200 CC and an April release for the DLC Pack 2.
I like these ideas. I also like the footage of that Animal Crossing course.

Races also might seem too short to some people at first too.

In any case, I'm very excited for the update and I can't wait for Pack 2. I'm happy that Nintendo hasn't completely revealed the contents of the pack. It would be good if they saved some things for us to see for ourselves.

I like that they haven't revealed everything as well. Leaves a little mystery to the pack.

And I can't do 50cc without thinking it's too slow...

It's weird that they haven't announced a Pikachu racing suit. When the suits were first announced, I didn't think it was weird, but now we have third parties. You'd think Pokémon would be fair game. Now there's an odd number of racing suits, with a total of 19. If there's going to be more DLC Packs, maybe we could get more racing suits.

Indeed. I also hoped there would be a Charizard one with little wings on the back of the outfit. As the update came earlier than the May release I can see why Charizard isn't one, either. Also, what happened to Toon Link? Nintendo said Toon Link was to be compatible at some point. Does Toon Link share the same outfit with Link?

I think the Toon Link one just unlocks the Link one.

Maybe because they're third parties. They want some of their influence in a big name title like Mario Kart. I swear Sonic hasn't had a good time lately.

Pokemon probably doesn't want/need to extend its plushie market to MK8.

It's fake. Apparently its months old, originates from gamefaqs and the creator admitted to it.

Also they got the naming for neo bowser city wrong (it'd be listed as Koopa city)

Yeah, unless they turn mario kart into a smash bros racing game (which I would be heavily against), I'm doubtful we'll see any non-mario characters be added. That being said, if they created a seperate racing game that wasn't mario kart which had characters like samus/pkmn, I would be all for that.

Me too, though I hardly believe two such games could coexist; one first party racing game is enough.

I really wouldn't want Baby Park to come back. It's gimmick only works so well with Double Dash. Besides that I don't want to be spending money on a course that takes 15 seconds to make one lap.
