This method is fake...Seriously, what would being foreign have to do with anything? Where's your proof? Shinies are all luck.

You obviously don't know the games mechanics.

pokemon is getting boring and boring day by day. same story theme. but i love the character pikachu

Okey....?

guys i know a method to get a shiny egg 100%
this works on the japanese versions for sure but im not sure on the english versions

its called the plantinum loop(but idk if im allowed to discuss this cuz im surprised ive never read about this method anywhere on this forum)

http://pokem.client.jp/seed.htm

heres the site if anyone else can read japanese...

and this method works cuz ive hatched shiny pokemon at a 100% rate so far (charmander and beldum ftw)

basically how this works is shinies are determined by this thing called seeds, and if you know your exact seed at one point of the game, you can calculate when you'll get a shiny egg using your id.

haha has anyone else heard of this method?

Well, it does work in a different way since you also need to know you SID.

RNG? It's not really cheating, as it all falls within game mechanics (they cracked how the RNG works basically) Some people just don't like it cause it gets rid of the "random" part. Or the are mad cause they found that method out after chaining for weeks on end.

There was a thread on it awhile ago, floating on page 3 now that was never closed.

Yes, but still it is called hacking since getting a Flawless IV shiny pokemon is too good to be true. Shinies should be random and not something really common.

This is the Masuda Method Thread not the RNG Thread.

I think this method happened ot me in the wild

I was ev training my Darkrai on route 209 i had all foreign pokemon with my darkrai on my team and a shiny duskull appeared, and i didnt even use the poke radar. I think it was cause of this method

o_O and why is it conisdered hacking if it was Masuda that made it anyway?

I got a feeling...

Masuda method is breeding international pokemon with your pokemon.not having an international pokemon and encountering and the pokemon you encountered will be shiny its not like that

Could someone help me with this?
Whether an Egg is Shiny or not is determined when the egg is given to you, right? And nature is determined when the Pokemon comes out of the egg?
So technically, I could save before each egg hatches, and when I find a Shiny Pokemon in one, I could SR and re-hatch the egg until I get a favorable nature, correct?

no. It is set when you get the egg.

The PID (which determines shinyness and nature) is created when the old man turns to the left. When you pick up the egg, IVs are created. So you can't SR a shiny for nature, but you can SR a shiny/correct nature for good IVs.

You can't SR for a good nature.

I think that's what you meant. The PID creates the Shinyness and the natures as seen in the RNGReporter. But the IVs are not set. So you can reset for one but only when you've got the egg if I'm not wrong.

Everything except the IV is set when the egg is created; IV is set when you pick up the egg.
You can SR for IVs, but nothing else.

I was telling him that we already know about it and there is an unclosed thread for it as well <_<

And since you mentioned about it being "hacking" hacking is altering game code directly, this is just understanding and using how the RNG works.

Some people call it hacking. That's why I try to avoid overdoing it since they can be seen as hacks for some people.

Sorry, but no. The pokemon's PID if determined when you obtain the egg. The PID is a code that includes information about nature, gender, and shinyness. So, all of this information is determined at the same time. If you hatched a shiny Adamant male pokemon, no matter how many times you SR, if its in the same egg then it will ALWAYS be shiny, Adamant, and male.

Actually, that's not entirely correct either. The PID is only part of what determines shininess; the original trainer ID and SID play a part as well.

Technically, an egg that hatches in your game as a non-shiny might hatch shiny in another game, and one that hatches shiny in your game would probably not hatch shiny in another game, since the OT information is not written to the PKM until after hatching.

Oh i thought it does both for breeding and having foreign Pokemon on ur team and fight wild pokemon. Why do i keep getting the wrong idea

anyway i'll have to try this i have a foreign glaceon at level 100 maybe if i keep breeding i can get shiny eevee's.

Sin palabras..
if you have a foreign shiny ditto and breed it with one of your pokes the chances are biggests
or is still the same as the masuda method, chances..?
