CHAPTER 1 Recalling Memories​

Ash Ketchum was like any normal sixteen year old, with interests in Pokemon and...girls. He was well built, had mud colored eyes, thick raven hair, and was currently walking through a thick and bushy forest. He was heading back to his hometown, Pallet Town, to see his mother and ask Professor Oak where the best region to travel to next is. His Pikachu, a yellow mouse that had shocking electrical powers was sleeping on his shoulder. After all, it was still tired after the exhausting Hoenn League, in which he was in the Top 16, respectively. He could still remember every single detail, as to what happened on that match.

Ash was standing on the red pillar, while his opponent, Mina, a beautiful girl from Celadon City, was facing him, over on the green pillar. Thousands of fans were screaming to either Ash or Mina into the inky black night, which was illuminated by the dazzilying lights of the stadium. They were down to their last Pokemon now. Ash was using Glalie, a large white and blue Pokemon that was only a head with two large demon-like black horns protruding from its skull. Mina was using Vaporeon, a clear blue Pokemon with a mermaid tail and a spectacular scaly mane.

“Glalie, use Ice Beam to freeze the water,” Ash ordered fiercely.

Glalie had just used headbutt on Vaporeon, knocking it down on to the water with a mighty splash followed by trumulous cheers by Ash's fans. While the ice-demon still had the chance, it shot a glistening beam of ice that instantly froze the water. Mina stood there, her long, shimmering brown hair, that fell to her side, and remarkebly, she stood there, smiling as if nothing had happened to Vaporeon.

“Freezing the water isn’t going to make my Vaporeon faint you know,” she sighed, “I just have to teach you a lesson, Vaporeon, use Surf to shatter the ice.”

The blanket of ice was starting to shake violently and little shards of ice broke apart and in less than a second, the ice was fiercely torn apart. A massive underwater wave had broken it, and Vaporeon stood elegantly on the tip of the watery wave. It coohed cutely, and jumped back to the water, hidden from view.

Fans of Mina were shrieking louder than ever, and she gave them a graceful bow.

Ash was shocked; he never saw a Pokemon use Surf while it was underwater, and while it was trapped by a thick coating of ice. Using rushed instinctions because he couldn't think straight with all of Mina's fans screaming endlessly, he cried, “Glalie, headbutt Vaporeon, now!”

Mina smiled again.

“How could she be smiling in a time like this?!” Ash thought, perplexed. "Though she is kind of cute, I must admit.

His friends were on the bleachers, Brock, May, and Max. He really wished that Misty was sitting over there, cheering him on, but she was back in Cerulean City, taking care of the Gym, as she is a Gym Leader. Misty was the first person ever to travel with Ash. He missed her fiery temper, losing her felt like he lost a piece of his heart. He knew that Misty would have done much better in a situation like this, she knew very much about Vaporeon, and he didn't...

Glalie lowered its head, and the horns gleamed from the light.

“Ice Beam under your body, now!”, commanded Mina.

Before Glalie could do anything, Vaporeon had sent a beam of ice under her mermaid body, and a growing, ice pyramid lifted her up, and it avoided being hit by Glalie.

"Counter it with Hyper Beam, Glalie!” roared Ash over the screams of the excited fans.

Mina again, was not concerned in the slightest, "Ice Beam!"

The two beams met; finally, the Ice Beam freezing the Hyper Beam. But Mina had a trick up her sleeve. Because the Hyper Beam was still frozen in a shell of ice, it hadn't exploded...yet.

"Vaporeon, use Surf to push Glalie on to the exploding ice!"

Again, Glalie was struck hard by another wave of Vaporeon and was its body clashed with the expanding, explosive ice.

The flask of ice exploded sending thick smoke into the air, shielding Glalie from view. Vaporeon was underwater, protecting herself from the dangerous blast. The crowd were on their toes now, awaiting the unpredictable result...Ash was in shock, all he could do was watch while every fibre in his body stood hoping, praying that Glalie would have enough power to fight back...

The smoke cleared, and Glalie was floating on the water, fainted.

“Glalie is unable to battle, Vaporeon and Mina win the round, they will proceed to the Quarter-Finals.” The referee, shouted.

Ash just stood there, completely stunned, as a red laser recalled Glalie back to its Pokeball, where Ash silently praised Glalie for putting up a great fight.

The crowd was roaring to Mina’s victory, some boys throwing roses to her, and a guy screamed for proposal. May, Max, and Brock were all saddened by the result.

Mina went over to Ash to congratulate him, but she did something that Ash never thought she would ever do, she kissed him on the cheek, where it turned furiously red.

The crowd was roaring and lots of “Aww” and “Young Love”, and a lot of, “they make such a cute couple”.

Ash felt his face burn, but he hoped that the kiss came from a red haired girl, not Mina, but he wouldn't argue, she was a very pretty girl and he needed a kiss after his loss.

“I do hope we meet again.” She winked and left.

I worked so hard to get those eight badges to compete in the Pokemon League. And know...I lost. Man, this is so unfair...If only I had been paying more attention to the battle than...her.



Ash looked up at the sky. It was twilight, the sky was a golden-orange speckled with red. Ash decided to camp. He continued to walk until he would find a good place to rest for the night, but something caught his eye. It triggered his memory, and thoughts and emotions were flooding through his brain. It was the lake, the lake that he had first met Misty. He remembered her fishing him out of the lake, and how angry she was when he borrowed her bike, and how they started traveling together...how they went on countless, magical adventures.

He had so many memories with Misty. He was lonely too, because May and Max went back to Petalburg City, to reunite with their parents. And Brock went back to Pewter City, to meet up with his enormous family, as well. All these thoughts swamped through him, and he took out the handkerchief that Misty gave him, as a farewell present. It was about a year old, but Ash rummaged through his bag, and took it out and put it under his pillow, and slept.

“Misty! Come here, I think Corsola hurt herself!” bellowed Daisy. Misty groaned to herself, she didn’t get enough sleep; she was up all night thinking about Ash and the memories they had with each other.

Misty Waterflower was a fifteen year old girl with fiery, red hair that mirrored her temper and personality, aqua eyes in which you could stare into its gaze for an eternity. She was tall, and had a curved body, that wasn't a surprise, seeing how active she was during the day with all her battles and swimming with her Pokemon. Her main Pokemon were Gyarados; a large and ferocious sea snake that was feared by many and the powerhouse of her team, Corsola; a pink pokemon that looked like coral, it was trained very well and could fight off some Pokemon with ease.

She grudgingly walked down the stairs, tripped on the last few steps, where she fell on her Psyduck, "WHY IS IT THAT I ALWAYS HAVE TO DO THE WORK OF THIS GYM ALONE?!" she bellowed over her shoulders

"Daisy, why the hell did you wake me up for? I was tired!" complained Misty angrily, yawning heavily and rubbing her eyes.

“Misty, it's afternoon, you were supposed to be awake since nine! And by the way...do you have a bucket?!” Daisy asked, a look of deep disgust was starting to form around her face.

"Why would you need a bucket? Misty asked curiously, but she knew that it wouldn't be good.

"Because I think Im going to puke, your breath is positively revolting! Why don't you ever brush your teeth?! Daisy yelled naively.

Misty placed her hand over her mouth. "Shut up." Misty replied defensively. "I couldn't do anything, it sounded like an emergency so I rushed!"

“Do you miss traveling with Ash, Misty? Daisy asked quickly, catching Misty off guard.

Misty got angry with all these accusations. “Yes, how is that even a question? Anything is better than staying with you, I actually considered committing suicide the other day!" That was a down-right lie, she always exaggerated when she was in a bad mood.

Daisy sighed, "Its too bad you have to take care of the Gym, because we could do it. We're actually good trainers from now on, you could go and meet up with Ash if you like."

Misty laughed. "Yeah, and then when I call to check, I find that all the badges disappeared, in like, what, a week?"

“Yeah right. Why don't you go with Ash and kiss? I know you want to do that, you naughty girl!” teased Daisy, who couldn't help but giggle.

“Duh- I mean NO, I DON’T!” Misty screamed, blushing furiously, now looking like a bright, red tomato.

“Well, well, well, go back to bed and dream about your boyfriend, missy.” Daisy laughed.

"Shut your mouth! I don't like Ash, all right? Now would you please stop harassing me?" And Misty pushed her sister into the swimming pool.

So this takes place after an alternate ending to the Hoenn League in place of AG132? I just like to know when "plot hijacks" happen. A personal preferance thing.

"Because, I think Im going to puke, your breath smells like rotten eggs. UGH!!
Misty placed her hand over her mouth.
Daisy knew what she had to do.

The character giving the line at the start of that exchange isn't really clear.

Hmm... unless Mina's gonna make a later appearance, I honestly think Tyson and the battle Ash had with him in the Anime would have worked as his last match. Perhaps rewrite the end of the Kaede Match (that Ash won) to include the kiss, and then transistioning into his match with Morrison?

But it's your story. And it is an interesting direction. I wonder if the Battle Frontier is going to happen...

Good first chapter and it has a lot of promise!

“Yes, I do. I like Pika-“But Daisy interrupted her.

However for this you just have the next person interrupt, you don't need to say they are, a hyphon in the middle of a word is sufficient.

And I agree with PikamasterADV that you should state or make it very obvious where you fic starts and any changes from the anime (if a fic related to the anime) such as no Morrison or Tyson(?).

Pretty good first chapter, you just have a few issues to deal with:

Misty was a tall girl with orange hair, she had emerald green eyes, that were simply stunning, she was also a Gym Leader of the Cerulean City, and trains Water Type Pokemon.

You used 'was' and 'had' and 'were' and then you say 'trains'.... All the tenses were past except the last one. You must make sure that you have all tenses straightened out. I used to make those mistakes... that's why it helps to read your work over after you've written it =].

“Yes, I do. I like Pika-“But Daisy interrupted her.

Make sure your quotation marks are correct. This confuses people when you don't space it out.
Other than that, just wacth out for your conventions and sentence structures... that's all. Great start! =]

Chapter 2

First off, I would like to thank Pika Master, Esperon,and XxM!styXx for supporting me in writing this fic. I promise you that this chapter is much longer and WAAAY better. I hope i improved since the last chapter.


Would you guys be nice enough to comment on it, if you think its bad give me suggestions please.... I need this fic to be a success


So here it is:

Chapter 2: Tension​

“Come on Pikachu, wake up, we have to go home!” Ash nudged the little yellow rodent.

“Pika, pi...” groaned Pikachu grumpily.

“Ok, fine, if you want to sleep, then sleep on my shoulder.” said Ash lovingly.

Pikachu jumped to his shoulder, licked his face before falling asleep. It soon fell fast asleep. Ash took one more look at the lake before he left. He met Misty on this very rock he was standing on. He felt elation build up inside him, and he had a great idea. He took out his Pokeball and called out Sceptile, a large green lizard with many yellow orbs on its back and a large, leafy tail and two blades made of leaf on the side of its green arms.

“Sceptile!” cried the lizard looking Pokemon.

“Sceptile, I want you to use Leaf Blade on the rock, and I want you to carve out two circles, and a horizontal line between them, okay?” Ash said to his Pokemon.

Sceptile obeyed his master’s request, no matter how weird the request was. Sceptile’s arm that had the long leaves started to radiate with a green glow, and the leaves began to get larger, and Sceptile slashed the rock with his razor-sharp leaves and finally carved out two circles and finally the line. Ash beamed. Ash recalled Sceptile to its Pokeball, and thanking it. Pikachu was just staring at the marking in the rock, and then he finally realized what the drawing meant. It was where he first took Misty’s bike to save Pikachu. So Ash told Sceptile to carve a bicycle. Pikachu looked at his master and gave him a suspicious look, and smiled naively at the trainer. Ash looked away, he started to blush.

“Well, lets just get this show on the road.” Ash said

So Ash and Pikachu started to make their way back. They stopped at an inn to have lunch on the outskirts of Virdian City. The outskirt of the city was dusty, and had small pubs and inns, and that was about it. Ash entered but there was nobody there, except the bartender. The bartender didn’t smile or talk. He didn’t do anything at all except stare. Ash started to move cautiously up to him to order a sandwich and water. He took a deep breath, and ordered.

“I would like a sandwich and water please.”

He grunted, and gave him a piece of cheese and turkey sandwich. Ash thanked him, and he grunted again. Ash eagerly left the inn, and wondered if the bartender could even talk. Ash detached the wrapper that was around the sandwich. Ash took a sniff, and it smelt delicious. Ash took a grateful bite from the sandwich and ate half of it. He left the other half for Pikachu. Pikachu started to eat from the sandwich, and finished it all in about a minute.

“Wow, you’re pretty hungry there, aren’t you buddy?” asked Ash, stroking his ears.

“Pika, pi, pikachu.” Said Pikachu, and soon after finishing the sandwich he fell asleep.

Ash was walking on a road, it was sunset and the sun was starting to fall behind the lush green hills sending out bright orange rays. He suddenly had a sense of deja vu, and with a lurch in his stomach he finally realized that he was standing on the road where he said good-bye to Misty. Ash felt really sad, he truly missed her. Ash sighed and decided to start moving. He continued to walk and he finally arrived at Pallet Town. Ash and Pikachu started to sprint to the house, passing many suburban houses and lovely gardens along the way. Ash couldn’t stop, he missed his mother loads. He finally saw his house around the corner, he entered the house quietly, so that he could surprise his mom. Ash saw his mother, sitting on the couch watching a talk show, and eating popcorn.

He crept up behind the couch quietly, and said in a low voice. “Hi, Mom.”

Her bowl of popcorn soared in the air, sending popcorn everywhere. He grinned when she saw him.

"ASH!" she shrieked and ran over to give him a massive hug, and he hugged her back, and she kissed him endlessly.

When she finally released him, she said with a glowing look on her face, “Honey, you didn’t tell me that you were going to come!”

“I wanted to surprise you!” replied Ash happily.

Delia looked at him lovingly and then gave him a warm hug and a tear fell from her eye. Ash also felt a tear falling from his eye. That night she gave him a mouth-watering dinner, and then they talked about lots of things. After talking for a while, he told her that he would like to see Professor Oak in the morning, so he could ask him where the next destination was best to go to.

“Oh you come back, and you leave in a blink of an eye.” said Delia, who was still holding her son in her loving arms.

“No Mom, I’m going to stay for a month, so no worries at all.” Ash smiled to his mother.

“Ash, where is Pikachu?” asked his mother.

“Oh my god!” he found Pikachu watching a show about people who abuse Pokemon, Ash saw Pikachu and his eyes were bulging out, and when he wanted to put the popcorn in his mouth, he missed. Ash couldn’t help but laugh. He closed the T.V, and when Pikachu saw Delia, he jumped into her arms and gave her a good licking; she gave Pikachu a big hug and a kiss on the head.

Ash gave his mother a big kiss on the cheek and on the head, and she kissed him back too. They bid each other good night, and he soon went to bed, Pikachu right behind him. As soon as Ash laid his head on the pillow he fell right asleep.

“Ash, honey bunny, wake up! Professor Oak is here!” called Delia.

Ash rolled over to the side of the bed, “All right, I’m coming.” He couldn't believe it was morning already.

He slowly brushed his teeth, very slowly. After that, he wore a white short and a white shirt, and wore white sneakers. He then walked down the stairs, Pikachu on his shoulder. He saw Professor Oak sitting on a couch, before Delia could say anything, he signaled her to keep Oak busy, so that he could have a bite to eat. She kept tapping her watch quickly, telling him to finish quickly. He ate an omelet, and Pikachu ate a piece of toast. When he finished he went to the sitting room.

“Hi, Professor.” Ash said in a toneless voice.

Professor Oak turned his gaze to Ash, “Ash, my boy, how are you?

They shook hands.

Professor Oak sat down. “So Ash, you wanted my advice on where to go next, right?”

“Yes, I do.” replied Ash.

“Ash, have you ever heard of the Battle Frontier?” asked Professor Oak, who took a sip from his tea.

“Battle Fountain? No, I never heard of it, why?" asked Ash, he was starting to feel very curious.

“Not Battle Fountain, Battle Frontier.” Professor Oak corrected him.

“Oh, right. No problem. But what is the Battle Frontier?” Ash asked when he finished devouring a large portion of his Coke.

But Delia interrupted them by entering the sitting room with a tray full of pastries, cupcakes, and tea. Ash immediately took a cupcake that had chocolate icing on top that tasted marvelous. Professor Oak just had tea as usual.

Delia sat down on the couch next to Ash. “So have you guys decided on where to go next?”

“Almost.” said Ash.

“Like I was saying, the Battle Frontier is a small, humble island that lays far east of the Hoenn mainland.” said Professor Oak.

Ash sighed, “Do I collect badges over there?”

“No, you don’t collect badges, Ash, you collect a Frontier Symbol.” said Professor Oak.

Ash was starting to get confused. “What is a Frontier Symbol?”

“I guess you could say a Frontier Symbol is like a badge. And if you defeat the Frontier Brain, the boss, you will earn yourself a Frontier Symbol.” replied Professor Oak.

Ash took another grateful gulp of Coke, “So I just have to collect the Frontier Symbols, and I win, right?”

Professor Oak was getting a headache from all the questions he was receiving. “Okay Ash, let me tell you everything, and don’t interrupt, okay?”

Ash nodded, annoyed.

“Okay, the Battle Frontier is a small island that lays far east of the Hoenn Mainland. And in the island, you get to battle the Frontier Brains...they're the same as Gym Leaders." he added to the look of confusion on Ash's face. He continued, "and if you win, you will earn yourself a Frontier Symbol. Understand?” summarized Professor Oak.

Ash nodded again.

“But the rules of the Battle Frontier, however, have been altered. This time, you have to have a partner that will battle with you. But that’s not all; the people who participated have to battle in the Battle Tower, Battle Contesta, and finally Battle Maze. You have to win the Frontier Brain, so that you can participate in the Battle Frontier League. And you have to finish this all in a maximum two months.” said Professor Oak.

“Two months?! That’s it; don’t they usually give us a year?” retaliated Ash.

“Well, you only have to collect three Symbols, and like I said, it's only a three hour walk from one Battle Frontier arena to the next. It really is quite small.” answered Professor Oak.

"Why is it so small?!" asked Ash, who was very curious to find out the answer to his question.

Professor Oak took out his briefcase, and pulled out a small but thick book. "This is the Battle Frontier Guide Book, take care of it well. Oh yeah, I already registered you in the Battle Frontier League, so you don’t have to register yourself.” smiled Professor Oak.

“Thanks Professor, that’s great,” said Ash thankfully. He finally found out that the Battle Frontier was so small because they didn't want many people in the land, they could only see them by the telivision.

Delia was quiet and finally said something, “So darling, who will participate with you in the league?”

Ash eyes stood wide open, he doesn’t know who to pick.

“Well, I guess I could call Brock.”

Delia got angry. “Ash, don’t let Brock participate with you. He could come and travel with you, but I think you should let Misty participate with you.”

“MISTY?!” screamed Ash.

Professor Oak sat up straight, “Your mother is right you know, letting Misty battle with you is a great choice, she’s one of your best friends, and is an experienced trainer. I actually just went to her Gym a few weeks ago and I must say, she is a better battler than Brock.”

“I have the perfect solution, how about letting Brock, May and Max travel with you, and Misty battling with you. May does need a girl to travel with, God knows how bored she is of boy talk, and Misty could keep her company.” said Delia and she patted Ash's arm.

“I will call Caroline and ask her and you should call Misty!”

“ME?” yelled Ash.

“Yes you, you need to learn how to face the girl you have a crush on!” grinned Delia.

Ash blushed furiously. Professor Oak laughed, and left back to the lab without further ado.

Delia just stood there, looking at her son. She was amazed by how fast he was growing. It just seemed like yesterday she was telling him not to jump inside a Gyarados’s mouth, and know, he was interested in girls. She smiled to herself, and gave Ash a big hug.

“Well, Ash, I suggest you go call Misty, and I call Caroline so that May and Max could come with you.” said Delia lovingly, and she went upstairs to her room to call Caroline.

Ash thanked her, and he slowly walked to the video calling machine. His heart was pumping so fast, he was surprised not to find his veins popping. He took a very deep breath. And his hand slowly pressed the first digit, and after for what seemed like an hour, he entered the final digit. The phone was ringing; his heart was pumping so fast he felt like it was going to burst. Someone picked up.

“Hello?” said Lily. She was Misty’s sister that had pink hair, and she was very pretty.

“Hi Lily, it’s me Ash.” said Ash.

“Hi Ash! How are you?” asked Lily.

“I’m fine, I guess. How are you?” asked Ash.

“Well, my life has been, like, busy, busy, busy.” replied Lily. He had a mental image of her twirling her hair between her fingers, but for the first time, she wasn't.

“Can I please speak to Misty?” asked Ash, and he could feel his face getting red with emberassement and adrenaline was pulsing through him.

“Sure. You’re blushing madly, Ash.” she started laughing loudly. “That’s so cute, you and Misty. Misty and Ash.”

Ash could still hear her laughing madly, even thought she already left to call Misty. He waited for a minute. Then he heard footsteps, he started to sweat.

“Hey Ashy boy!” joked Misty playfully and she smiled widely exposing her white, straight teeth.

Ash’s got completely dumb-struck, she looked spectacular. Her orange hair grew much longer, and she held it up in a pony-tail, but this time it wasn’t from the side of her head which made her look like a hen, but she held it on the back of her head. Her aqua eyes were sparkling, and her body had a curved hour-glass figure. All in all, she was beautiful, like a precious gem.

Misty’s mouth started to open wide. She thought Ash looked more attractive then ever, his black hair, his chocolaty eyes. She saw Ash’s body, he was so fit, she felt like she was going to melt on the spot.

“H-Hey Misty!” said Ash, his face turning even redder than it was before. “How are you?”

“I’m doing great, its hard work but it’s worth the work.” replied Misty. “Congratulations for being in the Top 16!” she added kindly, giving him a thumbs-up.

“Thanks Misty!” said Ash. “Misty, I wanted to ask you something.”

“Okay, Ash.” replied Misty. "Ask away."

“Have you ever heard of the Battle Frontier?” he asked cautiously.

“What the hell is that?” asked Misty.

Ash had to repeat all of the information to Misty, and now he knew how Professor Oak felt, Misty asked endless questions.

He had finally come to the end, where he would ask her if she would join him, and he was starting to get tense, and it was building rapidly, “So do you want to be my partner?”

Misty was flattered, “Thanks Ash. You’re so sweet to pick me over Brock.”

After that sentence, both Ash and Misty blushed.

“Well, you’re one of my best friends, so yeah...I consider you to be a very special person to my heart.” concluded Ash.

Misty blushed even harder. “Yes Ash, I would love to travel with you.”

“Really? Thanks Misty, you’re the best!” Ash yelled in happiness.

“Well, did it take you that long to figure out that I was the best?”

They both laughed harder than ever.

“So, do you want me to come over to your house, and we can travel from there?” asked Misty.

Ash thought hard, and decided it was the best that she would come.

“Okay, see you soon, Misty.” blushed Ash.

“Okay, I miss you. Bye!” said Misty quickly.

They soon both shut the phone. But what Ash didn’t know is that his mother was eavesdropping on the conversation. And what Misty didn’t know is that her three sensational sisters did the same thing too.

Ash looked over at the starry sky, smiled and blushed, he was finally going to see Misty!

Unfortunately for Misty, she didn't know that she would soon be in for an extremely rough competition.

Okay... Now, I'm doing this so I can help.

Then Ash had a great idea, he called out Sceptile.

In this point in the Anime, Ash's Sceptile is still a Grovyle. And us, as the readers, really had no hint that Sceptile had evolved earlier. I'm a fiend for having things line up with the canon, so that's why I had to point it out.

Professor Oak seems to know a lot about the Battle Frontier... I guess Scott's not gonna make an appearance. Which is alright with me, he seems to be kind of a pedo, following kids around in the woods and what-not.

As for the chapter as a whole, a lot of 'ground' (that is to say, plot) is covered in a short time, however, the feeling of the chapter is generally rushed. There are a few places where Ash is alone (with Pikachu, but still) and really doesn't seem to take time to reflect (especially if he's thinking so much about Misty) just to cover more plot. Are we rushing to get to the Battle Frontier so Misty and Ash can interact more?

On that note, I like the new way you're taking the Frontier in. It's completely origonal. I wonder which Brains are going to get chosen to be in the fic?

Is May coming along for the ride? Being the romantic she is, she'd probably go out of her way to set Ash and Misty up together. That is, unless, May is going to be Misty's rival. And in that case, May's Bulbasaur and Solarbeam Munchlax gives her a type advantage over ALL of Misty's Pokemon. Not to mention how Combusken, Beautifly, and Super Skitty could pull some Hax out, if nesessary. All I can say is, don't make May a one-dimentional villian who is out to steal Ash away from Misty. Too many PokeShippers have that mindset, and can't see what a sweet girl she is.

Okay this is a good fic so far, I just have some advice for you.

“I would like a sandwich and water please, sir.”
He grunted, and gave him a piece of cheese and turkey sandwich. Ash thanked him, and he grunted again. Ash left the inn, and wondered if the bartender could even talk. Ash detached the wrapper that was around the sandwich. Ash took a sniff, and it smelt delicious. Ash took a grateful bite from the sandwich and ate half of it. He left the other half for Pikachu. Pikachu started to eat from the sandwich, and finished it all in about a minute.
“Wow, you’re pretty hungry there, aren’t you buddy?” said Ash, stroking his ears.
“Pika, pi, pikachu.” Said Pikachu, and soon after finishing the sandwich he fell asleep.

It's good to have details in a story, but you should only add them when it is something of importance, like the part with Sceptile was good description because I'm sure later on it's going to pop up again. Also, you should read your chapter a little closely because sometimes you have little mistakes in there that might have passed you.
But besides that, I like where the story is going so far. Keep it up!

Chapter 3: Reunited With a Twist​

Ash started to pack for the trip to the Battle Frontier, Delia with him, helping him. Pikachu was sleeping on the couch.

“Ash, would you like new clothes?” asked Delia, but still packing.

“I don’t know.” shrugged Ash. He really didn’t care; he liked the clothes he was wearing.

Delia sat up straight, went to his bed, and lay down. She didn’t tell him that Misty would arrive tonight; he still thought that she would arrive next week.

“Misty is coming today, Ash.”

Ash stopped packing, looked at his mother for a few seconds. “Today?” he said very quietly.

“Yes, she is, so I suggest that you take a bath, and change your underw-”

Ash turned red, even though he and his mother were the only one in the room. “Mom! I know, I’m not a little kid I’m fourteen years old!” said Ash, shyly.

Delia sat up gave him a quick kiss on his cheek, and left the room. “She will be here in about a hour.” she added slyly.

“H-Hour? One hour? Sixty minutes? Three thousand six hundred seconds?” Ash said naively.
Delia didn’t reply, she was just laughing at him. She closed the door, leaving Ash standing all alone. Ash didn’t even move a muscle, he was as still as a statue, as if he was petrified. Ash went to his closet and opened it; he soon decided he would wear a light blue t-shirt that was plain, and wore beige short that fell a little over his knees. He wore white sneakers, to cap it all up. And how can we forget Ash, he wore his official Pokemon League hat. He soon heard the doorbell ring. Ash’s heart skipped a beat. He dashed to the window, to check if it was Misty. It wasn’t Misty standing there.

It was a girl with shiny brown hair that fell to her waist; she was wearing a tank-top and a mini skirt. She had an hourglass figure. She seemed attractive. She looked up at Ash, smiled, and waved. When Ash could fully see her face, he was dumbstruck; he rubbed his eyes to check if he was seeing things. But no, what he saw the first time was right.

It was Mina.

Delia opened the door, she was shocked to find out that it was not Misty. She soon recognized her face; she was the girl that beat Ash in the Hoenn League. She doesn’t forgive the person easily if they beat Ash.

“May I slap you?-I mean, may I help you?” correcting herself immediately.

Mina stared at her. “I wanted to see Ash. Is he here?” she asked.

“Yes, he is up stairs. Please sit down, I’ll get Ash.” answered Delia, looking at Mina one more time, just before she climbed the stairs leading to Ash’s room.

Delia knocked on Ash’s door, she entered the room. Ash was there. From the look in his face, Delia knew that Ash knew Mina was here.

“Come on, she wants to see you. I’ll give you two, time to yourselves.” said Delia.

Ash nodded. He started descending from the stairs. He didn’t know how he would say hi to her. What if she kisses me on the cheek, and I don’t kiss her back? And before he knew it, he was at the foot of the stairs.

“Ash!” screamed Mina excitedly.

“Hi Mina!” said Ash.

Mina planted two kisses on his cheek, and Ash felt them fry. She sat herself down.

“So, Mina, umm, what brings you to these parts of Kanto?” asked Ash curiously, his face still blushing.

“Come on, you silly boy, I came to see you!” said Mina shyly.

Ash was speechless; he was surprised to know someone as pretty as her, want to see him. “Aww, shucks, what’s so special about me?” asked Ash in a flirtatious way. Ash knew that all this flirting was not helping.

Mina stood up, put her index finger on his chest, and opened the first buttons in his T-Shirt. Ash heard the doorbell ring, and ran towards the door. An excellent excuse so that he and Mina wouldn’t do something above the level of flirting.

He opened the door, and there he found Misty. Wearing a blue short and white T-Shirt, she looked very pretty.

“Ash!” she screamed.

“Hi Misty!” giving the exact same reaction as he did with Mina.

Misty entered the house, and let out a big sigh. But she soon saw Mina.

“Who’s that?” both girls asked at the same time.

Ash laughed pathetically, but soon stopped, because both looks on the girls were dead serious. “Misty, this is Mina, she was the girl that-

“Oh I know who she is, and what she did.” She turned to Mina, “I think it was unfair that Ash lost to you.”

“Oh is that right?” said Mina firing up.

Both girls took a step forward at the same time. Ash soon stopped it. “Come on, you guys are acting like babies. Why don’t we go out for lunch? I know this really good place to eat.”

Misty looked at Ash, “Sure thing, I’m starving.”

Mina didn’t say anything but nodded, they soon left the house. Pikachu stayed to keep Delia company.

The walk was a quiet one, neither one said a thing so that they wouldn’t start a fight again. They found the small restaurant that they were looking for, it read Buffet Galore. Ash’s mouth started to water.

“Ash, you’re starting to drool.” said a laughing Misty, remembering the old Ash, and she was quite happy to find him the same after a year and a half of not traveling together.

When they entered the restaurant, it was a riot! People from every direction came up to Ash, Misty, and Mina, wanting their autographs and picturing with them. They were all famous at a level, both Ash and Mina competing in the Hoenn League, and Misty being the Cerulean Gym Leader, making everyone in Kanto knows who she is.

People were screaming, jumping, and even crying for those die-hard fans.
“Ash, will you sign my T-Shirt?” asked a blonde girl that was about Ash’s age. “I don’t have a pen, oh no!” she panicked. “That’s Ok, you can sign with my lipstick!” she added sarcastically, holding her lipstick up.


Misty and Mina were being flooded with boys. Most of them were teenagers, asking them for a date. Both had lots of roses, from the boys. They had to refuse, they didn’t even know there name, let alone how they look for some of the guys. Misty and Mina were forced to leave the restaurant. They didn’t find Ash, he was still inside. Girl fans would never leave someone famous. There were girls on all sides of Ash. Some were trying to touch his shirt.

An idiotic girl touched his pants. “AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! I touched Ash Ketchum’s pants. I will never, EVER wash my hands with soap again!” Her and her friend went running out of the restaurant, laughing stupidly.

One girl was crawling on top of the heads of Ash’s fans. She licked her lips, and Ash saw her, he tried to escape, but it was no good, his fans kept him secure. She licked her lips again, “Pucker up, cutey, mmmmmm”

Ash’s eyes widened in fear. He then closed his eyes, waiting for the worst. He felt something slimy touch his lips. It soon ended.

“Sour, but still kissable!” and she too left the restaurant.

Mina had an idea, she grinned to herself. She threw a Pokeball, and out appeared a Steelix. Mina then entered the restaurant and screamed at the top of her lungs, “THERE IS A WILD RAGING STEELIX! EVERYONE EVACUATE FROM THE RESTAURANT IMMEDIATELY!”

The girls screamed and sprinted out of the restaurant. Mina saw Ash, his clothes greatly wrinkled, and his face full of different colors, from the girls make up.

“Thanks Mina.” said Ash while he was tidying his clothes.

Mina winked. She left the restaurant and found Misty lying facedown on the floor; it was physically evidently shown that she did not fight well against the stampede. She laughed, and Misty slowly started to get up.

“Wow, you sure are reckless!” said a raging Misty. She was still massaging parts of her body that were sore.

Mina continued to laugh.

Mist fired up. “Continue to laugh, that just shows that your brain is as big as my toe nail.” said Misty sarcastically.

Mina got ****** off. They both waited for Ash, he soon came back.

“Let’s go home.” said Ash.

The three went back to the house, and soon had lunch. Pikachu and Delia were sill having their afternoon nap. They had chicken with French fries, they all ate quickly. Most of the time, the two teenage girls kept glaring at one another.

“I think I’m going to sleep.” Said Misty, her stomach was full. And everyone feels sleepy after a full stomach.

“Yeah I think you should were leaving tomorrow morning to the Battle Frontier.” replied Ash.

Misty nodded, and left to the guestroom.

Mina looked at Ash.

“Ash.” she said cutely. “Can I spend the night here?”

Ash didn’t even know the girl but how could he resist such a face that spelled ‘beauty’ all over it? He nodded and told her to head up to the guestroom.

They both cleaned the dishes, every once in a while, they would both catch one of them looking at the other.

After they finished, Ash felt extremely drained. He bid Mina good night, and went to the guest room to bid Misty good night. He found her asleep, the room was cold, and Misty didn’t have any blanket over her. Ash got a blanket from the guest closet. Misty opened her eyes, and knew that Ash would fall for the trick. When Ash put the blanket over her, she closed her eyes. He is so incredibly sweet.

When Ash left the room, Mina entered the room. She saw the small scene, and she knew that she would have to make him wrap a blanket over her. She changed into her pajamas, and she too fell fast asleep.

Ash entered his mother’s room, and looked at her sleeping peacefully, Pikachu right beside her. He smiled; he liked the fact that his Pokemon were close to his mother as well. He closed the light, tucked in his mother, and gave her a quick kiss, and left the room.

He opened the door of his room, and slowly changed into his pajamas. When his head touched his pillow, he fell fast asleep. He dreamt that he and Misty and Mina were having sex, a threesome. He dreamt that he was in a Jacuzzi and he and Misty and Mina were naked, they were doing things to him that made him feel very insecure, but in a good way. The last thing he remembered was Misty and Mina kissing his chest. He moved a lot. When he woke up, he completely forgot about the dream.

The next morning, Delia woke him up.

“Come on honey, you have to leave today.” said Delia yawning.

“Pika, pi.” said Pikachu. He missed his trainer, and he licked his face.
Misty and Mina were in the room. Mina had just finished taking a shower and was combing her long hair, and she saw Misty moving.

“Well, good morning, sleepy head.” said Mina.

Misty gasped; she didn’t know that she was staying here.

Mina looked at Misty, “It’s a good thing Ash let me stay here for the night. And guess what? I’m going to travel with you and Ash!”

Misty groaned loudly, “That’s great.”

When Misty arrived down at the kitchen, Pikachu jumped into her arms, and hugged her. Delia hugged Misty and kissed her on the cheek. She was touched that Ash’s mother thought of her as her own daughter. She had eggs that were delicious, for breakfast.

Delia bid them goodbye, she was in tears when she said bye to Ash. She gave him a very wet kiss, and she gave Misty the same. She didn't say anything to Mina, except bow her head.

Ash, Misty, Mina, and Pikachu all left the house. They were now officially on the road to the Battle Frontier. They entered a small Pokemon Center, so that they could decide which way would be best to reach the Battle Frontier. They entered the small Pokemon Center and found it to be busy as usual. They all found a vacant table with comfy chairs, and quickly snatched it before anyone could get it.

Ash, Misty, and Mina placed their bags on the floor. They took out the map. They all looked at it closely.

Misty had called May just before they left, and decided that they would also travel with them, and Brock would come too, Max also.

“We just have to go through Viridian Forest, then through Mt.Moon, and when we reach Vermilion City, we will board the St.Maria, where we will meet May, Brock, and Max, by the way. And the ship will take us to the Battle Frontier.” summarized Ash.

“Who is May, Max, and Brook?” asked Mina.

“Brock.” Misty corrected her, and was happy to. “They are really good friends of us, and they will be traveling with us too.”

Mina looked at Misty, and she would have been happy to hit her with a shovel. Fortunately, there was none in sight.

“So full steam ahead!” said Ash excitedly. “First stop, Viridian City and then Viridian Forest!”

Misty groaned, she didn’t like Viridian Forest. There were creatures that lived inside that were scary, to Misty. Bug Pokemon. “Oh no.” she murmured to herself. “Too bad for them, if they come near me, I will just have to kick them.”

That was a pretty funny chapter, MistyLover, thanks for the PM! The whole restaurant scene was pretty funny, I actually had an idea similar to that in my fic that's in the works. You still had a few mistakes here and there, but you are getting better! One thing that made my eyes bulge out was this scene:

He opened the door of his room, and slowly changed into his pajamas. When his head touched his pillow, he fell fast asleep. He dreamt that he and Misty and Mina were having sex, a threesome. “Oh my god!” he found Pikachu watching a show about people who abuse Pokemon, Ash saw Pikachu and his eye was bulging out, and when he wanted to put the popcorn in his mouth, he misses. Ash couldn’t help but laugh. He closed the T.V, and when Pikachu saw Delia, he jumped into her arms and gave her a good licking; she gave Pikachu a big hug and a kiss on the head.

his eye was bulging out... That doesn't make sense... his EYE was bulging? You mean his eyeS wERE bulging? lol Umm and wanted to put the popcorn in his mouth, he misses. You are changing the tenses too much, it should be he misseD lol.
He closed the T.V, You don't close a television, telefone, or any other device as that... lol You can say he "shut off" or "turned off" the tv...but not closed lol =p just pointing out pretty obvious mistakes other than that... MUY BIEN! =D

Chapter 4 - Triggered Memories and Quarrel​

Ash and Misty were happily sleeping in one of the rooms that the Pokemon Center provided for traveling trainers.

Mina was taking a shower; it was already six in the morning. When she finished, she slid open the sliding door, and reached for the towel. She wrapped the towel around her supernatural body. She walked over to the mirror and let out a big sigh. She brushed her teeth, and after spitting it out it showed that she had blinding white teeth.

She put on her slippers, opened the bathroom door, and walked over to the room. However, before she could reach for the door handle, she looked at the window, and what she saw was very big. She dashed over to see, but soon, the cloud was blocking her view.

“Hmm, what could it have been?” she thought curiously.

She shook her head and opened the door. The room was dimly lit; the only light that she could see was under the window, which was from the sun. She tiptoed quietly so that she wouldn’t wake Ash up. When she was on Misty’s side, however, she had no problem walking normally. Misty’s Azurill woke up.

“Azurill, Azu?” cried the baby Pokemon.

Mina looked back, “Oh, go back to sleep, you little cutie.” She patted the baby Pokemon and it soon went back to sleep. “I just don’t know why your trainer isn’t as cute.” she added.

Azurill heard her, and it thought of Misty as a mother, so it’s very protective of Misty. “AZU!” cried the baby Pokemon, and bubbles shot out of its cute little mouth.

“Huh?” said Mina. The bubbles hit her square in the face. She was wet again. “Oh, go back to sleep, you don’t want my Steelix eating your itty bitty body, now would it?” she said mischievously.

Azurill went under Misty’s blanket, it certainly freaked out.

She looked at Misty’s blanket, she saw a hump shaking. “Maybe I was too hard on it.” she murmured under her breath.

Mina slowly reached under Misty’s blanket; she wanted to apologize to Azurill. She touched something soft, and she pulled it, and she looked at Azurill. She bought it close to her face and whispered softly, “I’m sorry cutie; I didn’t mean to scare you.” She gave it a small hug.

Azurill jumped with its tail and licked her cheek. They were soon back on good terms.

Mina pulled the small chair from the desk, and sat on it. There was a mirror facing her, she started to admire her face, she kept twirling her hair with her fingers. And then, very stupidly, she began talking to herself.

“Hi, my name is Mina, and I’m the most beautiful person in the Milky Way Galaxy.” she said cutely.

“Well, hi there, sunshine.” she said in a macho voice. “My name is Ash, and I love you, wanna get married and rule a Planetary Nebula?”

It was very clear that she used the Universe as her dream home. And it was also evident that she talks to herself on a regular basis.

“Yes, I do, I do, I do.” she continued for ten times. “And then we shall call it ‘Love Cloud’, and it will be red and yellow, your favorite color.” she added.

She looked at herself in the mirror, and soon put her macho voice back on, “Well, what are you waiting for, munchkins?” she said in the macho voice.

She was having way too much of a good time to realize that Misty was listening to her!

Misty put the pillow over her mouth, she wanted to burst out laughing, but she wanted to hear what else she was going to say.
Mina continued talking to herself, this time about her and Ash jumping in a Black Hole. She never saw Misty’s eye open.

It was nine in the morning. All are awake. Nurse Joy came up to their table and gave them oatmeal. They thanked her, and she winked in return.

Ash finished the oatmeal in about thirty seconds. “Oh no! I forgot my Guide Book, hold on a sec, I’m going to go and get it.”

Ash left them; it was just Misty and Mina. This was the perfect opportunity for Misty to annoy Mina.

Misty took a sip of her hot chocolate, and said, “Mina, have you ever heard of a Love Cloud?” she said, hiding her grin.

Mina choked, “What on Earth makes you say that?” she asked.

Misty put her cup down and looked Mina straight in the eye, “Because I heard someone talking about wanting to rule a Planetary Nallouba.” she said.

“Nebula! Nebula!” Mina corrected her. “And no, I never heard of such a stupid thing.” she replied cautiously.

“Oh bugger! Does she know that I like Ash, and even worse that, does she know that I talk to myself!” she thought nervously.

Mina started inhaling deep breaths.

Misty stared at her.

“I’m back!” said Ash.

Both girls jumped, they totally forgot about Ash!

“Before we go, we should thank Nurse Joy, she was so nice for letting us stay.” said Mina thoughtfully.

The group left their plates on the table, and Mina was the first one there, she was averting Misty’s gaze.

They all thanked Nurse Joy separately, and she was happy to have such a nice group of trainers stay with her. They all bid her good bye, and soon they opened the door, to head to Viridian City.

It was a bright and sunny day, with a forget me not clear blue sky, it was absolutely spectacular, and there was a cool breeze that really is relaxing, motivating them all to travel.
They were already traveling for six hours, and they were getting very hungry. They walked and walked, finally arriving at the beautiful lake.

Both Ash and Misty were looking at it fondly for a while. Mina just stood there, looking at Ash and Misty; she was thinking that they were going crazy.

Ash and Misty looked at each other and blushed a shade of magenta.

“I can remember the first time we met here; it feels like yesterday doesn’t it.” She said shyly, twirling her legs.

Ash sighed, “Yeah it does.” agreed Ash.

Ash didn’t want her to see the marking if Mina was here, he wanted it to be special, just him and Misty.

So Ash placed his bag over the marking, so that no one could see it.

“So, what do you want for lunch?” asked Ash.

“What do you have?” shrugged Mina hungrily.

“Let me check.” said Ash, browsing through his bag to check.

His bag was very messy and it was hard to make out where the food was.

Misty, as usual, has no patience at all. “ASH! COME ON, MY STOMACH KEEPS GRUMBLING LIKE A GRANBULL!” bellowed Misty at Ash.

Ash gasped, “WAIT!” Ash retorted back at Misty.

Mina stood up, and blocked Misty’s way, “Leave him, he is still looking!”

Misty glared at her, “Who asked you, ‘Ruler of the Universe?”

Mina sat back down, that certainly shut Mina up. “Piece of Nosepass ****.” she murmured under her breath.

Ash finally found it, he had three huge sandwiches. All took one. They ate it gratefully, it was delicious.

“Mmmmmm, this is great!” said Ash, opening his mouth.

“I know!” said Misty, opening her mouth too, but she spit a large piece of turkey on Mina’s forehead.

Mina gasped. “OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME! I HAVE A PIECE OF TURKEY THAT HAS MISTY’S SPIT ON IT! REMOVE IT, HEEELLLLPPP!”

Misty got extremely annoyed. “I’m sorry, it’s just a piece of meat, it is not going to kill you, I repeat, and it’s not going to kill you!”

Ash was rolling around, laughing madly.

“ASH! This is not Jerry Springer, you don’t have to laugh! Give us a hand!” screamed Mina. “Get this filthy piece of meat off my clean head!”

Mina started to panic; she was flapping her hands madly. “Need air, need air, don’t worry, Mina, even if it is Misty’s spit on your head, you will get over it, eventually!” Mina said to herself.

Misty put her hand over her ears. She wasn’t handling Mina thinking that she was a piece of filth very well!

Ash finally stood up, and was slowly picking up the meat. “I’m sorry it’s taking so long!” Ash apologized.

Mina smiled at him, “Take as long as you want, I am in NO hurry!” said Mina flirtatiously.

Ash just laughed, he thought she was just joking! But she really was not joking!

He finally got the piece of meat out of her shiny head.

Mina got up and kissed Ash in the cheek; “Thank you, now, do you have any soap that will make all of Misty’s germs leave?” she thanked and asked.

Ash felt his face burn the places where Mina kissed him.

Misty looked at Ash, “Well, you don’t seem to be needing any soap!” she said sadly.

She looked back at Mina, “How could you be so mean? It was an accident!” said Misty angrily.

“I just did what you did to me!” said Mina, defending herself well. “We’re even now!”

“Whatever, talk to the hand, ‘cause the face ain’t gonna listen!” said Misty.

Mina ignored her.

“Hey, listen to me when I talk to you!” said Misty enraged.

“What are you gonna do about it?” challenged Mina.

“Let’s have a battle!” said Misty furiously!

“OK!” agreeing Mina.

Ash was just in the middle of this. “So, can I choose what kind of battle it’s going to be?” asked Ash curiously.

Misty and Mina nodded.

Ash beamed, “I want this to be a Double Battle!” said Ash.

Misty and Mina nodded.

Mina and Misty both reached for their Pokeballs.

“However, you will not decide which Pokemon you’re using! Pikachu is!” said Ash.

“Pika?” cried the little Pokemon.

“Please, both of you, place all of your Pokeballs in a pile.” instructed Ash.

Misty and Mina did as they were told. They both put all their Pokeballs in a pile, it was impossible to tell the difference.

Pikachu walked over to the pile and picked up a Pokeball. “Pika, pi.” said Pikachu, holding the ball to Ash.

Ash threw it and a beam of light appeared, out appeared a Corsola!

“So Misty’s first Pokemon is going to be Corsola!” said Ash.

Misty grinned, her Corsola was well trained.

Pikachu handed the next Pokeball to Ash, and Ash threw it, and out appeared a Gardevoir.

“Mina’s first Pokemon is going to be Gardevoir.” said Ash loudly.

The beautiful Pokemon went in front of Mina, protecting her; it is a very loyal Gardevoir.

Misty knew she was in for a rough match; Gardevoir is a Psychic Pokemon with tremendous Psychic Type Attacks.

Mina looked fondly at her Pokemon, “Isn’t she a beauty?”

Misty didn’t say anything.

Ash threw the third and fourth Pokeball at the same time, and two blinding beams of white and out appeared a Skarmory and a Starmie.

Skarmory went to Mina and Starmie to Misty.

Ash stood on top of the rock, “Misty’s Corsola and Starmie versus Mina’s Gardevoir and Skarmory! Let the battle begin!”

And so, the battle began……

Alright, in my opinon, it wasn't as good as the other chapters, but it had its shining moments like:

Misty took a sip of her hot chocolate, and said, “Mina, have you ever heard of a Love Cloud?” she said, hiding her grin.

Mina choked, “What on Earth makes you say that?” she asked.

I thought this sounded a lot like Misty, from the fact that she never misses an oppurtunity to make fun. Looking forward to next chapter and to the catfight in the next chapter.
