May's most shafted Pokemon?

Most shafted Pokemon?

Yeah, ok!
Which Pokemon of May's got the least love from the writers out of all them? Which one do you think was shafted?

I'm going to have to go with Eevee. Not only did May get it too late in the show for it to really become appealing, but it was only ever in 1 Contest before the Grand Festival, and just did 1 appeal after that. It was also barely out of its Pokeball aside from that and ended up used the least of her Kanto team of Combusken, Munchlax and Squirtle.

I feel like I barely even got to know May's Eevee before she left. What a shame.

Squirtle was so not given the spot light he deserved : O [lie/]

Eevee Seems To Be The General Idea But Im Gonna Say Munchlax

Eevee and Munchlax for the pure fact that Squirtle unfortunately overshadowed them. Also, I thought that the writers would save Eevee and Munchlax for Shinnou contests but I was mistaken (although specials with Johto contests wouldn't be bad).

Bulbasaur was also pretty shafted considering it wasn't even mentioned at all in BF after it went with Oak (not including ending pics that is). I mean we saw May with Skitty and Beautifly again near the end of AG but not Bulba.

Are you guys insane? Zenigame got no love. It wins this poll oh, SO much.

:(

Seriously, I'm gonna have to go with everybody else and say Iibi. She got it way too late.

Eevee and Bulbasaur are right up there. I'm tempted to say Beautifly as well, although I didn't see most of the early contest episodes so I might remember it doing less than what it really did. Although it was pretty much forgetten about later on, pretty much everything that was not Combusken or Munchlax was after BF started.

Bulbasaur and Munchlax. Bulbasaur barely got any screen tme and may sent it to prof. oak. and munchhlax just pops out of it pokeball when its not in contests.

I'm going to say Bulbasaur and Beautifly. Well, maybe it's just me and the fact that they're not there thoughout Battle Frontier, but oh well, that's where I stand.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Beautifly was forgotten about toward middle/late Hoenn until the Grand Festival.

I'm surprised people on saying Bulbasaur though. It had three major Contests and some character development with Ash's Bulbasaur. It was in the Rubello Contest in which it lost, then in Harley's debut Contest in which it won, and then it beat Harley again with Beautifly in the Grand Festival. It had three big battles, which is more than I can say for the others.

Munchlax didn't really do anything until the Contest where Harley beat May, and was only used in battle in the Grand Festival after that.

Come to think of it, most of May's Pokemon weren't really in that many battles as it seemed.

I own the 5th gen
I voted for practically everyone that isn't Wakashamo and, especially, Zenigame.

Agehunt: as Cyber said, while it was focused on a lot early on, it was kinda forgotten about in the second half of Houen. And despite the fact that it's clearly one of Haruka's best Pokemon, it was dumped in the Battle Frontier.

Eneko: like Agehunt, it got a fair amount of focus, but it too was dumped for a pointless reason. To add salt to the wound, that stupid turtle practically ripped off its ice appeals. Also, the fanbase is very unfair to it. I'll say it again, its development was perfectly believeable, and I see no problem with Assist (it's not like one of Haruka's Pokemon has Explosion that never comes up, or a one-hit KO attack that always comes up... all her Pokemon's moves seem useable one way or another). The problem is, after decent build-up (it may've learned Blizzard a tad too easily, but compared to Zenigame, at least it didn't pull any TM moves completely out of its a** at all too convenient of a moment), they decided to crap on the writing for its first contest, which is why it seems like a deus ex. But really, had they just written that battle differently (Kimimaro was likely gonna lose one way or another... unlike Harley and Shuu, it's not like he travels and would end up recurring), everyone would probably be singing a different tune, not like all this "Super Skitty" bullcrap that's going around.

Fushigidane: again, dumped, and practically replaced by something else completely unworthy as the Fire/Leaf ad.

Gonbe: it was being an annoying advertisement at first, but come Battle Frontier, it started to prove itself worthy. And even though its Metronome practically cried "potential deus ex", that was far from the case (aside from an effective Thunder against Octan, and a rather convenient Extremespeed that only ended up being comic relief anyway, Gonbe has ended up with a Splash and a Rest... seems anything but cheap). Harley really let him have it in his contest debut, and we only saw it in one other battle since then (which, unlike what others might say, was also believable sans Gonbe being propelled by Eievui's tail). Like so many other of Haruka's Pokemon, he had his screentime wrongfully swiped away from him by that f***ing turtle, and the fact that Haruka wouldn't go on to Shin'ou was really a kick in the balls for the poor guy.

Eievui: oh god, what hasn't been said about the tiny fox in this thread? Well, I could point out that, like Eneko, the writers shafted it out of a well-written debut battle despite decent build-up (thus resulting in fans berating it). Once again, damn the undeserving, limelight-hogging turtle! Thankfully, it's likely we'll see it show up again as a Leafia/Glacia.

Definitely Agehanto. Outside of 'Rivals Forever'(in which it was there mainly to contrast Shuu's random Butterfee), it didn't really do much post mid-Houen.

Fushigidane didn't get a lot, but she had several big battles in late Houen, and the interaction with Satoshi's Fushigidane.

Eievui may not have been fully developed, but she had several notable moments, especially her battles against Takeshi and Harley.

Eneko may have gotten dumped in BF, but she was a powerhouse in Houen, and had almost all of the big moments in Haruka's Houen arc.

Gonbe started out being just a mascot, but he really came into his own, especially in his two battles against Harley, and seemingly being placed as Haruka's #2 by her using him against Saori.

Obviously no one is going to say that Bashamo or Zenigame were shafted...

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
So I take it most people believe May's Pokemon were treated poorly during AG? Some of you make it sound like May's Pokemon are as neglected as Misty or Brock's. o_O

It's got to be Chikorita. I mean, for gods sake, the girl hasn't even interacted with it yet, let alone sealed it inside a plastic ball. That my friends, is some serious shaft.

It is like Gravy said. She hasn´t interacted with it at all.
I´d say she doesn´t even know its moves or how strong it is.
Chikorita is SO shafted, some people think it doesn´t even exist...strange.
