but I did find the manga more enjoyable...

As I said before, I was joking around (a little harsh it may seem but a joke neverless). Like HK said, Internet = serious business

Even so, it's still unnecessary to go into a thread about a show and call it "trash" while questioning how anyone could like it. Bashing is bashing, even if it is "just a joke."

Ok, but watch it next time.

The manga is more subtle than the anime, I'll admit, but still the fact remains that the anime is good for the characters and gave us a couple of other good characters. In the anime we have more character changes while in the anime there's barely enough of it.

Damm there on to me.... No seriously I don't watch it for that reason, mainly the fact that Keitaro get's beat up almost ever episode.

At least if one thing that Akamatsu has going for them is that his art is smooth, clean, and easy on the eyes. Since that's all that matters for a hentai manga nowadays... Otherwise I'll stay away from any series, be they anime or manga, that have his name on it in some fashion.

If Love Hina was a complete parody or didn't take itself seriously at all, then I could at least say that Akamatsu did what he set out to do.
Otherwise, it takes too many things from other anime/manga series and just replicates them badly... And since you've read the entire series, then I surmise that you know of what I'm referring to.

Akira friggin' blows. Why it's held on this pedestal as being this great achievement in the history of anime is something I'll never understand. It's boring as hell, it has the worst soundtrack I've ever heard in ANY movie, and the vast majority of the violence is really overdone and seems to only be there just to make the movie more "edgy" and "cool." The movie doesn't have any memorable characters at all (the only reason I can remember Tetsuo's and Kanada's names is because they scream it to each other so much) and the movie's pacing makes //hack.sign look like it has A.D.D.

It does have some amazing animation, but other than that I can't get any enjoyment out of the damn thing.

Unless I'm missing something, hypocrisy is cool. Don't you agree?
