I hope this is alright for my first RP here. I'm a vet at this kinda stuff; just not at this board. If anything should be changed, as far as this thread goes, let me know

-Plotline-
200 years into the future, the world is in ruin. Cities have been destroyed, and wars rage in the now barren streets of America. Malevolent "demons" have appeared from tears in reality caused by an overexposure of the magical essence, "Chroma", to the world's dimension. "Chroma" is a power latent in all humans, but only noticible in less than 0.01% of all of them.
Humans now live en masse in protected domes that offer heat, light, food and places to sleep and live. No one dares leave the dome, lest they get killed by these "Shadow Demons", they are called.
However, for some odd reason, there seems to be a concentration of Chroma enhanced people within one specific dome in New York. Perhaps they will join forces, and use this power to oust the forces that ravaged mankind.

-What is Chroma?-
Chroma is a magical essence that resides in all humans. When it is exposed and used by humans, it takes a physical form as an augmentation of the body. For example, someone's Chroma power may be a sword like appendage jutting from their arm, or a propultion device, like a gun, that can fire off Chroma "bullets". At any rate, those with Chroma are not elemental wizards, throwing fireballs and calling down bolts of thunder. It is all purely physical.

-Where do we start?-
Inside a specific dome in New York. There is a sign posted outisde a door in one of the living quarters of this synthetic city stating "Chroma Adepts Come Here". the "adepts" part, meaning anyone who can project their Chroma as weapons, as stated before.

-What are we fighting?-
Shadow demons made purely from Chroma energies, released in an alternate dimension, and given form and life. They are here because of the recent surge in Chroma users. Our feeble, non-magical dimension cannot hold the bounds of Chroma on humans easily, and thus, tore, spilling these beasts into our world. They must be stopped. Somehow.

Physical Description: Standing about 5 foot 11, Shane keeps dressed in his grey hoodie and baggy blue jeans. His unkempt long brown hair shags in his eyes, and matches the stubble on his face. His green eyes always seem tired to people.
Personality: He's quiet; keeps to himself, mostly. When he gets to know people, he tends to be nicer, but since this whole scenario with the demons occured, he became a bit more tense.
History: 20 years ago, when the demons attacked, Shane was just a normal child when he was forcibly moved into the Dome with his parents. Unfortunately, due to population restraints, his parents had to be moved to a different Dome in the the Midwest, while he now lives by himself. He became aware of his unique Chroma prowess when he once got very angry. He noticed his skin on his right arm turn hard, grey, and metallic. Ever since, he kept on focusing on it, until he perfected this skill. Now he thinks that if he finds more people like him, humans will stand a fighting chance against the demons that plague the earth.
Chroma weapon: When he concentrates, he can turn his arm into a metallic, grey cylinder. Upon tensing up his muscles in his shoulder, the "gun" can fire a bullet of Chroma that will penetrate the enemy. Atop the cylinder, another aparatus rested, which could be lengthend into a small blade for close combat fighting.

-Now what?-
Post your characters, and join the fight to save mankind with your Chroma of course.

[The Burnt Shadow]

Name: Summer Rizal
Age: 29 (physically) 35(chronologically)
Gender: male
Physical description: Summer is a big fan of the color black. He wears a black cloak around his body, a black hood over his face and black gloves and boots. His eyes are colored ruby red and his long rosy red hair reaches up to his waist line. The form of his hair on his head, tend to be a little sharper than the rest of his hair. He wears silver metal chackels around his wrists and a thinner and lighter one around his neck. He is ussually seen with a dull and blank expression on his face, but when he gets his way you'll see him have a small smirk. Under all his clothes lie several dried battle scars. Finally, he wears a blood smeared wedding ring on his right hand. This wedding ring obviously indicates that he was married, but he doesn't like to talk about it.

Personality: Summer is a grim and cold figure. No matter who you are, he would deliver the same cold and sarcastic tone. He doesn't like joining groups or teams and prefers to do things himself. He especially dislikes people who boss him around or who thinks that they're superior to others. But even though he's harsh, he's quiet and calm. He isn't really into jokes and doesn't really like to try one, unless it was a sarcastic commen. If you make him mad, he'll just turn away, if you annoy and anger him he'll just reply, if you comment about his wedding ring or make a little joke about it, he'll definitely hurt you. He follows one principle in life. The first one is," I'll stay out of your personal life if you stay out of mine."

Even though he has a cold exterior, he is quite a drama king. He is in tune with his feelings and can understand how people feel. He doesn't talk about it, unless you actually decide to come up and ask for a bit of help. Even though he's emotional, he doesn't shed a tear or show much emotion. An extra fact about him, is that he's an expressionist painter. He would prefer expressing his feelings through paper or a canvas. Overall he's a harsh, cold and sarcastic man who prefers to be a lone wolf. But underneath the exterior of negativity is a soft and fragile light that awaits to be opened by someone with patience, understanding and maybe even love.

History: About some years ago, when the demons attacked, Summer was only at the age of twenty seven. He was a scientist working for his boss, a beautiful and attractive female woman. Summer had fallen madly in love with her and wanted to propose to her, but he was unable to. Sadly his rival was the first one and was soon married to her. Discouraged by unable to marry his beloved, he quit his job and worked for another corporation working on a magical esensce known as Chroma. Unfortunately his experiments were ussually failures and was only noticed as a sub scientist by his co-workers. One day he heard that there was a paroxysm by demons made out of Chroma.

Several people had died, but among the people who survived was his own beloved. Summer knew that his rival was dead and it may also be a good oppurtunity for him to regain his beloved. So in an ER, Summer did an experiment. He knew that Chroma was a magical substance, so maybe if he changed her properties to Chroma, she might have a chance of living. She was unconscious at this time. He worked tiredlessly, when he was about to test if his experiment had worked, the demons had attacked and killed his beloved. He was also left trapped under te building for four years. During those four years he realized he had the ability to use his chroma as a weapon. Unfortunately he was unable to control it.

He developed restrainers to help him concentrate his chroma. Unfortunately, he had another problem. He was unable to change his appearance or grow. Due to the attack, the chroma did something else to him. His body's skin was nearly torn apart by the attack, so the chroma created him new flesh and formed his appearance to the age of twenty nine. He can't change his appearance or look any older. Angered by the demons attack on his beloved and on what they did to him. As soon as he reached the age of thirty five, he changed his name to Summer Rizal and now carries his engagement ring. His sir name, is unknown.


Description of your Chroma: the chackles around him are mean to keep his chroma under control. Due to the complex chroma that was injected in him, he has very little control on his weapons. Anyway, by focusing his mind, his hands could transmute into long, sharp and flexible talons, able to slice some of the toughest metals. Another one is in his back. By focusing, he could spread out metal bird like wings with sharp light metallic feathers.

Name: R Bowen
Age: 21
Gender: Male

Physical Description: Quite tall, white skin slightly tanned from sun. Dark brown hair and always wears dark glasses to hide his eyes. He often wears jeans, a white t-shirt and a black jacket over that. His apperance is often seen as intimidating but is actually quite a caring person.

Personality: R has been said to have a very violent nature, though has the ability to stay calm and think logically about the situation. He is quite scared of these "demons" but will do what he has to to survive. He often uses humour to avoid violence but if annoyed will often attack visously.

History: Most is unknown and only close freinds know his name yet in public still refer to him as 'R'. It is thought maybe someone is trying to kill him and so he wishes not to reveal his identity.

Description of your Chroma weapon: His arms can turn into large blades which he can then violently slash at people with them. He also has devolped a way to transfer Chroma to his muscles giving him temporal super strength and agilty.

EDIT: Question, does this have anything to with pokemon? lol
