How do I get the Metal Coat from Beldum?

by gettin lucky when u pick it up from steven's house.

If I remember correctly you get them off of wild Magnemite, not Beldum. Use Theif/Covet or Trick.

correct. you don't get metal coat from beldum, only from wild magne(mite/ton). it's a rare item (5% of the time), but if you're playing emerald, having something with compoundeyes in front of your party helps.

Oh... But I remember seeing Serebii's Pokedex saying Beldum holds a Metal Coat... But is it just me?

it probably does, but that's referring to beldum caught in the wild, which is only possible through GS/AR.

Just use compound eye nicada, and theif, and the other moves on wild maginimites and magintons.

Well no, magnemites hold metal coats and not magnets.

theres a 5% chance of getting a Magnemite with metal coat so you need to be lucky to get a
Magnemite with metal coat

Kevster and obada, on FR/LG magneton may have a magnet. I think that's where the confusion was.

It could have been referring to the Metagross in Colosseum, which has a Metal Coat, (because it says it holds a Metal Coat for Beldum, Metang, and Metagross) or it could have just been a typo. You don't even really need a Metal Coat in RS, because the only Pokemon that evolve from it, Scyther and Onix, don't appear in RS.

Scizor and Scyther arent part of the hoenn dex you mean the national dex

just save when you are about to take the beldum..and soft reset if he doesn´t has it

BZZZT, wrong. on colosseum, hold items aren't "may", they're "always". you will never catch metagross, and find that it wasn't holding a metal coat, just like T-Tar will always be holding a Nugget when you snag it.
