Niihyl, will you accept characters that have natural unnatural hair colors (blue, green, pink, etc.)?

Meh, it'll be fine. Hopefully, you'll explain if it's been dyed, or if they were born that way.

umm... excuse me? why are TM attacks not allowed for Pokemon characters? because for example, Musica pretends to be a human, so he gets suppies in cities and such as well, and if we're talking pure-wild pokemon right now, then there are TMs that trainers drop and forget about...

Maybe it'll be better if you make it so there should be a reasonable excuse why your character can use TM moves? like Musica, or saying they were originally captured pokemon?

Niihyl

Posthuman
I assume TMs work because they're some sort of... instructional CD? I figured that wild Pokemon wouldn't know that sort of thing.

I found this on the internet:

"The data is fed directly into the pokeball while the pokemon is inside it, thus rewriting its digitized bio-data to teach it the new move directly.

The TMs were intentionally designed as single-use programs so the manufacturers could sell more.

The Pokemon League Administrators in each region decided that certain moves were too important to trainers in that region to handle in that way, so they had certain moves (designated HMs) and the TM/HM - Pokeball Interface Device designed for multiple uses and hardwired so that the HM moves could only be removed by specially trained professionals.

This last part is to keep them from being sued by the parents of some foolish trainer who would otherwise get stuck and die of exposure, starvation, thirst, or something.

As an added safety measure, the Zombie Protocol allows the system to activate certain moves of a "fainted" pokemon."

Either way, it's sort of an unnatural way to learn moves, etc. Unless you eat them... HMs...

Asian Epicness
o.0 that must be made by a fan, since the real creators wouldn't forget that the move Teleport, which was originally unique to the Abra evolution line and those alone, and yet you could use the moves like HMs even when fainted... ^^;

also, in the games, manga, and most fanfics, the disk is just touched on the forehead of the pokemon, where it sends data into the pokemon...

Niihyl

Posthuman
Lol, it was fan-posted. I just thought it was pretty awesome.

Touch it to the forehead? Really? Interesting... Alright, fine. Nix the TM restriction. I'll add that somewhere.

Will you still accept Pokemon trainers or are the too many right now?
I'd make a Ranger, but currently you may not even accept any of my characters, and I really want to rp as this one character who would work best as a trainer.

lxdarknessxl

Asian Epicness
no really... it especially show up best in LeafGreen/FireRed. They show the disk being touched to the foreheads. =P

Anything is fine. I don't really have any specific requirements.

Umm, right, that's what I meant. I was talking about no specific requirements towards player-class. Standard no gods rule applies... Obviously.

Alright, here we go~ Hopefully she works and will be accepted. ;3;

Name: Haru Aquaroad

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Player Type: Pokémon Trainer

Appearance: Haru is somewhere between 5’4’’ to 5’5’’, depending on whose measuring her height. Primarily, she’s got a thin and athletic body build and almost all of her weight comes from muscle. She wears contacts for far away objects, as glasses often get in the way of her exercise. She has sky blue eyes and turquoise colored hair, which is all natural.

When let down, Haru’s straight, blue hair extends all the way to her rear. Many times, people have recommended to her to cut it shorter so it would be easier on her, but Haru refuses to do so, claiming that she has grown attached to it. To keep it away from getting in her face and bothering her, Haru primarily always keeps her hair up or pulled back. She has four known styles that she is fond of; pulling it back to the mid-back of her head into a ponytail, splitting her hair into two pigtails on each side of her head, pulling it back to a simple ponytail in which it starts at the bottom of her head and runs along her neck, and separating her hair into two smaller, simple ponytails that start at the area of the lower backside of her head, and continues down her back.

Clothing wise, Haru prefers athletic shirt, boots, and shorts for public clothing and long, baggy t-shirts with short shorts for private wear. For formal attire, she prefers pantsuits or tuxedos, even if the latter is supposed to be for men. Haru doesn’t like wearing skirts or dresses due to an incident from her childhood in which she was hanging down from the monkey bars and accidently flashed her whole grade with her bloomers. Needless to say, her peers never let her live that down.

Personality: Haru is a very serious, independent, hardworking and dedicated individual. For her, everything must be perfect, orderly, and complete. A topic she doesn’t know; she must study it in depth and become an expert of the topic. She will go to the ends of the earth to find the answer of her question, even if the answer doesn’t exist or is beyond her comprehension.

Academic and Pokemon-knowledge wise, Haru is a genius. Her IQ is about 160 and she graduated from high school at the age of thirteen with an incredibly high GPA. Haru loves learning and is known to be incredibly gifted and dedicated to her academics. For the most part, Haru is very introverted when around people, especially those near her age. However, Haru suddenly can become somewhat extroverted when around Pokemon, because while she can’t talk to them, she definitely enjoys being around them and playing with them.

While Haru may be a genius in her academics, she is a failure when it comes to socializing with people. She is incredibly blunt, has no sense of humor, takes things way to seriously, and often appears rude when she goes out of her way to correct someone. She thinks it’s helpful, while most people think it’s annoying. Haru is a sweet girl with good intentions, but often just irritates most. She has a hard time trusting people due to her abandonment issues stemmed from when her father left her and her mother without any kind of notice at a young age.

History: Haru was born to a middle class family in Johto. Her father was a famous researcher, mythology buff, and archeologist while her mother owns a Pokemon day-care. After her father disappeared, Haru was forced to help her mom take care of the day care along with her mom, and because of that Haru never really got used to playing with other children, and was more focused on becoming an adult before she was ever truly ready. During her childhood, Haru never really made any friends her own age or her own kind. But she doesn’t mind, in fact, she prefers that as it is easier to get along with Pokemon versus people. Haru has traveled across the world and has explored many regions including secret remote islands and places that the public doesn’t know much about. Haru has never once met the old man who plans to slay Arceus, and rather has appeared in the past by pure accident. She is not aware of the planned killing of Arceus, but would do anything she can as a way to prevent that from happening, and would attempt to find a way to convince Arceus to not try to destroy his own creation and then stop the other humans from killing it.

Pokémon:
Name: Missy
Species: Misdreavus
Appearance: Missy looks like most Misdreavus, with the exception that he wears a red bow right above his left eye (or on his head/hair).
Personality: Missy is a very proud and high maintenance Pokemon. He’s very self-conscious and always makes sure that it’s looking its best. He has a keen eye for fashion, beautiful things, and has a special fondness for gems and ribbons. Despite its name and taste in fashion, Missy is very much a male and will be personally offended if it finds out you mistook it for a female. Missy has no real interest in battling, but loves exploring, since more than not, Haru often stumbles upon forgotten treasure. Missy often gets into fights with Cornelius.
Special: N/A

Pokémon:
Name: Cornelius
Species: Totodile
Appearance: Cornelius looks like the average Totodile, with the exception that it wears a pair of black glasses sometimes.
Personality: Incredibly hasty, energetic, and impatient. Cornelius adores battling, but often rushes into one without thinking and often gets his rear end beaten. Besides battling, Cornelius loves to eat and eat and eat some more. Cornelius does not get along well with Missy.
Special: N/A

Pokémon:
Name: Pilot
Species: Flygon
Appearance: Pilot looks like the average Flygon, with the exception that it wears a red scarf around it’s neck.
Personality: Very laid-back and easy going. Pilot likes to battle, but his favorite thing to do is fly. Lucky for him, Haru likes to do that as well and the two often fly for hours together. Pilot is very fond of Haru and gets along very well with her other Pokemon.
Special: N/A

Alright, first of all, put extra lines in between paragraphs, since it's kind of hard to read the huge blocks of text. Otherwise, it looks good. Do you think you can fit your character in somehow? We're already in the Past...

yes you do. No immortal uber-demons.

Err... semi-immortal non-uber demons don't count... right? >.<

Name: Daniel Clowes, a.k.a. Ecabe, The Roaming Demon
Age: Permanently 18, actually 69
Gender: Male
Player Type:
Err… Pokémon Trainer?

Appearance: As Daniel – or Ecabe, as he is usually called – hasn’t aged in some-fifty years, his appearance still resembles many of the same traits of an eighteen-year old. Despite the fact that he barely reaches the average height of his frozen age, he strikes an opposing figure with his lanky limbs and pale, sickly skin. He often walks slowly and unrushed, a casual, carefree pace. When playing off his other identity, he leans slightly forward, giving him a tired, suffering appearance.

The white, dying colors of his skin is the complete opposite of his pure black hair. A jungle that cannot be tamed, it nests atop his head, though never quite falls into his eyes. His eyes are a light blue, tainted by a tint of sickly yellow around the irises. He does not often find the need to smile, but when he does, the sharpness of his filed-down canines can be clearly seen. As his other identity, his expressions are usually exaggerated, portraying the insanity that comes from pain.

The clothing he wears is rather interchangeable with his persona. As the Roaming Demon, his attire is tattered and worn. Everything is black – his shirt, his pants, the tattered cloak that he lets rest on his shoulders. All of these clothes are dulled, worn and weary from long wear. He is never without the black-bound book with blank pages he uses as a prop in his act. When not trying to scare the souls out of people, Ecabe’s attire is less worn and composed of more earthy colors, (though the non-tattered cloak still remains black.) In either identity, a talisman holding an orange jewel hangs from his neck.

Personality: A devious, spiteful spirit cursed by the blessing of immortality, Ecabe is the symbol of a faltering soul. Once betrayed by his best friend some fifty years ago, he carries the grudge of the betrayal with him wherever he goes, dreaming of revenge. He easily takes wrongful actions used against him in spite, and has a hard time forgiving the misdeeds he has faced. In the time between the event and forgiveness, such misdeeds haunt him like a ghost, sparking anger in his heart that is usually taken out on his allies.

People say that he is uncaring, though that’s not because of any fault of his. In truth, he doesn’t tend to care about things only because he has no motivation to care for them. While other people may die, life for him forever goes on… and what good is it to mourn over something he would witness eventually? This attitude has given him a hardened personality and it the mindset to endure any pain he may face, but not without the price of his humanity.

His specialty is in his acting, tricking others for his benefit. What is acting but a lie with a name? His conniving mind is often thinking about ways to improve his alternate persona. On the other hand, he loves a good practical joke – or any joke, really – and while he isn’t the type to burst out laughing, he may briefly break out of character to chuckle at a well-placed pun.

The Roaming Demon is another identity created by Ecabe in order to gain riches and keep people out of his sight. As the Roaming Demon, Ecabe fakes a mysterious, deadly air, acting as though he were out of his mind. He enjoys playing this persona, so much, in fact, that he often becomes engrossed in the act, forgetting for the moment that he is not actually a demon. Usually, it takes some harsh words from his allies to snap him out of this trance.

His is very superstitious, though not in the way one might expect. Dark-types and Ghost-types don’t bother him much, though he is wary of Psychic-types and their ability to break through the laws of nature. Having seen the transition of worshippers move from Mew to Arceus in the past few years, he refuses to believe that Arceus is a deity. Instead, he believes in a higher power, something above even the legends, though he knows nothing but the fact that the higher power is there.

History: Ecabe was once a human, a soldier under the direct order of the king that he served, who fought foe after foe with his friend, a warrior like him. But greed struck against him like a serpent. He was betrayed by his allies, stabbed in the chest, and left for dead. As he laid on the ground, dying, a voice came to him, offering him a chance at another life. He took the offer with open arms, unknowing of the curse that then came to strike him, or the being which he had sold his soul to.

The despicable curse granted Ecabe mortality, but with a price; it held him back from the revenge he wanted and caused his life to continue without end. Ecabe quickly learned of the rules under which the curse operated, the chains which bound him to the earth. Labeled as a demon by his own town, he was driven out with fork and fire, forced to wander the world on his own. Along his journeys, he met a ragtag trio of Pokémon inflicted with a curse similar to his. The four teamed up and began traveling across Sinnoh, striking fear into the hearts of people and Pokémon alike, and slowly creating the legend of the Roaming Demon.

Throughout his travels, Ecabe kept an eye on his betrayer, waiting for the moment in which his enemy would breathe his last breath. But even when disaster struck – fire, disease, war – the fool would keep on living, unaffected. From those tragedies, several of the people he knew and loved lost their lives; in the midst of the turmoil and the stares of frightened townspeople, he was present at their deaths, furthering his demon motif.

At the moment, he’s been using his persona as the Roaming Demon to entertain himself, scaring individuals and gathering tribute.

Special:
+ Humility – The curse that Ecabe bears is a powerful magic. First, it grants him immortality from direct attacks, (such as Pokémon moves or weapons) and from deaths caused by the inability to obtain things needed for the processes of the human body, (suffocation, starvation, disease, etc.) The ability also allows Ecabe to retaliate against those who have harmed him. If a move or an attack causes damage to him, Ecabe can choose to have revenge. If he does, the power of the attack is immediately reflected in an unavoidable, unseeable move, and the coinciding wound is then healed completely. If he does not choose to retaliate upon impact, he may hold the wound on his person until he sees it fit to take revenge.

There are, however, several limits to this ability. His immortality is not complete – indirect death from things such as poison or falling inanimate objects are possible. His power to take revenge against an opponent’s attack is quite limited, as well. While the curse in is effect, he cannot fight; he cannot attack or even command a Pokémon to use a move. If he chooses not to take retaliation against an attack, than the wound caused by the attack will not heal until revenge is taken. Also, if he is unable to retaliate against a foe, the wound will stay forever, unable to be healed. Breaking any of these rules would ultimately take away his immortality, thus killing him.

Pokémon:
Common Special: All three of Ecabe’s Pokémon are afflicted by the same curse. Like Ecabe, they are all ageless, though they can be killed by any other kind of death. While they can speak human language, they cannot speak Pokémon at all, and are usually despised by other Pokémon. They also lack resistance; any attack that would not be very effective against them does neutral damage, (though super effective moves and immunities remain the same).

--------------------
Name: Hesoc
Gender:Male
Species: Xatu ;178;
Appearance: Hesoc’s coloration is different from most Xatu. While Xatu tend to have red feathers, Hesoc’s feathers are completely grey, and the tips of his wings are a deep red. His eyes are tinted by an orange lining around the irises, giving them much more depth. He is constantly in motion, often hopping from one foot to another. His wings jet up and down as he speaks.

Personality: Unlike most Xatu, who are stereotypically calm and collected, Hesoc is an excitable blabbermouth. He can talk for hours without saying anything at all, and is quick to comment on a situation. Quick-tempered, he is easy driven to anger, and his quick to start a fight, even when fighting might not be a good idea. He is passionate about his views and isn’t afraid to express them, regardless of what others think. His battle style is quick and aggressive, powerful attacks mixed with support to strengthen his team. While pretending to be a sign from the Roaming Demon, Hesoc attempts to act as quiet and mysterious as possible, though he rarely holds his act together.

Special: Like most Xatu, Hesoc can occasionally see into the future. The visions he receives are variable and usually meaningless; however, he does occasionally see something of interest. As he has a tendency to spout out every thought he gets, it’s easy to know when he’s gotten a vision.

--------------------
Name: Leo
Gender:Male
Species: Kecleon ;352;
Appearance: Leo is an oddball of a Kecleon; instead of being green, like most Kecleon are, Leo is completely blue. The yellow tint on top of his head and around his eyes is slightly brighter than the yellow on most Kecleon. The stripe going down his belly is green, instead of the usual red color. While it’s impossible to tell, his tail is actually slightly shorter than most Kecleon, a trait that irks him whenever he thinks about it.

Personality: Leo is actually the closest of the ragtag bunch in personality to the Roaming Demon. Generally enigmatic, he specializes in speaking in rhyme, confusing passerby with nonsensical threats. Like Ecabe, he loves a good joke, though is much more lighthearted in his humor. He has an extreme loyalty to his friends, especially for Eadia, and will do anything to protect them. His battle style is unpredictable; his strategies change depending on his typing and his mood. He plays the voice of the Roaming Demon, whispering threats into the ears of cowardly passerby.

Special: Like most Kecleon, Leo can turn invisible everywhere but the stripe on his stomach. As such, he takes great care in making sure that the stripe stays hidden when he is using his invisibility.

--------------------
Name: Eadia
Gender: Female
Species: Zorua :570:
Appearance: Eadia takes great care in keeping herself clean, and as such, her mane is very smooth and silky in appearance. She keeps the fur on top of her head flowing and upright, making it stand straight it. Her eyes are a light yellow, always on the lookout for potential enemies. She often stands low to the ground, as if unsure of herself.

Personality:While Hesoc and Leo have gotten used to dealing with their curse, Eadia is still trying to live with it. A sensitive Zorua, she hates being seen as a freak by other Pokémon, and can be a bit paranoid about what people think of her. While she tries to act arrogant and brave, she is actually rather timid, shirking away from violence and fleeing from conflict with the use of her illusions. Her illusions are top-notch, though she only uses them for her friends, not for entertainment. Her battle style is all about staying on the sides, helping her allies using her illusions. Occasionally, she’ll hope into the end of a battle, helping her team with some light moves. Her illusions are used to make the Roaming Demon seem much more frightening, and she does a good job at making even the happiest of places seem like a horror zone.

Special: As a Zorua, Eadia can conjure up illusions that can affect the area around her. As these illusions are created using Dark energy, they block the use of all Psychic-type attacks and all psychic abilities.

Alright, I like it. Accepted.

It's good to know he's only semi-immortal, and that if need be, I can create a piano drop to kill him.

His Curse reminds me of the Curse/Mark of Cain.

"You will forever wander the earth, etc.
Any who harm you, retaliation will be sevenfold"

Have fun making him appear somehow.
