Magic is awesome. I just wanted to point that out. So...Anyone have any holo rares? I have a holo Thorn Elemental.

I've been playing since the days of Alpha. I have some cards people would kill for, including a friend I like to call...Ancesteral Recall. "Draw three cards or force opponent to draw three cards." All of that for a single blue mana.

You have to love those old cards, it's unfortunate that some of the older have been updated and now cost more.

I played MtG (in a serious way - buying booster packs, playing tons of people, etc) years ago. ALL of my cards are too old to use now though. I am still using Tempest cards and stuff in my decks I play friends/brother with... XD I don't play competively anymore so I just have a few old decks of mine laying around, and a few pre-sets I bought a few years ago for fun against some people (just to have something to play while in the Navy - seemed to be a ton of MtG players there...). I don't know where the bulk of my cards are now (somewhere in the basement in a box I'm sure), so I have like a small stack of cards sitting with my decks in the dining room. I was playing cards over the weekend, so I had those out - they usually sit on my computer desk.

Now that I am out of the Navy though, I plan on playing more. My brother is in to it now too, so it looks like I will buy a pre-set deck and a few boosters to have some up to date ones to use again. *shrug* I still love the game - I just wish I could afford to spend lots of money on cards like I used to.
