Nothing bad about it as long as it is handled well imo. Iris haters will get to see her lose to serena anyway, so I don't see the big deal.

We don't know if she's coming back, but regardless, I'd actually like to see character development here unlike in the previous BW special which was devoid of development and practically pointless.

You opened the door for that the moment you said you didn't want to see a Fairy beat a Dragon in the Anime. It's bound to happen, the Anime isn't just going to ignore how that type mechanic works just because dragons are cool and appear so much stronger then Fairies.

Lilia (Iris) should NOT lose to Sandra (Clair), she already lost to a dragon specialist.

And she DEFINITELY should NOT lose to Serena, that would be like Ash losing to Diaz (Trip), oh, wait, he did and everybody complained because Ash has regions of experience, same goes for Lilia having more experience over Serena.

It's not that particularly, I like Iris, I just wish this episode would have aired along side Cilan's episode. This episode airing now is fine, it'll be nice to see Iris again, it's just I want to finally move past characters from BW. Yes, I'm well aware an Iris cameo is likely, and that's fine, but at least until that point comes along, the speculation threads can hopefully stay focused on XY. As to bickering, the bickering could subside a lot if more then one topic were permitted to dominate that Character Speculation thread.

I do wonder what will lead up to Iris catching the Gible, seeing as that's all but certain, and I wonder what it's personality will be, as opposed to Ash's Gible.

Agreed. She doesn't need yet another loss against a Dragon-type specialist. I'd rather see a tie happen between Iris and Clair over Iris simply losing.

Honestly the fact that Excadrill only tied against Haxorus instead of getting revenge still left a bad taste in my mouth so a tie is not what I'm here for. Iris deserves a good win here.

well since gible tags along with iris, i think it will have a friendly personality i think since it's a baby stage to start with.

I don't think it will be a baby pokemon to be honest. It really wouldn't make sense for Gible to be another baby pokemon given that the writers don't want to evolve Kibago who is her baby pokemon.
