Terror of Death
Ok so this is my first fic. Feel free to be as harsh as you want. I encourage and accept any criticism so go right ahead.

Prologue
The psychic pokemon lashed out with a psywave knocking down the group of scientists that were examining him. The purple catlike pokemon began to float out of the room when a siren suddenly went off and lights began flashing rapidly. It proceeded down the hallway when a group of scientists and men in black clothing blocked its path. They quickly let out their pokemon, all Zubats, Geodudes, and Magnetons.

In one sweep of its hand, the psychic Pokemon knocked its foes away effortlessly. Floating past the unconcious bodies, it was nearly at the exit. The Pokemon than stopped when he heard a voice from behind him.

"Stop Mewtwo!" Mewtwo turned to see a bald man on top of a Rapidash. Mewtwo was about to use Psychic but a shrill sound rang in his head. It was too powerful even for the mighty Mewtwo to handle. The Pokemon fell to the ground panting before passing out.

Blaine, the scientist who had stopped him, hopped off his Rapidash calmly towards Mewtwo. In his hand was a small remote that had caused the noise to disable the psychic pokemon. Blaine pulled out a needle and extracted a large vial of blood from the Pokemon, storing it in his lab coat.

"We'll have to stop that from happening again." He said with a frown. As for the vial, Blaine decided he'd keep it secret from the rest of the organization.

Vs. Growlithe!

3 Years Later
It was a chilly morning on Cinnabar Island and very few people were out and about. One of the few was a twelve year old boy, Warren, and his Growlithe, Lithy. The boy was scrawny for his age and his large orange shirt and green pants made him look even smaller. The boy's hood was on, hiding the boy's messy hair from view.

The pair finally arrived at their destination, the Cinnabar Gym. Warren crossed his fingers and walked through the gym doors, his Growlithe following at his heels. The boy was immediatly greeted by the doorkeep of the gym.

"Good morning, Warren." the man said with a smile.

" 'morning sir. Is Blaine here?" Warren asked the man hopefully.

"Nope." The man replied casually.

"Do you know when he'll be back?" Warren questioned the man as Lithy began chasing a fly.

"You know I don't." The man saw the boy's despair at hearing this once again. "I'm sure that he'll be back soon though."

Warren left on this remark and Lithy gave up on capturing the fly and followed his trainer out the door. The boy continued to wonder where Blaine might be, he had not seen him for over a month and Warren was beginning to worry. Blaine had been his mentor while he was there and was even the person who gave him his first and only Pokemon, Growlithe. His parents were worried about Warren being associated with Blaine because of the man's past with Team Rocket but seeing Warren happy ceased their worries.

As Warren was walking by, a boat pulled up on the side of the island. The boy quickly went to see who it was, lately there were no visitors to the island and was excited for anything that might end his boredom. When he walked up to the boat two men popped out, one a sailor and another who's face he had learned from Blaine. The second person was none other than Bill, the creator of the Pokemon Storage System. The two ran right past him in the direction of a Pokemon Center.

"Come on Lithy, lets see what they're up to." Warren turned around to find the dog Pokemon no longer behind him but travelling up the ramp onto the boat. "Lithy, come back here."

The Growlithe was already in the boat though, and didnt hear his authors plea. Warren chased after his Pokemon into the boat nearly knocking over the middleaged couple who were near the entrance. The boy looked frantically down the hall for Lithy to no avail. Warren then spotted pawprints leading down the hallway. After apologizing to the couple, he followed the pawprints down the hall.

The prints eventually led to a storage room with the door ajar. Inside was Lithy sniffing his own shadow. Seeing his partner.\, the Growlithe let out a happy bark and jumped into its trainers arms. Almost immediatey after the two touched, the boat lurched forward.

Warren went flying into the door, closing it and operating its automatic lock. He quickly looked for Growlithe but once again the dog was lost. Warren heard a whimper and realized he was sitting on the dog pokemon.

"There you are."The boy picked up the Growlithe and held him firmly.

He was about to cry for help but then a thought popped into his head. This could be his ONLY chance to leave the island. He remembered listening to Blaine telling his adventures and Warren longing to go on his own one day. Warren decided to stay quiet, opened the porthole for some fresh air, and sat down.

Warren was beginning to drift into sleep when he saw something in the corner of his eyes. The boy thought it was just his imagination but suddenly Lithy stood up fur on end, uttering low growls.

"Come out, whatever you are" Warren called into the darkness.

A figure came out from behind the boxes and moved into the light. It was an orange and green color with tentacles for arms, In the center of its chest was an orb of some kind, glowing green. Warren had bever seen or heard of a Pokemon like this before, not even from Blaine.

Lithy began to whimper in fear as the creature advanced towards them. Warren stroked the dog's fur to keep him calm, but he began to shake even more. When the creature was withing five feet of them, Lithy jumped from Warren's arms directly out the porthole. Warren cried out as he heard a splash from outside. Knowing the weakness Lithy had to water, Warren dived through the porthole after his companion into the cold, blue water.....

Ouch. Not one reply. That aint good. All well... Ill still post chapters til I get some. Well heres the second chapter.

Vs. Slowpoke!

Warren dove into the dark, blue water and was quickly overcome by its coldness. He continued going deeper towards the air bubbles that were rising towards the surface. Finally the figure of Lithy came into view. The puppy Pokemon was unconscious when Warren grabbed him.

By now Warren was long since out of air and he was beginning to see spots. Retreiving Lithy into it's pokeball, Warren tried to swim up to the surface. But the lack of air was taking its toll on Warren, and the boy found it hard to kick his legs. Warren was beginning to fade out of conciousness when something came up beneath him pushing him towards the surface.

The boy gasped for air as he broke through the surface and after a few minutes of coughing up water looked around at his surroundings. He was on a bumpy pink raft that seemed to be making it's way against the current. In the far distance, Warren could see the cruise liner moving further and further away.

Warren took out his pokeball to check the condition of Lithy. The Growlithe looked worn out but it had at least regained its conciousness. Seeing enough room on the raft, he released Lithy. Almost immediately after he was let out, he shook himself, spraying more water onto the already drenched boy. Warren didnt care and grabbed the dog, holding him close.

The raft began to shake and Warren was terrified when it began to break apart into smaller pink lumps, The lumps rose above the water, revealing to be a herd of Slowpokes. His own lump began to rise showing an equally oblivious Slowpoke. They pink pokemon were all incredibly syncronized despite all the facts proving the species stupidity.

Looking closer at the Slowpokes, he realized that none of them at all had a tail, just a small rough stump that looked as if it had been made by a bad hacksaw. He wondered who could have done something so horrible to the creatures.

The Slowpokes moved on, apparently unaware of the travellers on their back. It wasn't long before Warren saw land in the distance, His heart skipped a beat as he wondered what he would do once he made it to the mainland. As they neared the land, Warren was shaking with excitement so badly that he almost fell off his Slowpoke more than once.

They were less than a mile from shore when the water became unusually rough, making the Slowpoke's attempts useless. Warren held on tighter to his Slowpoke, in fear of being thrown off.

Without any warning, large grey tentacles came up from under the surface grabbing one of the Slowpoke in the front. The pokemon didnt even realize what was happening and its legs continued moving as if it was still wading through the water. The tentacles leaned back, then threw the Slowpoke far into the sea.

The attacker surfaced, revealing itself to be a Tentacruel. Rising up beside him were several smaller jellyfish, which Warren recognized to be Tentacool. The gang of jellyfish then began their onslaught on the Slowpoke with a group acid attack. The Slowpoke sat their through the attack and Warren thought they might not have even noticed the attacks. Suddenly, the whole team surged forward, tackling the jellfish.

While the Tentacool were having trouble with the Slowpoke, the Tentacruel easily fended them off, chucking each one into the sea. When all the Slowpoke that were attacking it were gone, the Tentacuel noticed Warren. Its tentacles lashed out, tearing Warren away from Lithy and his Slowpoke.

The tentacles constricted around the Warren, and the boy cried out. His Growlithe barked threateningly, but the Tentacruel took no notice. The Tentacruel tightened its grip and Warren was afraid his ribs might crack under the pressure. To his surprise, the Tentacruel loosened it grip. The boy looked at it and saw it surrounded by a pink aura. Down in the water, the Slowpoke had beaten the Tentacool and were now all using confusin on their remaining enemy. In the front was Lithy on his Slowpoke, barking in encouragement.

The Tentacruel had now lost all of it hold on Warren and the boy fell through the air. Before he hit, a warm sensation came over him as a pink aura covered his body. The Slowpoke used their powers to float him through the air and place him on top of his Slowpoke.

The Slowpoke were begining to tire and their hold on the Tentacruel weakened. After a few seconds, the Tentacruel was able to break out of its bind. It began to back away and Warren thought it was retreating. It went a few yards than stopped and fired a hydropump towards the center of the Slowpoke.

The blast caused enormous waves in all directions sending the Slowpoke flying backwards. It was then when Warren realized why the Tentacruel had moved, it wasnt retreating it was making sure it wouldnt be hit by the aftermath of its attack.

Warren and Lithy braced for the wave as it came surging towards them. The wave hit and Warren, Lithy, and the Slowpoke were all submerged underwater. The current caused by the hydropump held them underwater for a few moment while moving them along with it. When the Slowpoke surfaced they were just a few feet away from a long sandy beach.

Lithy and Warren jumped off to the Slowpoke into the shallow waters while the Slowpoke followed. The boy threw himself onto the land glad to finally be back on it again. Warren looked up and saw the Slowpoke's oblivious face a few inches from his. For a few seconds the two stared at each other before the Slowpoke tilted its head to the side.

"Thanks." Warren said, standing up and brushing the sand off him.The Slowpoke just stared back without making a movement. "Come on Lithy."

Warren turned his back on the Slowpoke and he and Lithy began walking up the beach. He had only walked a few feet when something slammed into his back making him topple to the ground. He looked back and saw the Slowpoke right behind him.

"What!?"Warren snapped at the tailless pokemon. The Slowpoke looked at Warren, then at his Growlithe, and then the pokeball on his belt. It took a few moments for Warren to get what the pokemon wanted." I can't take you with me. this is the only pokeball I have and its taken."

About to turn his back on it again, the Slowpoke ran up to Warren and as he walked it followed at its side.

"Fine, you can come along. Ill get you your own ball as soon as i can." Warren gave in and Lithy barked happily for his first companion. The three walked up the beach eager for what may await them on the mainland.

Ouch still no replies. It may seem like a generic piece of writing now but in the next few chapters a plot will be able to develop

Vs. Steelix!

Warren arrived in Pallet town with Lithy, his Growlithe, and his new Slowpoke, Poked loping besides him.The town was small, only a handful of houses and one large building. As he walked through the town, people pointed and stared at the tailless Slowpoke. The Slowpoke was oblivious to the pointing but Warren was struggling not to tell them to back off. Warren heard laughter coming from behind him and turned to see a group of boys snickering.

"Look at it waddle!" A boy who Warren assumed to be the leader of the group laughed. Warren turned around and continued walking down the street. A rock whizzed over Warren's shoulder narrowly missing Poked's head. Warren spun around furiously to face the boy as he said "Damn I missed."

"Whats your problem!" Warren yelled angrily at the boy who just stood there with a smirk. The boy threw another larger stone at the Slowpoke just as Warren cried out to Lithy. The stone hit Poked just as Lithy tackled the boy. The boy whimpered as the the Growlithe was on his chest snarling.

"Now get up and leave now. Stay and I might not be ably to control him much longer. Then theres no telling what he'll do." The boy nodded frantically before Lithy hopped off and became his usual playful manner. The boy scampered off with his friends following after him.

Warren figured he should leave in the event the boys should come back. The boy was walking past the largest building when he saw the sign "Oak's Pokemon Lab". Curious, he tried the doorknob and found it unlocked. With Poked and Lithy following, Warren went into the lab.

The lab was enormous, with bookshelves lining the walls and a healing machine and PC at the far end.. It was empty, and Warren was going to leave when he saw Lithy and Poked both wandering toward the end of the lab. He figured he could wait around until someone came back.

Warren was examining the books on the shelves, while Lithy and Poked examined the rest of the lab. The boy found a book that looked a little more interesting than ither, "Legends of the Present and Past." He flipped through the pages, looking at each one quickly before flipping to the next. When he was going through, something caught his eye. He flipped back a few pages and saw a large brown dog with flames drawn behind it. Warren read the passage underneath to see that the creature was called Entei, the Legendary dog of Flames.

The picture had Warren in a trance until Lithy's bark broke through to him, snapping him back to reality. He looked up and saw his dog pokemon scratching and barking at a door Warren hadn't noticed before. Picking up Poked, who was walking into a wall, and opened the door.

The room was was also covered in shelves full of Pokeballs. Pushing its trainer out of its way, Lithy ran into the room and began sniffing the numerous Pokeballs. Warren looked into the Pokeballs seeing so many types he had never heard of or seen before. He felt something tugging on his leg and saw Lithy pawing him with a Pokeball in his mouth.

"Don't do that!!!" Warren yelled carefully grabbing the Pokeball of a particular mean looking Pokemon and Placing it back on the shelf.

There were three shelves in the room, the ones marked 1-151 and 151-251 were nearly full but the third row was nearly empty. He felt it hard to believe there were so many types of Pokemon out there. He wondered whether even Blaine knew about them all.

When he came across a Pokeball holding a Slowpoke, he remembered his own and went off to find it. Warren found Poked on the second aisle with a Pokeball balanced on its nose.

"Don't move" Warren said to the Slowpoke as he crept towards the Pokemon carefully. He was only a few feet away when Poke tilted his head to the side causing the Pokeball to fall. The instant the ball hit the ground a light flashed and the ball opened.

Towering above them was an enormous steel snake with its mouth gaping wide. Warren recognized it as Steelix, one of the rare steel types Blaine had taught him about. The Steelix lunged towards him and Poked. He grabbed Poked and hopped out of the way running into the first room. Steelix followed into the room knocking down the book shelves.

Seeing his trainer in trouble, Lithy sprinted into the room and stood besides his trainer. Warren knew that Steel was weak to fire but Lithy seemed to be much weaker than the creature that stood in front of him. Nevertheless, Warren called Lithy forward to attack.

The Steelix rushed forward with a bite and Lithy and Warren split up, Poked still under his arm. Steelix turned to focus on Lithy and the dog bravely stood tall. Warren ordered a ember as Steelix reared back to attack. The ember just barely shocked the steel snake and it still continued its attack. At his trainers order, the Growlithe dodged the attack and launched another ember with the same results as the last.

Lithy kept jumping around, dodging each attack while countering with an ember while Warren struggled to think up a way to defeat the Steelix. Fire attacks were the only weakness he knew about the steel type and he wasn't going to trust Poked witht his battle, especially since he wasn't fully under his control. He just needed a stronger fire attack than ember to attack with.

Warren then remembered a time he had been trading with Blaine in the Cinnabar Mansion. Blaine was having him battle a wild Grimer that seemed to absorb all the attacks Lithy threw at it. Grimer was about to attack a worn out Lithy when an enormous ball of fire came hurtling through the air hitting the Grimer directly. the flame instantly knocked out the Grimer and Warren looked at Blaine and his Rapidash in amazement.

"What was that?!" Warren had cried out in astonishment.

"That was a Fire Blast. Its the signature move of all my Pokemon, much stronger than both ember and flamethrower." Blaine said with a snicker.

"How do I learn it?" Warren asked, now excited.

"Give me Lithy." Blaine ordered fumbling through his pocket as Warren did what he was told. Warren laid down the Growlithe on the ground in front of Blaine and the gymleader knelt down to the ground pulling a red disk out of his pocket.

"Normally I only give this to people who have earned my badge but I ll make an exception for my only pupil."Blaine pressed the disk against Lithy and both the Pokemon and the disk began to glow....

Finally remembering the name of his attack, Warren ordered a fire blast. A large beam of fire burst from Lithy's mouth, directly hitting the Steelix. This attack had a large toll on the creature causing it to fall to the ground.

Warren picked up Lithy in rejoice, glad to have beaten the Steelix. Their joy was short lived when the Steelix rose, as if it hadnt fought at all. It swung its tail toward them and Warren braced for the impact that would surely kill him.

Just as the tail was about to hit him, a large blast of water erupted from behind him, knocking the Steelix out in one hit. Warren turned to see a boy with a green frog standing beside him....

I think this is really good, although I'm not really sure what's going to happen...but it's really detailed, and your choice of pokemon is really interesting. Plus the Slowpoke were a cool addition.
