Ludicolo

Concrete

Corrupt Sovereign
I'd like to use this Ludicolo in 2v2 battles, paired with Kyogre on GBA. Is this a good EV set for Ludicolo?

Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 166 HP / 255 Def / 89 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

we could helped better if you posted the moveset.

Concrete

Corrupt Sovereign
Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Giga Drain, Toxic

Also I've only managed to breed a max stat Lotad with a Modest nature. Any thing I can do with that EV wise?

Modest is usually the best nature you can get on a SpSweeper =/

92 SpAtk Ev's OHKO's CBquaza on the switch
148 Hp Ev's get you 338 which lives through 4 Seismic tosses with lefties.
88 Spd Ev's equal 198 speed.
And put the rest in defences.

Follow Lie's advice. Seems good and reasonable.

Ya might want Rain Dish on that Ludicolo. Use Surf instead of Hydro Pump. Follow Lie's advice. Then you should have a pretty sweet Ludicolo.

The trait depends on what you want to use it for. Swift Swim for a sweeper, Rain Dish for a staller. But yeah, Hydro Pump is vastly inferior to Surf, which has three times the PP, hits both foes and is 20% more accurate while losing only 25 power. Enough said. Plus Surf has the obvious out-of-battle use.

No. In 2vs2, Hydro Pump (Or Waterfall if you want the accuracy) is infinitely better than Surf. Surf's attack power gets split for each Pokemon it hits. What would you rather have- 120 attack power or 47.5?

Also, you shouldn't put moves on competitive Pokemon depending on how useful they are in the overworld.
