Satoshi had gone to the marketplace to shop when he ran into a group of the "Teamwork Pokémon" Nagetukesaru. It appears that groups of Nagetukesaru living on different islands have started arguing, and are now fighting over who will be the boss of the entire flock. The group Satoshi met lives on one of the islands that lost, and when he looks at them, he feels he can't just ignore them, so he does his best to cheer them on.

-----

Satoshi and Pikachu are shopping at the marketplace when they meet a group of Nagetukesaru that are fighting over something. It appears there was a fight going on between the Nagetukesaru from Akala Island and the Nagetukesaru from Melemele Island over who gets to be boss, and that the ones from Melemele Island lost. When Satoshi looks at the losing Melemele Island Nagetukesaru, he decides to help them.

-----

Satoshi and the others encounter a group of fighting Nagetukesaru. It appears the Nagetukesaru from Akala Island and Melemele Island were fighting over the position as boss, and that the ones from Melemele Island lost. Satoshi tries helping the ones from Melemele Island, but.

Satoshi and the others were shopping at the market when they encountered a group of Nagetukesaru that were fighting for some reason or other. It appears there's a fight between the Nagetukesaru living on Akala Island and the Nagetukesaru living on Melemele Island over who gets to be boss, and that the Melemele ones are losing. When Satoshi saw how bitter the Melemele Island Nagetukesaru were about losing, he tries helping them.

I was expecting some episode like that because of Oranguru's appearance but at least it's nice that it's Passimian's debut. So far it seems to be filler but I'd like to see Ash and his Pokémon develop a bond with the Passimian at least.

Based on the summary, it sounds like a filler, but the title gives a slight feeling that Ash might end up catching Passimian (which is highly unlikely since he doesn't have a Fightnium Z, and Passimian would be out of nowhere).

oh Passimian would be good for Ash! Single stage pokemon seem to do very well under Ash's partnership, like Hawlucha.

Of course it could be filler with no capture, and if Ash captures it, it ruins the house pet pokemon rule I feel Ash has going, so it could go either way.

ALthough I'm curious how a bunch of Passimian are communicating from island to island.... thats scary

According to the summary, Ash will interact with a group of Passimian so I don't see that he will bond with a specific one and capture it here.

At the end of the episode, one will have taken notice of Ash, follow him as he's leaving, and want to go with him. :D

This is going to be a capture for Ash. I feel it's like Gligar & Roggenrola where he helps a group of Pokémon but 1 is obviously interested in Ash!

Satomine Night

The Power of Z!
Typical Ash, getting involved in the affairs of Pokémon because his oversized heart won't let him leave them alone.

So, finally, the debut of Passimian. Given the nature of the summary, I have a feeling this is going to be a "standard" PotD episode, but I wouldn't mind being surprised and something more interesting happen in this episode. I would love a capture, but Passimian is a Fighting type and it's highly unlikely at this point that Ash is going to get Fightinium Z, so I have my doubts that a capture will happen. I would love to be proven wrong, though.

Passimian: the new tauros ;)
That would be quite funny. :p

Yeah a capture seems extremely unlikely, but if it happens, I do think Passimian will be a decent capture since I do think it suits Ash. If Ash does get this surprising capture, it'll either mean:

1) Bye bye Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash (which I wouldn't be opposed to)
2) Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash still happens, but that means Poipole is a rehashed Nebby/Meloetta where it follows him for a while before going back to Ultra Space.

I have an idea on how Ash could get the Fightingium Z for Passimian:
Let's assume Ash catches Passimian. He then sees Hala in like 10-20 episodes. Both trainers want a "let's try our new toys out while also seeing how much you've grown since our last fight" battle so we can see Crabombinable in action while also seeing Ash & Passimian's ability to work together. Either Ash wins or Hala wins but sees his strength/progress & awards him his Fightingium Z

Unfortunately this appears to be a group Pokemon episode, and Ash wouldn't catch something that wouldn't at least be unique.

Roggenrola was separate, and Gligar was especially unique.

Ash would have to catch all the Passimian, in order for this work.

And on top of all that, I don't recall anything hinting at Passimian (not even appearance-wise), so I don't see how Ash is going to catch it.

Though the new opening/ending, might shed some light on that.

I also just realized the new intro will be in this episode. I can't seem them leaving out Passimian in the intro if it's going to get captured here, so I expect to know by the new intro, but anything can happen.

Can we please get the older, old forum back?

You know what, this kind of speculation is just overdone. If you take into account every little rule the fandom makes up, there's probably no pokémon Ash could capture. Passimian? He didn't get the Fightium Z. Poipole? It's equal to a legendary! Jangmo-o? Didn't get the Fightium Z and Gladion and Lillie faced Totem Kommo-o. Mudbray? No, because Kiawe has a farm of them. Dewpider? Nope, because Lana has the Waterium Z and Team Skull is pretty much d.o.a. in the animé, so Guzma is "highly" unlikely. Salandit? He already has Litten! Alolan Sandshrew? It's a Kanto Pokémon in a different colorscheme, Ash isn't going to catch that! Ribombee? It's too GIRLY, and Lillie will probably be the Fairy-type specialist! Drampa, Bruxish, Dhelmise, Pyukumuku, Sandyghast, Wimpod, Oranguru, Comfey, Morellul, Oricorio?! NO BECAUSE THEY ALREADY DEBUTED.

Seriously, the only real option Ash has left is Minior. Oh wait, Ash has Lycanroc as his Rock-type. Ash with a four-man squad confirmed.

There's no reason why, Passimian can't just use Breakneck Blitz, or if Ash does get the Steelium Z eventually, Corkscrew Crash if it learns Iron Head.

Oh Passimian would be good for Ash! Single stage pokemon seem to do very well under Ash's partnership, like Hawlucha.

Nah, he'll call it "Bubbles" and the pattern still works.

According to the summary, Ash will interact with a group of Passimian so I don't see that he will bond with a specific one and capture it here.

He's already focusing on a specific group. So who knows. It's not completely cut in stone at the moment whether or not this will or won't be a capture. What we do know is that Passimian wasn't in the 2018-preview, nor was it in the merchandise that showed Torracat, but that obviously happens before this episode.

Yeah a capture seems extremely unlikely, but if it happens, I do think Passimian will be a decent capture since I do think it suits Ash. If Ash does get this surprising capture, it'll either mean:

Or. A-Sandshrew will never happen AND Poipole is a rehashd Nebby and Ash ends up with Passimian and Hakamo-o, because two fighting-types are better than one (Pokémon Go-logic).

That could work, especially because Ash actually lives on Melemele and this series is adverse to traveling, similar to how he has a deeper bond with Tapu Koko than any other Tapu.

Took 25 episodes for writers to debut Passimian after Oranguru. Would like to see how Ash befriends this group of Passimian. Touchdown!
