At school on my iPhone, this'll be brief.

Twins are okay, but they'll need 2 sign-ups, and they'll be together for most of the story.

Different philosophies is fine.

Hydrokinesis? Born with it isn't enough. Explain how, does it run in the family? How dis their ancestor get it? A reasonable explanation please

3 is to limit your power, make it easier on me, and to have more detail in Pokemon sign-ups. Pokemon are people too. Figuratively.

Well, for my char, basically two actual specials, if it's only the powers, then. XP

anyway, I'll be making a pokemon trainer sometime this week. =P (NO not the one who's after Musica to fight him, the one who's after Musica because she thinks he's some super-trainer)

EDIT: Oh. and shouldn't trainer pokemon have ages too?

Last edited:
Meh, it's a long-winded process of their ancestors interbreeding with Merfolk and losing the tails at some point. I'll prolly just scrap the Hydrokinesis... Oh, and as for the seperate sign-up thing... they're basically the same (but with a few differences that people don't seem to notice :/)

Anyway, I'll post the form in it's usual format, anf I'll have you decide weather you need it splitting...

Name: Joseph and Joshua “The Clones” Antonimous

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Player Type: Pokemon Trainers

Appearance:

clonesbanner.png

Joe and Josh stand tall for their age, at six foot two, and have a pale complexion. They both have messy black hair (though Joshes is approximately an inch longer) and bright, turquoise eyes. They both also have a thin, four-inch long scar on the side of their face (right for Joe, left for Josh) because they were born Siamese.

They usually wear black, sometimes “mixing-it-up” with blue’s, green’s and pinks. They’re never seen without a pair of fingerless gloves (style may vary). They each also have a silver chain around their neck. that has a small, glass phial on it which is said to contain water from the lake of a Lugia. They wear them for good luck.

Personality:
Joe and Josh can be described as nothing more than quirky. Being sarcastic at times, happy-go-lucky at others, and downright insane normally on a rare occasion, people generally don’t know what they’re thinking. They differ in several ways, however; Josh is the more protective and dominant, sticking up for Joe and anyone else whom he admires. He is also more brutal, retorting to violence quicker than Joe would. Joe, on the other hand, may appear harmless, but watch out; this rose has thorns. If something really gets on his nerves, even Josh, his temper will gain control and he will lash out. They both have a, seemingly random, hate of Abomasnow.

History:
Joe and Josh were born in Snowpoint City, in Sinnoh. Their mother owned a large manor house, so it’s safe to say they had a slightly privileged childhood. Their mother was also the Snowpoint Gym leader, and their sister, Candice, would take over for her when she retired, which they all thought, but never voiced, would be soon, due to their Mother‘s breast cancer.

They lived a happy childhood, often donning their Dowsing Machine Apps and searching through the deep snow for interesting and rare objects with their Mother‘s Purugly, Flees, until one day, when they were almost ten, they came across a horrific scene; a Glaceon, with a deep gash on it’s side, and being advanced on by an Abomasnow.

Of course, they ordered Flees to attack the behemoth, and the Purugly soon had it fleeing for it’s life. Once the immediate threat was gone, they turned their attention to the injured Glaceon, who was now, quite remarkably, standing.

They approached her, hands out, and tried to explain that they wanted to take her home and heal her, but the Glaceon shook her head, teeth clenched, and began to stagger towards the bushes, blood dripping from her open wound. Joe and Josh just stood and stared for a moment, until the Glaceon looked back at them and said “Glace! Glaceon!” urgently. They knew she wanted them to follow her. But what, they wondered, was more important than saving her life? But, nevertheless, they followed her.

It soon became apparent what was so important, however, when they were clear of the bushes and saw a nest, with three eggs in it; she wanted them to care for the eggs, because she thought she was going to die.

Well, Joe and Josh weren’t about to let a Pokemon die, so they each took an egg, Josh placing the third on Flees back, so it could stay warm in her fur, but Joe also gently picked up the Glaceon and laid it on Flees back, too.

They rushed home, and into the Pokemon Centre. Candice was there, and after asking a few, short and quick questions about what had happened, allowed Nurse Joy to take the Glaceon into surgery.

As Candice waited in the waiting room, Joe, Josh and Flees took the eggs home, explaining to their mother what had happened and where Candice was. They made a haphazard, fluffy nest for the eggs, consisting of beanbag chairs, blankets and snuggies, and then they, as well as their mother, returned to the Pokemon Centre.

They walked back into the Waiting Area, and saw both Candice and Nurse Joy, apparently waiting for them. After telling them to sit and offering them tea, which Joe and Josh politely refused, Nurse Joy began to explain.

Apparently, whatever attack that Abomasnow had used had cut too deep into the Glaceon’s flesh, and had subsequently damaged several of her vital organs beyond repair, and that she was currently on life support, but they didn’t have enough power to keep it on for long.

Joe and Josh reeled from the blow, this story the root of their hate of Abomasnow. After signing several documents (the Glaceon was a wild Pokemon, so they had to make it seem like she belonged to them, or the Sinnog Government wouldn’t pay for the medical care she’d received) and allowed Nurse Joy to pull the plug…

The eggs hatched several weeks later, by which time they’d each also picked an egg and planned what they were going to do. Joe and Josh were going to go to Kanto and begin their journey with one of they young Eevee’s each. Candice would keep the third, training it up and evolving it into Glaceon.

Joe and Josh took a ship to Kanto, directly to Pallet Town, and received a Bulbasaur and Charmander from Professor Oak respectively. They travelled together, but chose different paths; Joe, contests, and Josh, Gym Battles. (They also spent several months training and learning Martial Arts at the Saffron Dojo, and thus are easily capable of defending themselves.)

They caught many Pokemon through their journey through Kanto, and each reached their respective finals. However, they didn’t exactly…. “do well.” Joe lost his first battle stage in the Grand Festival, and Josh only made it to the final thirty-two in the Kanto League, Neither were deterred, however, so they returned for a visit home, and then visited Johto.

It was when they retuned from Johto, however, when something else happened; their mother died, her Cancer finally taking over.

Both boys were distraught, being only twelve at the time. Candice, of course, took over the Gym after the funeral, and Joe and Josh, still being underage, needed to find a guardian to adopt them.

It was then that their mother’s sister, Pricilla, offered to adopt them. They agreed, liking their aunt very much, and moved in with her.

She lived in Snowpoint also, but in a smaller house than the manor, which was now being put up for sale (Candice lived above the gym.) After wallowing in misery for a few months, Pricilla talked Joe and Josh into continuing their journey.

They explored Hoenn, and then their own home turf, Sinnoh, progressing further and further in the Grand Festival’s and Pokemon League’s progressively. They’ve been living at home for about a year, not having the inspiration to go and explore the new land of Unova yet.

Pokemon:

Joe:

197umbreon.png

~Once~
Female

Once was Joe‘s first Pokemon. She hatched from an egg that he and Josh took home, along with two others, when their mother, a Glaceon, was killed by an Abomasnow. They‘ve been the best of friends for almost five years now. She is extremely loyal, and graceful in battle.

003venusaurf.png

~Ivy~
Female

Joe chose Ivy as his starter Pokemon when he and Josh started their journey through Kanto. She was his second ever Pokemon. Ivy was extremely shy to begin with, but once she saw Joe and Once playing in a field, she plucked up the courage to go and join them. She is still slightly shy to this day, but can often get over it.

350miloticf.png

~Drakainai~
Female

Joe met Drakie in Hoenn, just outside of Sootopolis City. She was trying to fend off a pack of Sharpedo at the time, and failing miserably until Josh called out his Wailord to disperse them. She was badly injured, so Joe caught her and took her to a Pokemon Centre, planning on releasing her when she was healed. As it turns out, the Sharpedo did some serious damage, and, according to Nurse Joy, she wouldn‘t survive in the wild, so Joe decided to keep her. She‘s very affectionate, and doesn’t like battling much.

Josh:
196espeonz.png

~Amethyst~
Female

Once was Joshes first Pokemon. She hatched from an egg that he and Joe took home, along with two others, when their mother, a Glaceon, was killed by an Abomasnow. They‘ve been the best of friends for almost five years now. She‘s quite lazy, and likes to make people happy, usually by singing.

006charizard.png

~Charming~
Male

Josh chose Charming as his starter Pokemon when he and Joe started their journey through Kanto. He was his second ever Pokemon. Due to his shiny colouration, Charming was extremely haughty and proud, thinking himself better than all other Charmanders. He still kept this attitude up until Josh challenged the Pewter Gym, where he had to drop it and listen to Joshes commands or be flattened by an Onix. Charming is, nowadays, very loyal and proud, not responding well to insults.

130gyarados.png

~Fluffy~
Male

Josh caught Fluffy while he was terrorizing a family, swimming on the shores of Olivine City. He thinks the nickname is kinda “cute.” Fluffy kinda hates him.

Special: Hydrokinesis. It runs in their family. The short version is that their ancestors interbred with merfolk, and as it went down the generations, they lost the tails and gills.

Ka-Ra-Tay!
So I was wondering... is there a certain amount of open spots for people to sign-up for? I'd like to reserve... though I'm not quite sure if or when I'll ever finish my sign-up. But if you have a limited amount of spots... well, I don't want to keep anyone from joining, especially if I might or might not join myself. >_<

Anywho, one more question... is it possible to have both a person and a Pokemon that have a special, or are specials just limited to one-per-person?

That looks good, but they were born Siamese, only on their faces?? Weird... Accepted

@pokefan0234

No, there's not really a limit. I don't want to get too huge, but for now, I'll put you down as a reserve.

Specials are pretty open. Anything reasonable is okay for everyone.

@lxdarknessxl

Age is pretty subjective, since Pokemon lifespans are pretty unknown...
Alright, you get 1 more character.

Name: Rose Flores

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Player Type: Pokémon Trainer

Appearance: Rose is a cute girl with long black hair, with a streak of blond going down on one of the sides. She enjoys wearing red clothes, including shoes, shirt, and skirt. While her skirt is simple, the others are not. In other words, her shirt is a T-shirt of obvious color that has a white heart on the center, and her shoes... okay, so the shoes are simple too. However, the laces are white, and there are white socks folded out that are part of the shoe. While her height is average, boys still see her as pretty charming.

Personality: Rose is a kind, caring girl who thinks before she acts, unlike her older brother. She looks up to her brother, who both care for her deeply. Sometimes, he is even overprotective, which annoys her time to time. The sentence that she dreads is “I will never allow it!!!”, which she has not heard before, but she knows she will because of Kenshin.

Rose is one of those completely girly girls. She is very sensitive about her hair and how she looks, and freaks out when she does not have the right clothes. Also, she is extremely scared of bug-type pokemon. This girl never did understand her brother’s obsession of nature, but because of Kenshin always going out for his nature walks, she tries to understand it. She is almost the opposite of her brother, especially since she does not play any instruments, she dances. Still, she enjoys singing, and her brother (Kenshin) made her a few songs for her to sing. Her ideas of her family are like the following. Kenshin is nice. Protective, maybe, but nice. Frankie is also the same as Kenshin, but since he is never around, Rose likes him a little bit less. As for her parents, father likes to give her lectures about safety while she is outside the forest, while her mother tries to keep her father calm, so Rose likes her mother better than her father.

Her reaction to bug pokemon... you don't exactly want to see it. She completely freaks out, and starts to run away, usually ending with her getting too tired to run away, or her pokemon scaring them away.

Sadly, she isn't creative with her pokemon names, so... yeah.

History:Rose, being the daughter of pokemon breeders, lived in a forest most of her life with her parents and brother, for her parents wanted to learn more about pokemon than they could by studying in libraries and such. However, unlike her brother, Rose constantly went out of the forest, because she is tired of being in a forest. Of course, this always worried Kenshin and Frankie, yet also gave them a chance to surprise her with a present. On Rose’s twelfth birthday, which was after Frankie left on his journey, Kenshin got her a heart-shaped necklace, made of silver. Although the necklace could have been sold for a lot, Kenshin, almost never going out of the forest, did not get her a decent birthday present. It turned out that a merchant who got lost in the forest, who was helped outside by Kenshin traded it to him in exchange for a bunch of the money Kenshin got from helping the people in the forest get out. This caused Rose’s great respect for her brother.

Since she still loves pokemon despite disliking living in the forest, Rose has fond memories with Wings and Sneasel. Once, while taking a walk with Sneasel, the two got lost, due to Sneasel's bad sense of direction. Of course, it was the bird pokemon's job to find where the two were. Because of this, Rose had always liked Wings slightly more. That, and that birds eat bugs.

One day, when she was coming back from a friend’s house, Rose found her brother, Kenshin, in bed, with broken bones. Although he tried to hide it, Kenshin could not hide the truth from Rose. When she found out a few days after Kenshin healed that Beedrills were the cause for her brother’s wound, she was horrified. Rose already had a fear of bug-type pokemon, but now it made it worse. By then, Rose was the only one without a pokemon, so she asked her parents for one. They agreed, and gave her a pokemon egg, which soon hatched into a female Ralts. Rose named her Raki, as in the beginnings of Ralts and Kirlia, and asked her brother for a battle. Kenshin practiced battling with his pokemon friends, but Rose never tried. So, Kenshin beat her pretty easily.

However, Kenshin knowing what his sister wants left her a flyer for a camp that teaches how to use pokemon efficiently. Although this was similar to the Pokemon School, the camp was rather more suited for beginners. Rose’s parents agreed to send her to the camp, but they later decided to send her with Kenshin on a journey. However, being the same family as Kenshin, the all-forgetful one, they all forgot to tell him.

When she left, she was almost right away in trouble. A group of pokemon thieves found her, and tried to take Raki... when she was saved by someone near her age, who had white hair but hid his looks with a cloak. Ever since then, she had great respect for the boy, and tried to follow him, although he teleported away, showing that he had something small and teleportable, like a Ralts or Abra.

Since then, she has many times over been saved by the boy, and for a while, she thought he was stalking him, until she tried talking to him. The boy was confused, was even frustrated, thinking that ROSE was stalking HIM. When they got it cleared up that it was a coincidence, the boy STILL refused to take off even his hood, but she did meet Eve the Eevee, who was hiding inside the hood for a while.

Pokémon:

Name: Raki

Species: Gardevoir (Female)

Appearance: Not much different

Personality: Very kind and caring... thinks about others more than about herself. However, she is kind of shy, and does not like flirts, whether they are flirting with her or someone else. While the entire team works with eachother, Raki is the obvious leader of the team, not counting Rose herself.

Name: Ember

Species: Charizard (shiny female)

Appearance: well, coloring is black, since she's shiny...

Personality: Surprisingly loyal, she is strangely the opposite of Rose in the case of bug pokemon... somewhat. Ember just likes burning them like heck. She will only listen to Rose's commands, as well as Musica's, but only because Rose told her to do so basically every time the three were getting attacked.

Name: Bunny

Species: Lopunny (female)

Appearance: looks more feminine than the average Lopunny.

Personality: Loyal, but is Raki's least favorite of the group, due to her flirty personality. She flirts a LOT, even with Musica, which always confused Rose, since as far as Rose knows, Musica is a human... Well, Bunny knows better. Other than this, Bunny is the same as the others in likability. Even with her rivalry with the Gardevoir, Bunny is a reliable member of the team, and is a master of the move Attract.

Lilith Czernobori

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Player Type: Pokémon Trainer

Appearance: Lilith is average height, around 5’5”, and has short, cropped, blonde hair. Her only makeup is heavily kohled eyes with deep purple highlights. She has black crystals inset into her canine teeth. She is often smiling, but rarely due to joy. She smiles to unnerve people, showing off the black insets.

She usually wears a torn white jacket with reflective strips of yellow, blue, or rainbow, depending on her mood. She wears the jacket over what appears to be a plain black T-shirt, but under black light, the Anarchy “A” is visible. She always wears Rave pants, slimmed down to be more efficient for daily wear. Her favorite design matches her Umbreon, with blue rings.

Lilith wears white denim gloves with selective fingers cut off. Her right hand glove has all the fingers cut off, and her left hand glove has only the thumb, the middle finger, and the ring finger cut off. On her left middle finger, she wears a thin gold band.
She has a stylized tattoo of Giratina Origin Forme on her lower back.

Personality/History: Lilith, born Zoe Czernobori, changed her name to Lilith when she was thirteen. She genuinely hates stereotypes and hates being forced to conform. Lilith is confrontational and despises “girly-girls”. She is proud that she can own her older brother at Call of Duty, and knows how to win a fistfight. She drives a motorcycle, rather than the nice sky-blue car that her father would have chosen for her. Lilith refuses even to conform to separatist groups, leaving hair its natural blonde color, shunning the Goth and Emo community, who she views as weirdoes. (No offense to them.) Her parents are completely bewildered at how to deal with such a… different child. They have long since given up at trying to get her to change her ways. Personal
strength and superiority is what she values most.

However, Lilith has a slight inferiority complex. She has two older brothers, and one older sister. They have grown up to become surgeons, lawyers, and astrophysicists, in that order. Her parents had great expectations of her, expectations that she was unable to meet. She couldn’t reach the bar, so her decision was to ignore the bar completely and go play on the slide, figuratively. She hides her feelings of inferiority under a brash, disrespectful mask.

Even from a young age, when the other girls her age were getting their parents to buy them Lillipups and Budew, she caught a Spinarak in a jar. Her Eevee was evolved into an Umbreon. She bought an Old Keystone from the museum. Or at least, her parents bought it to placate her. The sad solution to everything for rich people. Throw money at it, and maybe that’ll fix it. Her parents couldn’t fix her, so they gave up, letting Lilith become whoever she wanted to be. She’ll never admit it, but she is thankful towards her parents for that, and loves them.

When she heard Gin’s story, her reaction was, of course, “You want me to kick a God’s a**...? Hell yes!”

Pokémon:

Name: Hollow

Gender: Male

Species: Umbreon

Appearance: Hollow is shiny, and her rings are a bright blue.

Personality: Hollow loves to party. Life is short! Enjoy every minute of it. He is always active and energized, ready for whatever’s to come. A bit of a glutton, Hollow will devour anything, as long as it isn’t green and leafy.

Name: Kumo

Gender: Female

Species: Ariados

Appearance: Normal

Personality: Kumo takes life at her own pace. Nothing can rush her through anything. She can be completely still for hours on end, without a single movement. Despite this, when she feels the need, she can move lightning quick. She prefers to laze on a web in the shade, and will only take action when she feels it necessary.

Name: Centuit

Gender: Unknown

Species: Spiritomb

Appearance: Normal

Personality: Centuit, a shortened form of cent-huit, French for 108, was made from the souls of one hundred and eight people from the Parisian Catacombs. They are all souls of the French Resistance that used the tunnel system during World War II. As such, they can (only) speak French, and despise dictators.

so, how much longer until the RP starts, do you think?

Hmm... I'll wait for a few more people. I think it'll start sometime this week, or maybe the weekend. I might start it early for the already accepted people, since the beginning will probably just you guys getting to the Entralink.

I also need to get a Discussion Thread up. A lot of this RP kinda hinges on that. Can Psychic give permission for that? If so, I'd better compose a PM... for when the main thread is up of course.

I'll probably start it really soon. I'm way too impatient to wait for too long. I just want some more reserves filled out.

Really and truly
lxdarknessxl, asking when an RP is going to start is against the rules rules, especially if it's just SPAMing up a thread like here. Plus it comes off as impatient and somewhat rude. Please don't do it again. And seriously, the thread's been up for 24 hours, have some patience. :/

Niihyl, you can request a Discussion Thread over PM no prob, just make sure you clearly explain why you want one.

Anyhow, here's my SU. This character's been floating around my head for awhile, so I'd love to finally be able to use her. :>

Player Type: Wild Pokémon

Name: Ironbeak Swiftclaw, once known as the Shearer of the Skies

Species: Skarmory

Age: 60, just past the prime of a Skarmory life span

Gender: Female

Appearance: Ironbeak’s metal coat is anything but shiny and smooth. It’s dirty and bent out of shape from a lifetime of fierce battles, but even in her old age it seems to hold a dull, unnatural glint to it. Her one great scar, however, is a stark white claw mark running down her flank, seared there by the white-how claws of a Fire Pokémon long ago.

Personality: Cruel, sharp and sly are the best words to describe this fearsome bird. She will do whatever it takes to survive and get her way, no matter what it means for anyone else. Cunning and intelligent, Ironbeak is independent and fierce, with a persuasive and conniving tongue. She is not against devising schemes that betray her allies so long as there is a chance of her gaining something. She does not care about others in the least; she is only out for personal gain and is not afraid to do whatever need be to get what she wants. Ironbeak has little respect for anyone other than herself, but if she finds one who is stronger than she, she will do whatever she can to get on their good side and side with them if there is a chance of getting something back in return. Caring only about achieving her own personal goals, she always wants to be on the winning team, and if it’s clear she might lose, she’ll quickly withdraw. While being a somewhat petty bird, however, she will not back down from a fight.

Although she will not admit it, Ironbeak is also nostalgic and does miss the good old days back when she had a handful of minions who always did her bidding.

History: A long time ago, Ironbeak managed to make quite the name for herself. Incredibly intelligent and persuasive, she convinced a couple dozen other bird Pokémon to join her in a “quest for greatness” as she had called it, but in truth had been more of a quest for power. The Skarmory’s intention was to build a great flock, an army of followers and gain control of the skies. Thinking that Ironbeak would lead them to victory and bring them wealth, many followed her and did her bidding. Soon enough she had amassed a huge flock, a threat to any passing Pokémon. Her followers were rewarded with the riches they had reaped from the innocent. They were feared and hated. Their ranks continued swelling as eager, greedy birds heard of the shearer of the skies and wanted a piece of the rewards. She was known as Ironbeak Swiftclaw because it was with a strong beak and swift claws that she brought victory to her minions.

However, just as she gained followers she also gained an opposition of those who refused to succumb to her might. An army that easily rivalled her own was formed by Fire Pokémon and the Flying Pokémon who refused to join her. They stood their ground and a great battle between the two sides ensued, raging for many weeks. The battle ended when the leader of the opposing army, a Charizard of great strength, duelled with Ironbeak high in the air. He landed the winning blow by breathing fire onto his claws and digging them into the Skarmory’s metal hide, badly wounding her and forcing her to admit defeat.

Her army was scattered and Ironbeak herself was given two options: never attempt anything like this ever again and refrain from contact with other Pokémon, or die. Needless to say she took the former, and so was forced into exile.

Since then, she has kept her word, though it bores her terribly. She came to pass the time by observing humans, who had no part in her war and from whom she was not banned from being near. She eventually came to understand their language and even speak it in her raspy, clanking voice, sometimes using it to play nasty jokes on unwary travellers. Her nest is far from any other, and will never hear the chirping of chicks. She lives by herself for herself, and has been doing so for a long, long time, often reminiscing about her time as the powerful, feared Skarmory overlord.

Other: Also in her boredom and frustration for the past, Ironbeak attempted to train herself to have a higher tolerance for fire attacks. She wasn’t entirely successful (local Fire types just don’t seem to cooperate), but she can tolerate more than the average Steel Pokémon.

On another note, I hope we have enough starter evolutions, Eeveelutions and Gardevoir evolutions. Sheesh. :p

Alright, you have a reservation. (Sigh, more rangers would be nice, but okay).

And yes, Phione is a small legendary. You need a good description of how you got it.

My description of legendary is just that, legendary. Not always by power, but by rarity or supposed mythical-ness.
