Mario Kart DS question

You know how when you choose a car for a character, it has 6 stats?

Well one of them is Items and I really dont get what it does. Does it boost the chance of getting good items? Or does it boost something else?

Its the chance of getting better items. Like if your in first place maybe you'd get shells more often instead of bananas

A question about that: I've never gotten Bullet Bill, which character do I use so I have a better chance of getting him?

I DOES give you a better chance it getting good items but it also does something else. It increases an item's effect on you. For example, a character with a higher item stat with be shocked by the thunder for much longer than someone with a lower item stat.

So it's not exactly great the entire time.

actually,it does raise the chance,but engine class affects your luck.

get a character with a full item stat bar and compete in the 150cc engine class,that way you can get the really good itmes,like the golden mushroom and the blue flying koopa shell.

I'm sure I'm just repeating everyone else, but anywho.

A high Item bar means your more likely to get better items (3 Red Shells rather than 1) BUT the ink from a Blooper will stay on you longer. The time it takes for you to recover from lightning just depends on what possition you were in when it hit you. (this meaning the person in first is going to take the longest to recover.) Also, to get a Bullet Bil, you have to be in possition 6 - 8 (4th when online) and a high Item bar will even the chances of you getting one instead of a golden mushroom or lightning.

I got most of this information from a walkthrough however I have tried it all out and it is true. Hope that helps.

yes as every one said it increase ur chance of gettin better items like gettin triple shells or triple bannanas but also in time trials depending on how high ur item bar it ull start with 1 2 or 3 mushrooms

Well, to get certain items you need to be in a certain place. For example, if you're from 5th-8th place, you can get Bullet Bill & Spike Shell. I don't care about Blooper, since I've got a uninked touch screen, behbeh! It has only messed me up a few times if I don't look after all. I did notice the chance of getting good weapons on higher engine classes, and I've received the Golden Mushroom several times. Lucky me. o_~
