I was talking to a friend the other night, when something we both desired came into the conversation - an animé for PokéSpecial.

As we all know, this obviously isn't going to happen any time soon, but I've been thinking - what if we _made_ an "animé" for it ourselves?

We'd get people who can draw, animate it in Flash, and have people do voices. She suggested we do the voices first, like a radio drama then have the animation and drawing done. So I guess this is calling out to all the voice actors, animators, and artists out there - we'd like you!

I figured an episode would be like a normal animé episode, expect much shorter.

We figured some possible opening themes-

Mezase Pokemon Masutaa -- RGB
Raibaru -- Yellow
OK! -- GS
Aratanaru Chikai -- Crystal
READY, GO -- GSC
ADVANCE ADVENTURE -- RS
BATTLE FRONTIER -- Emerald

TOGETHER -- DP

I was going to do somthing similar, and selfcast Sapphire..
I MIGHT be able to pull off Crys..

I think it would be pretty difficult to pull it off... At least, to make it decent, that is.

Well, it'll be a difficult project with the animation and stuff... But I'd love to audition for a voice! Unfortunately, I can't record any dialogue at the moment since I'm at my grandma's house. >_>;;

I'd rather just have them silent and with captions. That way, there would be no bad voice acting, and it would require a lot less work.

Even making their mouths flap would be good, so long as there are no voices...

Animation is a fine idea, but merely inviting random people to do the voice acting? I'm not trying to be mean... but... anyone consider themselves to have a clean, pure voice? (btw, nearly all of the anime chracterse are voiced by girls, so sry to the guys...)

"Nearly all anime characters"? Say what now? Typically, only female roles and pre-puberty boys are voiced by women, just like in English animation. Men and deeper voiced teenage boys would be voiced by men. *nods head*

I personally hate my voice but people tell me I have a good one. o.o And I can also appearantly do several different tones... Bah.

Anyway, I'll just repeat what I said on BMG. If I ever get a microphone, I'll audition. Maybe for Pokémon... I'll do whatever grunt work you need as long as it has nothing to do with animation. Although I have no idea what that could be. Maybe proofreading? *shrugs* I would like to help, but I have no real techno skills, so... ;P

I'd love to voice someone. However before worrying about voices you should think about getting Artists,People who can make the "anime" so to speak.

That's my point exactly. If someone really does take up that task, they will need to work really hard on it and make sure to get things done correctly. I think it might be best if a team works on it rather than have one person animate, write, direct, etc., while the only other people who participate are voice actors.

I'll be able to help with voices, and maybe with the animation, I'm an alright artist, I could also help with the script. And I've finished school for the year, so I have tons of free time!
Anyway, this is a splendid idea! I'd love to see it happen!

Grimsg, you HAVE to be a part of this - I'd cry if you didn't.

As for everyone else - my partner and I decided we'd make the artists all draw one scene - and we'd choose the best ones. We haven't decided on what scene yet, but I'll get back to everyone ASAP....

THat sounds like an interesting idea, but I also do think that it does sound like it would take a long time to do. People tell me that I have a nice voice, but I personally do not like mine.

10 minutes per episode is good, maybe we could split them in parts, like having two chapters per episode?

And Colloseum/XD anime is a great idea too. It's a same they never did a manga on it.

And what about endings? Will we bother with them or leave the endings blank?

You mean with the manga characters? That actually sounds like a good idea, but it's really up to the people who came up with this project.
