Wii has Flash Memory for (Wii) game saves and other stuff. Also, yes you need a GCN memory card to save Gamecube games on the Wii.

So do I need anything like a memory card for the Wii, i didn't exactly catch what you ment there?
Basically the Wii already has memory. Eventually yeah you will need more memory but to start off with no since it has some already.

SD cards are used to save Wii memory, and it also has a docking station for the gamecube at the top to put your memory cards in

^Another user hit with nasty load times...

Anyway, the Nintendo Wii uses does SD cards, which are the same memory cards used in certain MP3 players and most digital cameras. They're not super expensive, but i think that they're a little more expensive than your average Nintendo GameCube Memory Card. Though the plus side is that you can get yourself a pretty high SD card of around 8 gigabytes(not sure, but i did read that). Not a problem then. Easy to come by, easy to use. And lots of memory to go around. Smaller and more portable. Easier to lose though.

Only if you want to download stuff from your home computer, then you can use that same stuff on the Wii. Just don't download the roms illegally. That wouldn't work, plus you'd get in trouble, and Nintendo would have to shut down the Emulation sites of the worlds, and that would lead to a massive overgrowth of sites containing Hentai, pornography, and stupid, stupid flash games and videos that would make people like ME burst with laughter!

1) So I only Need the SD card to save stuff on the Wii, not the SD card reader?

2) Could I transfer stuff from computer to computer with that SD card reader?
