tru i agree, lugia can do better than that, its sp.attack isnt super high, its more of a defensive poke, psychic is better 4 lugia. but alakazam w/psycho boost, ooooooo would be interesting

I like psycho boost on my lugia. Give it protect to waste the opponent's pp with pressure, then recover to restore health, and Aeroblast for super strong flying STAB move, and Psycho Boost for uber strong Psychic power! Give it a white herb and it restores its stats. But because of Lugia's good defensive capabilities, you don't need to worry about damaging the opponent when they're out of pp.
And I'm like the tenth person to say this, but a purified Lugia from XD knows Psycho Boost, Earthquake, Featherdance, and Hydro pump. Sounds like a moveset a 6 year old would give it. >_>

I wouldnt automatically call it rubbish. Attack Deoxys with Psychoboost and Choice specs hurts alot, and leaf storm is a somewhat viable option on torterra... somewhat...
Overheat style moves, for me, work in game, but not when you're playing against someone else.
The games are really easy compared to some of the people you come up against in the real world, and battles tend to last longer, so I find it's better to have safer moves like psychic or flamethrower.

But you have to admit that on Lugia that it's pretty much useless. Mine is a tank of doomage and most Lugias in general are... and you can't really blame everyone for using Lugia as a tank.
