Mantine good or not good?

I have been waiting to post this for a long time,IYO is mantine a good pokemon or not,if not tell me why,if so tell me why!

Mantine isn't too bad of a pokemon. It's best feature is its special defense, so it's a pretty good special wall(except for electric). Even at that, it may even survive an unstabbed electric attack. I think Mantine is most effective in battle as a Swift Swimmer.

Haze, Surf and Ice Beam are the main moves you should be using on it. :\ Its special attack isn't THAT bad, but its still made to be a special wall. It will switch in special attacks or stat-boosting moves, not sweep.

BTW, Calm Mantine with good EVs can take a Thunderbolt, IIRC. Oh, and why they gave it such a good physical movepool with an amazing Attack stat to back up, I will never know.

Anyways, I think it's average.

Quite nice Pokémon. In my most recent Colosseum File, I gave Mantine a go. It's a quite capable battler in a few ways. Takes Special Attacks as if they were nothing. The SA is decent to cause a dent when possible. Plus, it's a quite annoying and a good supporter. I like the Swift Swimmer...

I love Mantine. It's cool loking, has decent stats, and can have one of two abilities that ROCK!!!
IMO HP Special for In-game (ONLY in-game) is good.

It's my favorite of the Four Water/Flying Types.

And remember, stat-wise, it is the counterpart of skarmory

Oye, I adore Mantine. I hate that iti's Water/Flying, too, that's what killed it. If it were pure Water, I could see a Manmory combo being Standard .

Anyway, I wish it were pure Water because Water has less weaknesses than Water/Flying. Not to mention, Mantine would live through msot Boltbeams it encounters with just a 2x. Now it's lucky to survive the weakest of Thunderbolts, which is a dark shame. It was meant to be in conjunction with Skarm(just look at their Stats, it's just Special and Physical swapped). But being Part Flying, as opposed to the blessing it was for Skarmory, killed it.

I still like Mantine, though. Very nice Special Defense and decent Special Attack. Still baffles me why they gave it such an astounding Physical movepool, though, with that 00berific Base 40 Attack. Seems like some sort of Charizard parody D= Come to think of it, the two are really alike. Outlcased by their counterparts, blessed with excellent Physical movepools but low Attack to use them, tiny Special movepools to laugh at good Sp. Attack, and both were destroyed by being part Flying. Wow, how can one of my favorite Pokémon be so similar to one of my least favorites? Irony is like that, sometimes =/

So, I'd say its average.

Well, its Attack is worse than a Wurmple's, but overall, it's a decent Pokemon. I thought it's HP would be higher, though. It's special defense is its main point, so utilize that and it will be a force to be reconed (sp?) with.

Preety good. It's a good combo and I trained it really well, so my mantine now rivals my legendaries.

It is pretty good at can take a few good hits so i'd say it is good

 

[Dark Venusaur]

Its average because it doesnot have to worry about grass being its weakness. It now has to worry about Electricty moes but I heared it has a good Sp.Def and it also has to worry about rock type moves

I think Mantine is a peice of sh!t

Looks bad, has a 4x weakness, but has good Sp. Defence. As much as I dislike it, I must grudgingly respect its ability to survive my Starmie's Thunderbolt. >>:

I think Mantine is good and it is a good competition for:
magneton
Absol
Skarmory
Stantler
Forretress
Mantine is of similar strengnth to all of the above so if you think they are good, Manyine is good for you.
