I like it since it's a Steel-Type Pokémon, but since it doesn't look "Cool" enough, meh... It's average for me. :/

I'm a fair fan of Steelix. It's certainly an improvement on Onix, it's a Steel type, it looks plain badas and it overall has decent stats. Although base 85 Attack is kinda low for a big Iron Snake IMO.

lol Steelix is awesome and you all know it. Tbh, out of all the Johto Pokémon, nearly all of which are exceedingly awesome(bar a select few, such as Umbreon and Shuckle), Steelix is probably one of my very favorites. Steel is my second favorite Element, and Steelix is more than worthy of being a Steel Type. Everything about it is cool. Movepool, appearance, background data.....Yes. Steelix is win :<

^Exactly what he said. Minus the homo part because skarm is still cool.

Steelix is class though. Has much better defence than skarm, can phaze, can hurt things with a STABbed EQ, immune to electric moves and poison moves and thus immune to toxic and thunder wave, flying resist, normal resist, steel resist, rock resist, psychic resist, dark resist and bug resist.

It really is too cool. Eat that skarmory.

Levitating Steelix would be awesome; just get something else for Fighting types. Levitating Steelix and Salamence/Weezing covers every physical threat in the game I think
