I had that problem with a Rhyhorn, so I don't think it's because it didn't have an everstone. I think some moves are locked for trading on Pokemon. Not sure why.

Yeah, I've noticed that with the Plaza trades. I think it might be one of those things where the wires get crossed for no real reason. Reminds me more of Gen V.
I really hate how they've done it now. Gen VI was more intuitive and easy.
