How do I unlock Shyguy? can you even unlock shyguy?

One of my friends said that you can unlock shyguy somehow but I dont know how. Please Tell me.

If some one doesn't have Kario Kart DS, they can download it from you. The only character the person without the cartridge can use is Shy Guy. That is the only way to use it. Hope that helps.

Thats exacly what I did. I wirelessly played this game with my friend with a single card. He was the Character Shyguy. But I did not unlock him. Is there any other way?

Read what they told you. You don't unlock him. He's just a nameless type character.

After seeing ShyGuy on the site I always wanted to play as him...

He's very similar to Yoshi, except he looks cooler.
