Best example is the Sinnoh League episode, where we saw Glalie, Torkoal, Donphan (not sure if all their VAs were listed, but I remember Donphan's VA wasn't listed but we saw it anyway).

After the ruins episode, I'm really annoyed this follows it.
I guess the silver lining is Ash didn't go to his house, and he's playing background character.
